Canford Chase is situated in the select area of Branksome Park and is within easy reach of the award-winning beaches of Poole and Bournemouth. Set in a secluded peaceful garden, it offers five-star luxury accommodation for fifty-two residents.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

Canford Chase is situated in the grounds of a large secluded garden with easy access, mature trees and various seating areas. The tastefully furnished reception with seating area adjoins the extensive ground floor lounge with a large flat-screen television.

The spacious dining room overlooks the grounds and garden. On the first floor, the quiet lounge gives on to two balcony areas. The large and airy lounge on the second floor provides additional television viewing facilities. The home has its own fully equipped hairdressing salon and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

Vanessa has been at Canford Chase for about 25 years! She is very happy and settled there. The staff have become like family to her and she has a great daily routine going. She has a lovely bright room which is always kept clean and tidy. Vanessa has a very good appetite and she loves the choice of
food from the menus, and always says how delicious the meals are. It is no surprise that Canford Chase has been rated as outstanding!

Lovely setting and rooms with an abundance of friendly staff always on hand to help. The Food is also exceptional and our family loved the cafe available for visitors to help themselves to coffee and home made cakes. My dad spent just over a month here he was extremely well looked after and very happy.

Canford Chase have provided an outstanding customer experience for my cousin who needed respite support following a hip replacement. From the outset the team were supportive, knowledgeable & accommodating, particularly when hospital discharge didn't go as smoothly as hoped. The onsite nursing care provided
peace of mind following a hospital acquired infection & the high quality facilities made the 4 week stay more like a 4 star hotel than a care facility.
Cleanliness is first class, food & drink is fantastic quality & the care & support is delivered with good grace & humour. The facilities include restaurant, on site hairdressing, weekly outings & a coffee bar. Flexibility meant friends & family could visit easily & without restrictions, & the 4 for 3 offer made the necessary rehabilitation stay good value for money. Special thanks to Jess on reception, Meryl in restaurant, Maxie in office & congratulations to Manager Charlotte on a superb facility.

Overall, I am delighted with Canford Chase. On entry, one gets a sense of calm, yet some activitity always seems to be going on in the lounge and that's good. I must admit, it is rather nice to always be addressed by name. The staff do appear to have had a huge beneficial effect on my wife's wellbeing
and for that I thank them wholeheartedly.

Canford Chase is, without doubt, a wonderful environment where residents are enjoying care of a very high standard. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the nursing care, if required, is excellent.
The home's decor and furnishings create a calm and welcoming ambiance that is more like a hotel
than a care home. My relative is resident here and is very happy with the care she is receiving from her nurses and carers.
Truly a first class delivery of great care. Thoroughly recommended.

My mother moved into Canford Chase in November 2025. This was a massive upheaval for her after 50 years in her own home. The staff were amazing they were welcoming and quickly allayed any worries she had. They go to know her needs and were reassuring on every level nothing was too much trouble whether
it was care staff management domestic or kitchen staff. In fact the home feels like one big happy family each time I come to the home they are so welcoming and it is reassuring to know my mum is being looked after so well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who needs support.

I chose to come here following discharge from hospital, having been admitted after a fall and a complicated fracture of femur repair. I have been a regular visitor to various residents here for the past ten years. I am a key pastoral assistant at a church. I know the staff, care, support, safety, and

My husband came into Canford Chase initially for respite. However, he is now a full time resident as he suffers from advanced parkinsons. Sadly, I was no longer able to look after him at home. It took a while for him to settle in, which is to be expected. I find the staff pleasant and helpful.

From the moment my brother in law arrived, we knew that he was being looked after extremely well. He was in a very poor state physically, having come straight from the hospital, but in a short time he was a new man. Until his arrival at Canford Chase, he had been depressed and given up on eating. By
the time he left, thanks to the care of every member of staff, he had improved in every way. We thoroughly recommend the home and thank everyone for their genuine care and patience.

My husband with advanced Parkinson's moved to Canford Chas in June 2024 from a different care home. It was the best decision. There is no comparison in the care quality, in the surrounding, the atmosphere of a home, feeling welcomes, the choice of activities all well planned. The staff is superb, all
there to help. The fees are very similar to other self-funded establishments. An excellent company, well managed right from the top.

My father has been a resident of Canford Chase for circa eight months. During that time I have visited him most days and witnessed first hand the treatment he has received. Whilst not medically trained, I have run businesses and employed hundreds of people, so hopefully I can judge staff and I have

When my elderly parents-in-law reached a crisis point, in poor health and unable to manage at home, we found immediate support and exceptional care at Canford Chase - with an emergency out-of-hours evaluation and admission.
The compassionate team provided outstanding care, comfort and dignity, ensuring
peace of mind during a difficult time. I can't express enough the relief of handing over to professionals. The level of attention, communication, and quality of food and facilities were truly five-star. Their dedication made an immeasurable difference, allowing us to focus on spending precious time together without the burden of care. The team have gone over and above with their genuine interest, care and compassion for all of our family, especially in end-of-life care. We will forever be grateful. Deepest gratitude goes to the manager and her team for their unwavering commitment. We feel so lucky to have experienced this.

My mother stayed at Canford Chase for two weeks respite care and to consider her options now that she needs help with daily tasks.
The facilities are first class, the staff are wonderful and the food is excellent.
She was looked after very well and enjoyed having people around her.
She is looking
forward to another 'holiday' and I am happy that she is happy and well cared for when she is there.

Canford Chase is a wonderful home where everyone took the time to get to know my mother and help her settle in. I enjoyed visiting as I felt welcome anytime of day and the garden was such a lovely place to be able to spend time with her. Mum enjoyed having company around her and the food was always
good quality and varied, while her room was was kept spotless as were her clothes. Everyone who helped looked after mum was kind and compassionate and she particularly enjoyed the range of activities each day, especially the trips out. I am so grateful to everyone at Canford Chase that mum was able to enjoy her last couple of years in such an exceptional home.

My Mother has been at Canford Chase for a year and a half, and this review is long overdue. I have had experience with two other outstanding care homes for relatives, but this one truly feels more like a homely hotel than a care home. The rooms and communal areas are cosy and do not have an institutional
feel. The garden is spectacular and offers frequent outings and daily activities. All staff are friendly, and kind and treat and know the residents as individuals. Their interaction is a pleasure to witness. Canford Chase has even more of a family feel since the change of manager at the end of last year, so that was the icing on the cake. I'm hugely grateful that my Mum is being so well cared for.
