It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do to place my dad who has Alzheimers in respite care. The Hollies were amazing, the carers helped us and dad to make the whole thing a great experience. My dad was in respite for 5 weeks, he was very happy, very secure and continually stimulated.

As a relative, I was always made to feel welcome and assured of dad's wellbeing. I cannot recommend The Hollies and staff enough.

Mum stayed for a two week respite period. We were invited to a previsit where mum and I were treated very well. Mum stayed for the day and enjoyed a lunch. The staff are very friendly and efficient and caring. I would have no problems with recommending The Hollies very highly. Mum is looking forward to revisiting.

The Hollies is the best of the best in every way possible. My Mum had 6 months quality of life. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are professional in all what they do, within everyone's role. My Mum felt safe, was so happy and her room was lovely. The medical staff were knowledgeable and we are truly grateful for going beyond the call of duty. Thank you.

Both my husband and I have received great care from all the staff. The ambience of all the rooms is a great credit to the owners and staff. The entertainment is inspiring - helping to make "brains" work. We have taken part in an outing to the common which was interesting and stimulating and the ice creams were well received!!

My mum was only at The Hollies for 2 days but from the moment she arrived to the moment she left she was treated with kindness, understanding and nothing was too much trouble.
The surroundings are fantastic, the staff amazing and I just wish my mum hadn't been so ill and could have enjoyed all that The Hollies had to offer.
A wonderful home that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Thank you to everyone.

My mother became a resident at The Hollies nearly 11 years ago, shortly after they first opened. The care she received was faultless from the nurses to the kitchen staff. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and friendly on all floors. Her wish was to stay there until she passed away not to go to a hospital. Sadly she left us on the 27th Jan, the support to us at that point was excellent and much appreciated.

After much searching, The Hollies was the care home I chose originally for respite for my partner because I felt the staff (all levels) to be friendly and courteous to each other as well as the residents and the atmosphere was light and lively. My partner was treated with respect, his independence was honoured and I felt that the staff really wanted to get to know him and understood his ways. The manager and senior nurses were so helpful to me as he settled in. He had a lovely room with a view which he came to love and think of as his home at the end of a corridor so he could play his music loudly! Great food, great nurturing care and every detail thought of for the dementia floor. Bright colours, light, stimulation. I'm very grateful to The Hollies.

My 93-year-old father came to The Hollies for respite care in September 2018 after several months in hospital and re-ablement. He has now returned home. The Hollies took care of all his needs but much more than that. Staff took the trouble to find out what he would like to do and provided encouragement and companionship. They were not rushed and many of them had been with The Hollies for years. The management team always responded quickly to any query that I made. Meals were good in variety and choice. Accessible transport was made available to allow my father to visit friends at his sheltered accommodation. Upon returning home full-time, my father said that if he ever needed a high level of care, he would like it to be at The Hollies. I am certain that the individualised care and support from The Hollies was instrumental in his being able to return home. In short, I cannot fault their approach and would advise anyone considering a care home for a loved one to consider them.

Our dad came to the Hollies for end of life care, sadly he was only there for a few days and we all dearly wish we could have got him there sooner.
The moment he arrived and was welcomed so warmly, he visibly relaxed and seemed so much more peaceful.

We were all taken under their caring and sweet wing felt looked after and were deeply appreciative of their attitude and professionalism.

I cannot praise the staff enough. The care they gave to my Mum during her final 3 months of her life was absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, the compassion they showed shone through, and as a family, we took great comfort knowing that she was happy and so well looked after in the final months of her life. Throughout they made sure she always kept her dignity, and they also supported us, family. I/we would not hesitate to recommend The Hollies to anyone who was thinking of entrusting their loved ones to their care.

Caring, kind and thoughtful staff from the very first day.
There have been no doubts in my mind that my nan was cared for in this home in the best way she could have been.
Choosing a home was a very hard process and we looked at a lot before deciding on The Hollies.
The end of life care that was given was fantastic, all of the staff ensured somebody was with my nan until family could be.
I've always felt the staff look after visitors as well as residents.
