Very caring staff. There are always plenty of activities for residents to join in if they wish. The environment is friendly and everywhere seems fresh when you walk in with no smells. The food is mixed sometimes very good and other times poor but management seem to be addressing this.

Thank you for your words of encouragement, it is always encouraging to get feedback both positive and constructive. Our recent changes to our kitchen and our recent move to 'All Fresh' cooking has already started to have a positive impact with greater menu choice and control for our residents - it is good to learn that these changes are being recognised.

Following a diagnosis of terminal cancer, mum was admitted to The Hollies for palliative care.

Over the next 10 months her condition became extremely complex with the development of vascular dementia.

The team at The Holliies provided a faultless service, and in spite of the difficult challenges mum presented, were always one step ahead in finding a solution.

I work within the medical profession and am fully aware of how things should be done. The Hollies put all the theory into practice and far more.

If you are looking for a nursing home that provides all you could hope or wish for for your loved one, look no further.

In my opinion, you won't find better in the county.

My Mother stayed for 2 weeks respite last month.
She and I were extremely delighted with the service at The Hollies which was faultless. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The home is beautifully clean and well appointed. The activities on offer are amazing, including a trip for my mother on a canal boat!
I would strongly recommend The Hollies to anyone considering a care home, either short or long term.

A big thank you to the manager and all his team!

My father is very well cared for in The Hollies. We find the vast majority of staff very good, the home is very clean and food good. The activities people in particular are lovely and try very hard to make residents and guests welcome. I would highly recommend the home to others.

Stayed for two weeks respite with my husband whilst my daughter recovered form a foot operation. I would never have dreamt that I would ever stay in a nursing home, but I was totally surprised by how wonderful it was. The staff were wonderful so kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble. I had a lovely bath which I had not managed to do for a very long time. The facilities were amazing just like a hotel. We would certainly stay again, and are thinking about trying a care home, either short or long term. I would certainly recommend The Hollies.

My wife was semi paralysed and could not speak due to a stroke. When nurses and staff were attending to her they were caring, gentle and efficient. My wife was prone to pain and vomiting. On two occasions I found her covered in vomit and no one around to report this to. As a previous carer, I was able on the first occasion, to clean and change her nightdress. Second time I found help. I asked for a meeting of nurses and asked for 1/2 hour visits. Also when people passed the door to look and listen in. This was agreed and I was content.

Thank you for your review, I have passed your kind comments on to the team. It can take a few days to get to know new resident and establish the right person centred routine; this can be difficult where we have to rely on their primary carer to communicate at the early stages. However I am pleased...

My mother stayed at the Hollies for a 4 weeks stay following an operation.
She was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home, from arrival.
The accommodation was first class, excellently decorated, with all the modern amenities that a hotel would provide. The activities team were amazing, and put her immediately at ease.
Nothing was too much trouble. She went out on several trips in the mini-bus, which she loved. The activities team provided everything, even sun-cream and hats as it was hot one day. The food was delicious, nutritious, her meals were planned, and a personal visit by the chef, ensured that all her likes and dislikes were accommodated.

The care team were fantastic both day and night. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were always cheerful, caring and treated my mother like a member of the family. The owner, took the time and trouble to get to know my mother during her stay, which she was very impressed with. She would definitely return again, very highly recommended.

Suzanne TulletJob Title:Home Manager

Having previously led the team at Winchcombe Place, I’m excited and feel privileged to lead a new team and ensure that everyone’s supported, working together and managing a team I’m proud of.

I started my working career after studying a Pharmacology degree, which led me to work in a community pharmacy, and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK, I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.

Previously at Care UK, I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of home care to be a successful home manager. Within my role, I believe you need to be knowledgeable on a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable, efficient and understanding, which has helped me develop a successful team.

Outside of work, I love to dance and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.
