The Hollies Care Centre in Dursley is comprised of The Hollies nursing care home and Holly Oak dementia care home. Here the dedicated teams provide round the clock residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis, as well as compassionate end of life care.

The well-trained teams create a welcoming environment and deliver family-like care to all residents. The purpose-built home has 58 en-suite bedrooms. There are also two luxurious garden suites that offer even more space and privacy.

Each resident is assigned their own key caregiver who is personally responsible for ensuring that tailored care plans are met and maintained. The team aim to create a caring and supportive community for residents, families and friends.

The Hollies is a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising the best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

My wife was semi paralysed and could not speak due to a stroke. When nurses and staff were attending to her they were caring, gentle and efficient. My wife was prone to pain and vomiting. On two occasions I found her covered in vomit and no one around to report this to. As a previous carer, I was able
on the first occasion, to clean and change her nightdress. Second time I found help. I asked for a meeting of nurses and asked for 1/2 hour visits. Also when people passed the door to look and listen in. This was agreed and I was content.

My mother was in The Hollies for 8 and a half months, I could not fault the care she received. It is a wonderful home from home.

My mother stayed at the Hollies for a 4 weeks stay following an operation.
She was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home, from arrival.
The accommodation was first class, excellently decorated, with all the modern amenities that a hotel would provide. The activities team were amazing, and put
her immediately at ease.
Nothing was too much trouble. She went out on several trips in the mini-bus, which she loved. The activities team provided everything, even sun-cream and hats as it was hot one day. The food was delicious, nutritious, her meals were planned, and a personal visit by the chef, ensured that all her likes and dislikes were accommodated.
The care team were fantastic both day and night. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were always cheerful, caring and treated my mother like a member of the family. The owner, took the time and trouble to get to know my mother during her stay, which she was very impressed with. She would definitely return again, very highly recommended.

We are welcoming new residents with the reassurances of comprehensive measures to ensure the health and safety of all. Our in-house hygiene standard and infection prevention measures are rigorous.
