My mum moved to Millbrook Lodge from a care home that closed in Wiltshire. Even though mum was only there for approximately 5 weeks as she sadly passed away at the end of June, I couldn't have wished for a better place for mum to end her journey. Coopers view has the feeling of a small independent home. Staff are very caring and the standard of care is excellent. Any concerns are acted upon straight away. It is very clean, well organised and the food is nutritious and freshly cooked daily. Thank you to everyone you should be really proud of yourselves as it is not an easy job. Robin runs a tight ship right from front of house, behind the scenes and in the home. It was a pleasure to have met you all. Kind regards Lanie
Thank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are deeply sorry for the loss of your mum and are honoured that Millbrook Lodge was able to care for her during the final weeks of her life. It means so much to hear that you felt she was treated with kindness, compassion and...
If and when there are difficulties, once brought to the attention of staff and/or management they are dealt with.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear that Carole is well cared for and continues to remain well, eating and sleeping comfortably. This care home is very good. My aunt is in the dementia war. She is very well looked after, and the staff are very good, very caring and professional.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your aunt is being well cared for and that you've had such a positive experience with our dementia ward team. Our staff work hard to provide compassionate, professional care, and your feedback truly means a lot to them. We'll be...
Its ok - but... sometimes could be more attentive, possibly not enough staff working at busy times.
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that your overall experience at Millbrook Lodge was positive, though we're sorry to learn that at times our service may not have met your expectations. We take your comments seriously, particularly regarding attentiveness and staffing during busy...
Mum was taken to Millbrook Lodge (ML) after a short return to home following a hospital spell with very serious pneumonia approx 14 mths ago. It was no longer safe for her to be at home alone. It was an extremely tough family decision but was made easier by the management & staff. From the start mum was welcomed and enjoyed the banter & chat with all the staff. She's well cared for, fed, watered & most importantly is safe in her new environment. She's treated with care & respect. Still manages to enjoy some activities she did at home, has her hair done weekly, attends the social events as much or as little as she wants. Whilst her health has deteriorated(all related to age not care) we are grateful that mum is in ML & this gives all the family peace of mind. The whole situation has not been ideal & probably not how we envisaged the twilight years of her life would pan out but we are grateful for the kind, caring & safe environment in which mum now lives
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review of Millbrook Lodge. We understand how incredibly difficult the decision can be to move a loved one into care, and we're truly honoured that you entrusted us with your mum's support. It means a great deal to hear that our...

I could not ask for a better home for my mother, from the manager, deputy manager, reception, carers, nurses, domestics and caterers.

Mum was a resident at Millbrook Lodge for 5 years until she passed away on 15th August 2025. The care she received over that time was amazing and everyone always worked as a team. The passion for caring for the residents shone through in everything that the everyone did. The teamwork and dedication to enriching the lives of everyone at the home are truly inspiring, and also the personal support for us as a family was second to none. We are deeply grateful for the care, love and support you've shown our mum and to us too. Mum thrived and was always happy & content at Millbrook Lodge - thank you for being her second family.
Thank you so, so much for this absolutely lovely review. It's wonderful to hear about how happy you were with the care your mum received at Millbrook. We're so sorry for your loss - your mum was a wonderful person and it was a privilege to look after her. If there's ever anything more we can do to support you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Poor notification about meals if the resident doesnt go to dining room for breakfast.
Loss of clothes in laundry
Invisibility of management.
We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback. We will speak to the team about ensuring residents are always aware of meal options, wherever they are. Clothes do sometimes go missing due to incorrect labelling, which is we why operate a find or replace policy. We're sorry you felt you...
I find the home and staff very kind and helpful. Nothing is too much. You can have a laugh and joke with anyone and my hubby is very well cared for.

I would like to thank all the good people involved in my care, one of the staff and her ladies who have my daily care.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review, it's appreciated by everyone in the team. We're honoured to support you, and it's great to know that you're happy here. Please let us know if you ever need anything else.
Her care was good and all the staff was friendly and caring. Upon arriving everyone was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
I have no hesitation in saying that her final months were as comfortable as they could be and her care was very good.
Although self-funding, her room I felt was quite small, other rooms were bigger, but given that she was unable to move well, it was on reflection sufficient for her needs. If you are self-funding it is not cheap, but I felt that it was money well spent to care for someone as well as she was.
My thanks to everyone at Millbrook Lodge for everything they did for her. It was very much appreciated.
Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to write us a review - we do appreciate your feedback. We are all sorry for your loss, and it was a privilege to care for your stepmother at Millbrook Lodge. If there is ever anything more we can do to support your family, please just let us know.
Meals a good selection. Vegetables sometimes very watery.
Activities very good, sorry it isn't every day.
Being able to go out in the fresh air for 5 minutes would be lovely.
I feel very lucky to be here as it is more like a hotel than a "home." Thank you very much.
Many thanks for taking the time to share your views of Millbrook Lodge. We appreciate your feedback, and we're delighted to have you living with us. If we can do any more to support you, please just let us know.
I find it very comfortable here.

We were happy that Mum came to Millbrook Lodge so she was safe and cared for 24 hours a day. Although she didn't actively partake in activities it was often offered to her. All staff on the Leckhampton Unit were kind, caring and patient, even though she could be stubborn and difficult at times. The room was always clean and Mum was helped with hygiene regularly and kept comfortable.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, and for sharing your experiences of Millbrook Lodge. It was a privilege to care for your mum. If there is anything else we can do to support your family, please just let us know.
We are very pleased with the care that my brother is getting at Millbrook Lodge. His health was very poor when he moved in, but it has improved considerably. A lot to do with this is the care and attention that he has been receiving. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
Thank you for your recommendation and for taking the time to write us a review. We're delighted to see how well your brother is doing with us here at Millbrook Lodge! If there is anything more we do to support him or your family, please don't hesitate to let us know.
