I have enjoyed the activities that have been provided.
I have experienced a few homes but I have found Whittington House unique in this respect.
My father has been at Whittington House Nursing Home now for a year and in that time I have been impressed with the level of care that he has received. The carers are very attentive and genuine; always noticing small details and really getting to know the residents. The activities are varied and stimulating; residents and relatives all join in and enjoy themselves. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. All the staff seem to enjoy their jobs which make a huge difference. I can relax knowing that my father is receiving the best possible care.
I feel confident with my choice of care for my Husband. From initial contact, being able to choose his room, advice and guidance on financial side and being kept informed, to being welcomed when I visit. All staff are caring, kind and professional. Nothing seems too much trouble for them, they take time to get to know residents.
Activities are well thought out and delivered in excellent fashion, including external trips which are most appreciated. The management is very good hands-on and involved. A most welcoming care home.
This is a wonderful care home with delightful, kind, understanding and patient carers who verge on almost loving. I have no complaints whatsoever. Some residents with ongoing dementia really do test the carers' patience and yet they continue being ultra understanding and charming. I never cease being hugely impressed and we've told all our friends.
I just wanted to express how much my Husband and I appreciate all the activities arranged for residents and relatives at the home. When I have mentioned events, such as the special meals on 'International days', the quizzes and musical entertainment etc., our family and friends are so very impressed. Our Daughter and Son-in-law have experienced some of the activities as has my Sister. She cannot believe the variety of activities arranged.
My husband has been in your care since September 2017. As a family, we are very pleased that we have chosen Whittington House not only is it very attractive and clean but most importantly the care is wonderful. The food also looks good and bow my husband is on soft foods it is presented very nicely. I visit most days so I have got to know everyone and relatives of other residents we share a common interest so it is a pleasure to visit and not a chore.
My mother has been in Whittington House for the last seven months. From the moment we walked in the front door we were greeted with friendly faces and a warm, welcoming attitude and this has never been any different. Everyone who works there is so kind and caring, myself and my family cannot praise them enough. All the staff do everything they can and go out of their way to make my mother comfortable and happy it is a very special home.
The management is approachable, friendly and kind. The activities ladies are amazing and work so hard to involve everyone. The carers go above and beyond and the catering gentleman and his team supply lovely food served always with a smile nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff at Whittington House. Thank you
As a registered nurse of 38 years I am very pleased with the care, compassion and dignity that my grandmother is receiving from carers and nurses at Whittington House.
Everyone and I mean every one of the staff are so cheerful, welcoming and caring, it is a real pleasure to visit our loved ones in such pleasant surroundings.
Just would like to thank all the staff at Whittington House for the care and kindness they showed my Dad and towards his family during his short stay. The care Dad received was excellent and nothing was any trouble for the staff. Many thanks xx
My wife has been in four care homes prior to this and we both judge this one best in respect of care and appointment.
Lovely home, lovely food and great staff.
Very friendly, staff are nice. Food is nice. Relaxing. Enjoying time here.
Her room was clean and comfortable as were all parts of the home. An excellent facility.
Our daughter has been made to feel welcome and valued as a patient in Summerfield Nursing Unit. We as a family are very happy with the management and nursing care our daughter has received whilst a patient in Summerfield, with excellent nursing staff, comfortable room and enjoyable food.

I cannot speak highly enough of Whittington House. All staff are exceptional. The care is of a very high professional standard. Everyone from management down is so friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The home has such a relaxed atmosphere and residents have freedom of choice at all times. I feel so happy that my mother is in the care of this wonderful home.
