Over all time Braemar Lodge has 108 reviews.
To begin with didn't feel very well but as time went on the help from the physio and the carers and nursing staff helped my recovery. Found not to be able to have many visitors because of "shut down" I found the days long staying in my room.
Thank you for your review and likelihood to recommend the home. I am pleased to hear that the staff at Braemar Lodge were helpful and aided in your recovery. I understand that during your short stay with us we unfortunately had temporarily closed the home to visitors due to sickness as a...
Came for a respite week. Wonderfully caring, friendly and well-run home.
My aunt went into this home in April. Our family has nothing but praise for the manager and staff who have looked after her beautifully and gently since she arrived. Everyone is so caring and nothing is too much trouble. I can relax knowing she's in such good hands.
I have been very happy and well looked after at Braemar Lodge.
All members of staff are most helpful and cheerful. Everyone smiles and greets you if passing in the corridor or performing services. Everything done to help you feel "wanted" and at home. Makes it easy to adapt to a new kind of life.
Although mum's short-term memory is not good, she regularly mentions how lucky she is to be in such a lovely environment with wonderful gardens and staff.
Everyone (management and staff) has been very caring and informative. There is no doubt that my father has had a great level of personal attention and has been treated as an individual. The activities in Braemar Lodge are essential to the well-being of all residents and there are many programmes on offer.
Visiting hours any time of day is also very convenient and important. Visitors being included at meals is also a lovely concept as all of us can mingle together and meet.
Although I was only in for 2 weeks respite care, I was most impressed that this was a genuine "home", not an institution. From the start, I was always addressed by my Christian name. The staff were very attentive but not "smothering". All my reasonable requests were met immediately. All in all, a very good experience and should I need a home in the future, I would choose this one.
I needed short-term care while work was completed in my home and I was very reluctant to have residential care. From the outset, senior staff recognised my feelings and addressed my concerns. They were friendly, kind and reassuring. This approach continued with excellent care and facilities once I arrived. I have been encouraged to view this as a holiday and to make the most of the facilities and services. The staff are extremely patient and I have found the whole experience like a 5 star hotel with care if needed.
This is my 2nd visit to a Colton Care home and I was not disappointed. The staff are all happy and smiling and do all they can to help you - nothing is too much trouble. The manager is excellent and knows all that is going on and makes you feel at home.
My stay at Braemar Lodge, although brief, was most enjoyable. The accommodation, food and staff were excellent and I was very pleased to have the company of all the friendly residents.
I have been visiting and taking people out from care homes a lot over the last few years. Braemar Lodge is by far the nicest, friendliest and most efficient of all. I hope you are proud of what you achieve and thank you for helping us achieve getting Dad home.
Staff were professional, clear, friendly and sensitive during the assessment period and throughout. The staff were attentive, kind and caring. The nurses were very clear and informative. Staff on client interact were knowledgeable and understanding. The quality of care is excellent. The atmosphere friendly,m calm and jolly as well as welcoming. The home cleanliness is of a very high standard and the meals exceptional. I cannot praise the staff team enough. Thank you.
I have been a resident of Braemar Lodge for the past year. All the staff here seem totally committed and happy in their work. I have had no previous connections with care homes but feel very comfortable here I would have no hesitation in suggesting it to friends. My two sons one a surgeon in Australia and the who has dealings with care homes are very happy for me to be here.
I visit a severely disabled friend at Braemar Lodge every 3-4 weeks - but have had no experience of the food etc, nor value for money. The place always appears to be well kept and the staff are always busy and friendly to visitors and residents alike. My friend is unable to stand or do anything for herself, and so frequently needs attention which, as far as I know, she always gets.
From the moment I entered Braemar Lodge I have experienced the fulfilment of the management promise to 'Cherish You'. My friends say that this is the best care home in Salisbury, and they are glad that I have been enabled to come and live here.
"Friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest". I am happy to endorse this, and also give thanks for the surroundings - a quiet interesting garden with plenty of seats, and an optional programme of activities in which one may join. The home is in a residential area, and there is reasonable public transport for both residents and visitors. There is qualified nursing care when needed.
My mother, who has early dementia is not always easy to care for or please! She is treated with patience and thoughtfulness and is full of praise for her carers. The staff are kind and caring. The home is excellently run and provides excellent services.
I am very satisfied with the standard of care. Staff are very pleased and willing to help us any way they can.
Help with hospital and doctor appointment is excellent and response to call for help is excellent.
This is my first experience of a care home either as a visitor or resident. Up to six months ago I was able to look after myself in my own home. However, owing to a deterioration in health and aged 92 years I found it impossible to carry on alone and I was lucky to get accepted firstly on respite care and now as a permanent resident at Braemar Lodge. To date, I have found this home very good, management and staff outstanding, I feel that this is truly a home and not an institution.
I have found the staff very helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble. They enjoy a leg pull and have some attitude and have some attitude themselves.
