At The Wingfield Care Home, 24-hour nursing and residential care is provided for older people in need of support, including those living with dementia.

The Wingfield Care Home, located close to the local community, is just a stone's throw away from the River Biss in the outskirts of the historic market town of Trowbridge.

The highly trained and qualified staff support all individuals with each and every element of their care plans to ensure all needs are met. The teams pride themselves in caring for their residents using individually tailored care plans, working closely with health care professionals.

Activities at The Wingfield are designed to enhance the wellbeing of residents and celebrate life. Offering interaction and stimulation through regular musical activity, yoga sessions, outings in the minibus, scrabble groups, art classes, flower arranging, external performers and themed days.

Very nice care home, staff are all friendly, managers and head of unit are all very approachable and nothing is too much for them to sort.
Clients all appear happy, all kept clean and well-dressed. Great range of food offered to clients for their meals. Visitors ar made to feel very welcome, love the

Barchester Wingfield Care Home is like a second home to our family since my mother was there for six years. Now my husband comes here for respite and gives me (wife/carer) a rest. Everyone is loving, caring, welcoming - many of the staff remember us from years ago. My husband settled in quickly and
was happy and well cared for. I can't praise the management and all the staff enough for being there when we were in need and making life easier for us. Many thanks - I'm sure we'll be back.

My father has been here now for a couple of months. The management has worked with us closely to now give him exceptional care. Nothing is too much trouble, and we can thoroughly recommend the home. The activities are well throughout, and the food is exceptional.

Disappointing that dietary requirements are often not followed. Staff not aware of individual plated meals. Registered nurse pushy and intimidating. Communications poor with families, with long delays to inform families. Requests for maintenance not passed on/carried out.

I am delighted that Mum has decided she would like to be a permanent resident, she is very happy and content. All her carers look after her in a dignified and caring way. She has enjoyed watching the ballroom dancers and some other activities. I have always been made to feel very welcome too.
P.S.
Mum is in quite a small room and is, hopefully, on the list to move to a larger room when one becomes available, please.

I've been a registered nurse since 2012, completing my nurse training in Kerala, India. I have extensive experience within the care home setting and strive to continually improve the quality of service we provide, with a particular focus on person-centred care.


I'm so proud to be the General Manager here and see Wingfield as being a home that can support every stage of later life and who are in the unique position of having two separate homes.
