My mother-in-law was always treated with the utmost respect during her time at Fitzwarren House. The staff were extremely professional and caring. My wife (as next of kin) was kept informed at all times of any issues affecting my mother-in-law. The home and gardens were beautifully looked after. My

When I visit mum I usually try and have a quick catch-up with the care staff in mum's unit before going to mum's room just to find out how mum has been since my last visit. This week I was extremely surprised to be told mum wasn't in her room but in the lounge; Mum hasn't been out of her room since
late last year; through her own choice she has remained in her room and more recently in bed due to her rapidly advancing dementia and balance issues. The staff have gone out of their way to find a means of getting mum from her room to the lounge. This week it was like seeing a new mum. Dementia is so cruel and while mum still doesn't know who I am and probably never will again, this small gesture by the staff made the best visit I have had with mum for such a long time. Mum was a lot more engaged with her surrounding, a change of scene has done her the world of good. I cannot thank the staff enough for all the care, love and time given to mum and me it makes such a difference.

We moved our mum to residential care at the end of May when care in the home became impossible as her dementia progressed. We have been delighted to see that she settled into Fitzwarren House immediately. The staff have all been so helpful, cheerful and friendly both during the transition and subsequently.
They clearly enjoy their job there and when we visit we can see they genuinely care about all the residents. We are very grateful to find a space for mum here.

The staff are amazing. They are all kind and considerate, treating the residents with dignity and respect in challenging situations. The home is clean and well looked after with space outside to walk and sit with your loved one.

My mother had only been in the care home for a few weeks before she passed away. I found the staff to be very caring, helpful and patient, and my mother was well supported. The staff have also been extremely kind and helpful to me following my mother's passing.

My sister was in Fitzwarren House care home for nearly three years. From the very first day, I found the staff very caring and welcoming. Whenever I paid a visit to my sister, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Her room was spotless and she was able to bring all the things she treasured with her.
As her health deteriorated, she received excellent medical care and I was kept informed regularly. A lovely home which I would recommend to anyone.

My entire experience of working with Fitzwarren House for the whole seventeen months mum was with you was excellent. We knew she was safe and well cared for. The staff provided mum with support and friendship at a time when she was unable to cope independently. Towards end of life, the staff gave me
the support and help needed to get through a difficult period.

We had a brilliant experience with Fitzwarren House. The staff were very professional and very caring, nothing was too much trouble. They keep mum entertained with various activities, including music with a one on one singer/guitarist.

Visited my mother on an inside visit, tested before entering and personal protective equipment put on well administered. Met Mum in a room where we spent a lovely 45 minutes together, I took a cake and iced coffee at Mums asking which she ate and drank as if we were out for coffee. We enjoyed looking
out into the garden, at end of the visit I gave Mum a hug and said I would see her again soon. Before I left I made an appointment to visit her again the following week, a very enjoyable visit.

It was difficult to honestly and accurately fill in the boxes below because of visiting restrictions but have found staff to be helpful. Because of mum's condition we are unable to ask her what she thinks and unfortunately she misses out on all the good activities provided.

When my brother came to the home in the first lockdown of Covid he was poorly, unresponsive and sad. With all the care and nursing that he has received he is so different. He now responds to everyone and is so happy every time I visit. The staff are lovely and caring. It is so reassuring for me to know
that he is so well looked after.

My grandfather was in desperate need of some respite/care due to my grandmother having passed away earlier in the year, which has resulted in him becoming mildly depressed and very lonely. At the age of 96, he was very reluctant but agreed to stay at Fitzwarren House for two weeks. All of the staff
went out of their way to make him feel "at home", and the difference we have seen in him is unbelievable. He loves the staff and residents so much; he has decided to stay!

My father (aged almost 93) has been a resident at Fitzwarren House since early October 2020. Previously my father-in-law had spent about six months as a resident before he sadly passed away in August 2016. I could not be happier or more impressed with everything at Fizwarren House, the level of care
and attention my dad receives is truly exceptional and it is good to see him in such good shape and very comfortable. In my opinion, Fitzwarren House is expertly run and superbly managed with all nursing and care staff very professional and providing such a high level of care, comfort and security. If it were possible to rate them 11 out of 10, I would be happy to do it!

All staff are extremely caring and helpful, excellent quality of care and very friendly and welcoming to my great gramp who, at ninety six was very stubborn to accept any form of help or care. Since losing my great nan in January, it’s become apparent to us that he is very lonely at home and although
convincing him to go in for respite was a challenge, when he agreed we felt relieved and it has proven the best thing for him. The nurses and chaplain have spent so much time with him to help him settle in and feel comfortable. My family and I are incredibly grateful that he is being looked after so well. Although we feel his memory is now starting to deteriorate, he is still particular about many things including food and lifestyle preferences but he has been listened to and his care is adapted to his specific needs. Many thanks to the whole team at Fitzwarren House.
