This is a lovely home to visit. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The Home Manager is always around and very approachable. The decoration of the home is beautiful. There is a varied activities programme.

Our friend has great difficulty in moving or communicating.
Visiting her, since she was moved to St Giles about six months ago, we see the staff looking after her in a respectful, good-humoured and kind manner. She is brought into the lounge regularly and proper records are kept of pressure relief.

St Giles is clean and welcoming and our impression is that our friend is well cared for.

What a lovely home. Staff are friendly and approachable and cared so much.
I spoke with the manager, who was caring and listened she was around the home which was reassuring and had a good rapport with her team. The deputy is a lovely person and knowledgeable.
The care received is excellent and this home needs to be recognised for the good things it does.

Well done to all at St Giles a credit to care homes.

St Giles is an upcoming and vibrant environment, with many plans ahead in improving the home for the sake of the residents. I am excited to see the future changes each time I visit the home. I am really enjoying seeing the Facebook page of all the new activities and day trips happening, it really helps to advertise the home showing these activities happening as I do not always get to visit the home on a certain date and time.

I have been assisting in care homes for at least five years now. In that time I have seen homes where there are many good aspects, but never one where everyone seems to be pulling together to achieve the best they can for their residents until I arrived at St Giles that is.
The management style allows everyone, including residents, to get involved in how the home functions, allowing residents to feel valued and staff to take ownership of everything they do.

Part of working in a care home inevitably brings you into contact with people in the final phase of their lives. I can honestly say the dignity and respect shown to residents and their families at this time, at St Giles, is the best I have seen.
