Heartlands Care & Nursing Home

Mom arrived at the care home on 17th December 2018. We viewed a number of other homes in the area but Heartlands offered the best facilities by far. Mom was welcomed by all of the staff who treated her with respect and dignity. This is a well designed, well managed and well-run facility. All of the staff are helpful and friendly and appear to have moms best interests in mind in all that they do. The food is ok. Mom will say that the tea time food is sometimes poor especially the sandwiches. I have taken control of the laundry for mom as a couple of her items went missing (despite having labels attached). It appears that the more delicate items are treated the same way as general items and as a result lost shape and minor damage occurred.

The care and attention my mom receives from this care home is 100%. I would recommend this home to everyone who needs care, from carers, to hospitality and all other staff who work in the home everyone is very helpful and answer any questions you ask. All I can say is a big thank you to all the staff and carers.

Staff are all very professional, friendly and helpful. Management are always open to suggestions. Food is a good variety.

My friend has been a resident for a while now and the difference in both her mental and physical health has been amazing, she is very happy to be there, saying that the staff make her feel wanted and loved.

My dad was diagnosed with widespread cancer and given 4-6 weeks to live. I stayed with him for 7 days and nights and I never went home, the staff looked after me and dad like we were family, they were fantastic. Dad died after 10 days. The home management were two lovely ladies and a lot of the staff came to dads funeral. I will never be able to thank them enough.

The care given to my mother has dramatically improved her mental health and I have no doubt that being at Heartlands has extended her life.

Staff are very caring and after only two weeks have built up a good relationship with mum. Mum enjoys the smart environment and the activities mum no longer calls me for help as the staff are able to meet her needs.

My mother is a resident of Heartlands Care Home. She seems to be quite settled and happy. We believe she gets adequate care and attention to her care and needs. The home is very well lead by management and the staff who are always pleasant and helpful when we visit. We get regular updates and reviews on my mothers care. I feel this reflects on staff and management working as a team.

Care home is run very well. My mother is well looked after. The staff are very nice and caring. Lots of activities for residents.

The recent move into the new building now provides a very clean and pleasant situation for both the residents and visitors. The facilities and conditions are excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Whilst the new building is outstanding, unfortunately, the same staff remain from the old building. Most of whom are just purely in place to earn a wage without any concern to residents' needs no matter how simple - seems to be too much hassle. My mother had 3 seperate incidents which could have been avoided by staff simply doing their job however I highly commend both care assistants who are outstanding staff. Thank you from my mom and family. You are amazing a true credit.

The new manager has made a positive difference to this nursing home. The new building is wonderful and the staff are caring and very helpful.

Dad is very well looked after he is always clean and well dressed. I think the staff are always welcoming and helpful, and always keep us informed over dads health.

The review I felt went very well, very informative and caring. Help would be on hand as and when needed. I thought the people giving the review were showing great interest and very obliging. I find the staff very caring and I feel I can go and ask if I need to know anything.

I was very happy to find this home for my mum. It is a very homely place. The staff made you feel very welcome. I was happy with the care my mother received there. All the people that were residents seemed happy to be there. At the end of her life, my Mum was treated with dignity and respect. There were also lots of activities for the people to do there.

The care given to my wife, who had a massive stroke and needs 24-hour care, has been very satisfactory.

I can honestly say that since the years my cousin has been here at this care home that I have no complaints to make about him or the staff he gets well looked after.
