This home was amazing for my mom and our family during her stay.It allowed us to spend some quality time with her in palliative care.
She loved everyone there and nothing was too much trouble for them. They Were always there for a comforting chat when we needed it and we knew when we had to come home mom would be well looked after .
One of the last things she said to me was if I had my time again I would come back here.
Thank you so much to you all for what u have done. You are all such special people .

The Orchards Care home have been extremely good in looking after out poorly mother over the last few months, the staff have done their best to ensure our mother was comfortable in her bed with no pain and assisting her with being fed and watered. Towards the end, the staff were visiting her and holding her hand until we appeared to be by her side, it was serene and so peaceful.

Where do I start x This home is amazing, everyone treats you as part of a big family.
The care and love, that they all show each resident is 12 out of 10.
The moment my Mom stepped through the door, they could not do enough for her, they made her room feel like home, made us feel welcome as her children.
The nursing care is second to none, they got the Dr straight away when required, helping us to make the right decisions for her care. The carers , treated Mom with respect and kindness, always using her name , and chatting with her, when she was anxious.
The place is very very clean , and well looked after.
You could always get hold of staff , to have a conversation, via the phone ,very important as I live so far away.
It is with great sadness that Mom did not have longer at this home, but the staff, showed great respect , dignity and love , to her and to our family.
They looked after me mentally and physically in my Mom's last days

Highly recommended.

All the staff, were absolutely brilliant with regards to looking after and caring for my mother, they really did everything to make sure she was comfortable in all her time spent here, nothing was too much trouble, they even looked after the visitors who came to see my mother. I could not of wished for a better Nursing home for my mother to stay and spend her last days, 11 out of 10, the staff gave 110% effort and care..

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the team for looking after mom, Stirling effort..

My Nan was in this care home for a small stay. The staff here treated her with dignity and respect, asking my Mom if they didn't know anything to make sure they gave Nan the best treatment. Nan was fed well, her clothes and bedding changed and looked after during her stay. I don't think we could have asked for a better place for Nan to spend her final weeks. They showed us so much compassion in her final days and I could not thank them enough for this care.

My Mother has been here for a few weeks now and I am very pleased with The Orchards Care Home and the support/care she is currently receiving. I had no prior experience of care homes before this, so I was unsure if I was making the right decision based upon hospital consultants advice. This care home is clean, tidy and the staff are very friendly, supportive, caring and responsive. I am very confident that my Mother is getting the care she needs.

It appears this carehome is overstretched. Not enough staff to handle residents. Not enough equipment to handle residents. Equipment which should be kept in a safe place lying anywhere. Residents being left alone in places where carers should be looking after them, not visitors who are not related. Equipment just lying around in rooms for weeks awaiting repair. I could go on.

Sadly mom passed away at The Orchards after 6 weeks with vascular dementia..But couldn't of asked for better care for our mom after having Dementia for 5yrs which as a family we cared for her, but after a fall which led to nursing care we reluctantly had to put her in a home...But they looked after our mom as good as we did we felt totally confident mom was in good care. The carers, nurses treat their patients with such care and consideration. Even entertainment coordination, manager, maintenance man also staff in office was always happy to help nothing was too much trouble for anyone. This is certainly a care home that is very well run and respects their patients they care for to a very high standard...The team all work together, well done to you all.

I feel that my mother is being very well looked after. The staff in particular have made Mom feel safe, secure and comfortable. From my observation I can see that it's not just my mom that is made to feel special, but all the residents. I am thrilled that Mum is here at The Orchards. It makes me feel totally reassured that she is in safe hands.

I feel that my Mothers's care is very high. Obviously, my Mother would prefer to be at her own home but due to her health, she cannot live there, so to make a statement that my Mum's care is the best it can be at 'The Orchards' is a true statement! Nothing is too much trouble when I have asked for it. I know my Mother is in good hands there.
