We are sorry that you have experienced occasions whereupon food debris has been evident on Mum’s clothing, clothes protector and tray. Maintaining the dignity of our residents is of uttermost importance to us therefore we have discussed this concern with our care staff team to ensure this does not happen again. What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?
“For me, kind care is going above and beyond for all Residents and listening to their individual needs.”
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Simon has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents
Having joined The Orchards as Home Manager, Simon closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
He also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby nurseries, schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at The Orchards.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Simon remarked:
“It means the world to me to see a smile on a Resident’s face, making them happy and helping to enhance their lives is the best feeling.”
Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family, especially as he has seven siblings and 18 nieces and nephews. He also enjoys travelling abroad regularly and seeing new places.
