I am very happy with Mom's overall care. I have to say all care is good, but there are different levels depending on which carers are on.

There is always plenty going on, on the activities side of things, the activities coordinator I find is excellent.

My wife has been in The Orchards for nearly a year. She has been treated with dignity and kindness. The staff work hard to maintain a good standard of care, compassion and cleanliness. The meals are excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who finds themselves in the position of needing care.

The home is always clean and tidy, staff are always engaging and pleasant. My wife is very comfortable and has been here for nearly 18 months. If I have any concerns the staff always listen and go out of their way to make sure my concerns are dealt with.

It was awkward for my partner as she had already been in two other care homes and it took a while to settle in but I now think that has been accomplished. Overall the home suits her needs. I believe she is liked by the staff and she certainly likes them. Although she is unable to communicate I believe the staff understand her needs. She does like activities but is usually unable to take part owing to her condition.

Always a pleasure to visit my mum, very caring and friendly staff and the management team are very approachable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have lots of different events for the residents and families to enjoy and socialise. They are respectful at all times, nothing is too much trouble for them. The home manager should be very proud that he has such a wonderful, caring and professional team. Thank you for everything you do.

The Orchards Care Home is such a nice place to be in - with caring staff. They notice when you are feeling down and spend time to cheer you up. The whole team are so courteous and professional with all residents with all residents. The activities are a time for us all to socialise, have a good laugh, and swap stories about our childhood and growing up. Sadly I have to leave here soon which doesn't make me feel good.

Although my mom has only been at The Orchards for a short amount of time the kindness and compassion that every member of staff has shown my mom and us as a family is truly overwhelming. Thank you so much.

I can 100% say that all the staff are fantastic, my mom has been a resident since May this year. She was difficult to start with but the staff have found a way to communicate with Mom in a calm reassuring way. Today I went to visit and sadly Mom was having one of her vasovagal episodes, the alarm was immediately raised and all staff came in to sort Mom out and bring her back around. They were all fantastic. I can relax knowing Mom is so well cared for. Thank you to all the nursing staff today.

All staff have been very kind and caring, both to Mom and myself. She is very hard of hearing and unfortunately, one of her hearing aids has been lost and her sight is very poor.

Whilst visiting a friend yesterday, the emergency alarm went off and the staff were very professional in dealing with it and maintaining residents' privacy and dignity as I passed their room. Staff also have treated my friend with the utmost respect and dignity.

I can highly recommend The Orchards. The staff are first class and the care is excellent. I have had experience of other care homes over the last five years with other family members and this rates very high, even compared to more expensive places.

When visiting the home, I feel a nice sense of warmth and calmness. The environment is bright and welcoming. The staff are polite, helpful and hard-working, they seem happy in the workplace, they care and go above and beyond to help. The management is approachable and friendly and I can speak to them about any problems that may occur and feel satisfied with the solution. My sister is treated with dignity and respect which makes us as a family very happy. I very much feel part of The Orchards family.

My Grandmother was referred here to receive end-of-life care instead of spending her final days in the hospital, and the care home was amazing, they treated her with care and respect at all times and were always there to help us during the difficult time. The care home is clean, safe and generally beautiful, the staff were excellent and made a difficult situation easier. Thank you for looking after our relative during her final days and ensuring she died with dignity and in no pain

From the minute Mum arrived with you she was respected, listened to, and certainly well cared for. The detail you required before she came, and on checking in, showed how keen you were to meet Mum's every need. The staff were always professional, respectful and listened carefully to Mum, making sure she always felt in control. All the staff got to know Mum very quickly, making time to talk to her and listen carefully to her likes and dislikes. We were all very impressed by the relationships staff quickly developed with Mum, and having got to know her ensured her care was personalised to her needs. As a family, we felt very welcome and included. Staff were always friendly and approachable, and everyone, including cleaners, the laundry and kitchen staff knew Mum, and always had a cheery welcome for us. Knowing Mum was being well cared for, in a safe environment these last few months was a reassuring gift. We can’t thank you enough for all you did for Mum.

Beautiful care home with welcoming and compassionate staff. The room in which my grandfather was staying in for the duration of his visit had excellent facilities and made him feel comfortable throughout. I was also offered full use of the in-home salon so that I could cut my grandfather's hair. It was also nice to be able to sit in the gardens whilst visiting, during which time we were offered hot drinks by the staff. The finish of the home is of a high quality with fascinating historical photographs throughout. A final thank you to the staff for all that they did.
