Home is very welcoming, staff are helpfull and always have time to explain things also the care of the clients are formost for all home very tidy and clean. You can have a laugh and joke with the girls and lads. Food is very good and good choice available.
The Orchards Care home have been extremely good in looking after out poorly mother over the last few months, the staff have done their best to ensure our mother was comfortable in her bed with no pain and assisting her with being fed and watered. Towards the end, the staff were visiting her and holding her hand until we appeared to be by her side, it was serene and so peaceful.
The care and love, that they all show each resident is 12 out of 10.
The moment my Mom stepped through the door, they could not do enough for her, they made her room feel like home, made us feel welcome as her children.
The nursing care is second to none, they got the Dr straight away when required, helping us to make the right decisions for her care. The carers , treated Mom with respect and kindness, always using her name , and chatting with her, when she was anxious.
The place is very very clean , and well looked after.
You could always get hold of staff , to have a conversation, via the phone ,very important as I live so far away.
It is with great sadness that Mom did not have longer at this home, but the staff, showed great respect , dignity and love , to her and to our family.
They looked after me mentally and physically in my Mom's last days
Highly recommended.
you took care of my husband for only a few weeks but they were the best few weeks he loved all who took care of him the staff are so friendly and 100% committed to who they are caring for it felt at times that they were caring for me too i would definitely recommend this care home excellent!! excellent!! excellent !!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the team for looking after mom, Stirling effort..
My Nan was in this care home for a small stay. The staff here treated her with dignity and respect, asking my Mom if they didn't know anything to make sure they gave Nan the best treatment. Nan was fed well, her clothes and bedding changed and looked after during her stay. I don't think we could have asked for a better place for Nan to spend her final weeks. They showed us so much compassion in her final days and I could not thank them enough for this care.
All the staff show care and compassion to my dad. Nothing is too much trouble. Any questions or concerns are answered quickly. Would recommend to other family members.
My Nan has been in the home for sometime now. She loves her room and really enjoys her meals. The activity team is fantastic and the care team are always so kind. The home is always spotless and smells clean. Office staff and management are always approachable. I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for somewhere.
My Mother has been here for a few weeks now and I am very pleased with The Orchards Care Home and the support/care she is currently receiving. I had no prior experience of care homes before this, so I was unsure if I was making the right decision based upon hospital consultants advice. This care home is clean, tidy and the staff are very friendly, supportive, caring and responsive. I am very confident that my Mother is getting the care she needs.
It appears this carehome is overstretched. Not enough staff to handle residents. Not enough equipment to handle residents. Equipment which should be kept in a safe place lying anywhere. Residents being left alone in places where carers should be looking after them, not visitors who are not related. Equipment just lying around in rooms for weeks awaiting repair. I could go on.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. We are sorry to hear that your experience at The Orchards did not meet expectations. Upon receipt of your concerns, we have taken action to ensure that equipment is stored safely, and repairs are...
Mom has been in this home only since May 24, and in this short time Mom has settled in very well. All the staff take very good care of Mom and any concerns are dealt with by the nurses straightaway. The activities staff are constantly keeping the residents happy and nothing is too much trouble. The management team is always approachable.
Always feel welcomed at the home, staff are always pleasant and pleased to see us. My sister is very well looked after. Activities team are second to none, fantastic! Very happy.
Sadly mom passed away at The Orchards after 6 weeks with vascular dementia..But couldn't of asked for better care for our mom after having Dementia for 5yrs which as a family we cared for her, but after a fall which led to nursing care we reluctantly had to put her in a home...But they looked after our mom as good as we did we felt totally confident mom was in good care. The carers, nurses treat their patients with such care and consideration. Even entertainment coordination, manager, maintenance man also staff in office was always happy to help nothing was too much trouble for anyone. This is certainly a care home that is very well run and respects their patients they care for to a very high standard...The team all work together, well done to you all.
I feel that my mother is being very well looked after. The staff in particular have made Mom feel safe, secure and comfortable. From my observation I can see that it's not just my mom that is made to feel special, but all the residents. I am thrilled that Mum is here at The Orchards. It makes me feel totally reassured that she is in safe hands.
Thank you to all who make The Orchards the best.
I feel that my Mothers's care is very high. Obviously, my Mother would prefer to be at her own home but due to her health, she cannot live there, so to make a statement that my Mum's care is the best it can be at 'The Orchards' is a true statement! Nothing is too much trouble when I have asked for it. I know my Mother is in good hands there.
Since my nan has been at home, we have had an experience. All of the staff are extremely polite and friendly. They take very good care of my nan and ensure she is always happy. They always go above and beyond for her, especially the entertainment team. She feels safe in their care and enjoys it when they are on the premises.
The activities girls work tirelessly and with such enthusiasm and energy to make the residents happy with events, open days, musical entertainment, quizzes, bingp - the list is endless. Their commitment and professionalism is to be admired. They make The Orchards a happy place for everyone to live in.
As a family, we are happy with the care and treatment. The care, compassion and connection with staff and residents have been outstanding and has contributed in a positive way to his mental health and motivation. Entertainment activities are a really valuable asset to his time and socialisation whilst here.
