Overall Experience

Excellent care and support provided for my Auntie. Carers excellent in care and support, and carers excellent in good manners and friendliness. Room was adequate, but warm and clean. Medical care is good and I was regularly informed on the state of health of my Auntie. The manager is very friendly and always approachable. The food was good but not very luxurious. I would recommend Priestley Rose to anybody.

Overall Experience
My mum was admitted to Priestley Rose Nursing Home from residential care in September 2014; the care that she received over the following 18 months was the best we could have wished for. She never suffered from pressure sores which had been a problem prior to the move, she always smelled fresh and clean and was treated with dignity and compassion at all times. The care that every member of staff gave to her was very humbling.
The record keeping was always up to date; we were always able to see what she had eaten and drank and how she had slept without having to bother the nurses.
The last week of Mum’s life was a very difficult time but it was made so much more bearable by the thought and compassion showed by the staff. We would highly recommend Priestley Rose to any family looking for high quality, friendly, dignified care for a loved one.

We could single out staff to say thank you but there are far too many; such kind, devoted members of the whole team no matter what their role.

Anitha MathewJob Title:Registered Manager

With a Master's in Nursing, I lectured at various Nursing colleges in India and Saudi Arabia, before moving to the UK in 2007, and taking up Registered Nurse and Deputy Manager positions.

I became a manager at Priestley Rose in 2013 and have subsequently gained Level 5 in Leadership and Management, equipping me to lead a dedicated team that provides high-quality care to residents with respect and dignity.

I strive to continually improve the services that we as a team provide to our care home residents, creating an ideal environment for the staff and visitors who are part of the ‘family’ too.

My own lovely family includes my husband and my daughter, who is a great support for me. Gardening and listening to music are my main hobbies. I also spend my leisure time in prayer, which gives me peace and strength
