Since visiting my grandma for the first time at Abbey Park, I was amazed by the excellent staff and facilities. It's unlike any other care home and is the best. I am impressed by the fantastic communication skills, whether that be watching a video of grandma singing on Facebook or receiving a letter of the latest updates. Thank you for always keeping our loved ones safe.

We chose this home for my dad as when we looked around it, the feeling was warm and the staff were lovely. We were not disappointed. My dad passed away in March and the last 10 months he was with Abbey Park were the nicest since his dementia was diagnosed. We genuinely felt like he was in a home from home. The staff not only looked after my dad but they got to know the family too and my mum always enjoyed visiting, being able to make a cup of tea and never felt that anything was too much trouble from providing updates or inviting her to join in the activities too. I know mum misses the staff at Abbey Park as I do too. They made my dad's dementia bearable and treated my dad in a kind, loving and respectable way. Well done Abbey Park I would recommend you to anyone.

I have been overwhelmed by the care and compassion shown during the Covid outbreak. My mother was critically ill and we thought we were about to lose her. We asked for her to be moved back home to Abbey Park to be with familiar staff when we could not be with her. They did not hesitate and made all the arrangements quickly. They have been exceptional in supporting her recovery and giving us honest information about how she was. It was such a pleasant surprise to see her in the garden singing and enjoying the outdoors in the video. Well done Abbey Park and well done Mum. We are eternally grateful.

All the staff at Abbey Park that I have seen or been in contact with on my visits have always left me feeling as if my dad is being left with family members. They tell we what he has been up to, what he's eating and drinking, and how his behaviour has been. They are also keeping us up to date on his health and how he feels about being in Abbey Park. The videos on Facebook are brilliant. I can see the changes in him since lock down and there has been a great improvement in him.

My mum is a resident at Abbey Park and I can't say how grateful our family are for the fantastic care and love that has been shown to her and our family. They really go out of their way to keep residents safe and happy and entertained. Also they keep family updated on our loved ones. 100% recommend. They are true angels.

My husband has been a resident since Oct 2019. The standard of care he is receiving is high. The staff are trained to a high standard and this is evident in their interactions with the residents, some of whom display challenging behaviour. I am always welcomed with a smile and relatives needs are also taken into account and help offered with emotional issues during difficult times. Abbey Park is a homely care home, home from home where my husband is happy and safe.

When mum's needs increased, we had to move her from a residential care home where she was settled and happy, to nursing home care. This was stressful for all of us, but we needn't have worried. From the start, mum has received exceptional care at Abbey Park and has been treated with the utmost dignity and respect. All the carers and nurses are unfailingly patient, kind and helpful to mum, and allow her to make her own choices about what she does day by day so far as she is able. As a regular visitor, I am always greeted by name on the unit, and I feel that I too am well cared for by the staff. It is a massive relief for us to know that mum is receiving such excellent care.

As a family, we had always said that our mum, who suffered from dementia, would never go into a care home and cared for her ourselves for a number of years following her diagnosis. However, following an operation, this was no longer possible. Whilst this was devasting for us we felt fortunate to have found Abbey Park. Mum was only there for a month before she passed away, but in that time the care she was shown was exceptional. All of the staff treated Mum with the utmost kindness and compassion and went above and beyond what we could have expected, such as ensuring that her favourite music was always playing. We were able to stay with her constantly during her final days, which the staff ensured were peaceful and dignified, and for that, we will be eternally grateful. As a family, we were shown the same level of kindness and respect at the most difficult of times. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abbey Park to anyone.

The staff at Abbey Park are fantastic, caring and considerate. My mum's care is exceptional and they care about the family's needs too. Our Dad spent almost a year at Abbey Park. We could not have wished for better care and attention for him. We cannot thank the staff enough, in all departments, for the compassion, love and attention our Dad received, which was second to none. He was always treated with respect. Sadly he has now passed away and through this difficult time, we felt supported by all the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend Abbey Park.
