Management and staff were always willing to listen to our concerns and act upon them. Accommodation allowed our mother to be as independent as she was able - doing her own breakfast/drinks/medication. The sitting room with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom made it less like giving up her own home than
a care home bedroom only. Care at the end of my mother's life was excellent.

Outstanding service provided to my mum and our family. The care received was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The room was always clean and comfortable and my mother was very happy here, she was treated with dignity and respect. My family and I were kept up to date on her care and this
was very much appreciated, no question was too small or silly and the management and staff always had the time to talk to our family. Abbey Park was always clean when we visited and staff were on hand to clean up any spills my mother had in a timely manner. What stood out most for our family was the sympathy, care and support they provided through a difficult time to both my mother and our family. Even though the home is a busy one the staff and management took the time to talk to us and check we were OK, I'm sure this is above and beyond their job roles. The staff at this home made a difficult time more bearable and for that, we will forever be grateful.

I visit my uncle at least twice a week at Abbey Park, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. My uncle is very well cared for and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The gardens are lovely and the food always looks delicious and I am truly grateful to the amazing staff. Thank you all.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Abbey Park for over 8 years. She has always been cared for very well, she is always clean and tidy and the nurses, carers and other staff all take time to take all her needs into consideration. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday and everyone went to a
great deal of trouble to help her and her visitors enjoy the day. The kitchen produced a lovely buffet and cake and it was good to see her able to interact and obviously enjoy the attention.

I could not recommend Abbey Park anymore. The care my grandfather received was more than myself and my family could have wished for. He was treated with such a high standard of care and dignity throughout his whole stay.

Having never wanted to be in a position where we were no longer able to care for Mum it unfortunately became a reality last year due to an accident and during this time she had been in hospital and a nursing home both of which were not the right environment for her as she is fiercely independent so
when we searched for what we thought did not exist which is a good home with a fair degree of independence we were ecstatic to find Abbey.
During the time Mum has been at the assisted living self-contained flat everything we were promised during the assessment has come to fruition and despite running a very big home with many residents and members of staff, the home Manager always makes time to speak to you and seems to remember who your relative is which is quite an achievement in itself.
Mum seems as happy as she can be as she will always want to be back home but sometimes these things are not possible so this is definitely the next best thing for an independent minded person.

Mum received exceptional care at The Meadows in Abbey Park Nursing Home. The warmth and respect shown by all staff carers, kitchen team, laundry staff, housekeeper and maintenance to the residents and their families are heartwarming. Staff on the Avon unit at Abbey Park Nursing Home look after my Mum very well. She is totally dependant on them for everything. Since being on Avon unit my Mum has gained a little weight as she is being well looked after and fed nourishing meals. The staff on Avon unit have welcomed me and my family
and are always ready to listen to any concerns we may have about Mum. The staff have taken the time to understand my Mum as she cannot communicate verbally, they recognise if Mum is agitated or content. Having my Mum in a nursing home is devastating for me but I am happy that she is in Abbey Park and wouldn't want her to move anywhere else.

My mother suffered from dementia and severe arthritis amongst other things. This made her confused at best on occasions and unable to get about without assistance. She transferred into Abbey Park Nursing Home in November 2016 and was there until her passing in January 2017. During this time, she was
treated with respect, care and understanding by all of the carers that I came into contact with (I was there nearly every day). When she stopped eating, either forgetting to or refusing to, she was treated with dignity and care in her final days. I shall be forever grateful for this.

I can not thank the care staff at Abbey Park Nursing Home especially on Avon. The care, love and support my mother was shown was outstanding. My mother died on the 15th February 2017 with her family around her. I could not of coped without the support I was given then and even now. The staff on Avon

Myself and my family recently lost my nan on the 15th of February 2017. I can not thank the girls and the nurses who loved, cared and supported my nan enough during her time in Avon at Abbey Park. They gave my nan the best care and right up to her last breath they maintained her well-being and dignity.
They also supported us as a family during this very hard time and continue to do so. These ladies are amazing and I take my hat off to them for the great work they do in caring for our very special loved ones especially my nan.
You lot are our sunshine!

I managed to secure a place at The Meadows, Abbey Park at the end of 2015, for my father. Dad had many health problems and he had been struggling for some time with his conditions and mobility. He moved from an assisted living flat and became a resident of Abbey Park. I was thrilled with all the staff,
his great room, the overall cleanliness, tasty food and whole ambience at 'The Meadows'. It always felt welcoming and calming on entering the building and all the staff were friendly, compassionate and very patient. Dad wasn't always an easy person, as the Alzheimer's had brought with it depression and OCD, but he did show his softer, friendlier side to staff, too. I never felt worried about leaving dad there as I knew that he was going to be looked after. When dad passed away, the staff were supportive and compassionate and I thank them all for making dad's final days as comfortable as possible. Bless you, all!

My husband lived at Abbey Park, after a stroke he was here for nearly 12 years. When I became ill myself I refused any other care home offer, the only place I would accept was Abbey Park. I am so lucky to live here.

My husband has been here nearly five years. My husband is treated with dignity and care. He is tended by the carers several times a day and is always well kept (even if he won't allow them to shave him) His room and facilities are always clean. Nurses and carers are friendly and also care about us as
a family. I also find other members of staff from housekeeping/kitchen etc are extremely friendly and helpful. I can go home and not worry about him.

We moved mum from another care home as we were disappointed in the care. The whole family are really pleased with Abbey Park. The staff are lovely and very approachable and caring. The food is excellent.

My mother was only in Abbey Park Nursing Home for a very short period of time but during that time, the care was excellent. My mother received palliative care and passed away at the home. During that time she was treated with respect and dignity. As a family, we felt we were very well supported and
constantly updated with her treatment and progression towards the end of her life. We were supported afterwards and the staff were very helpful with questions we asked them.

My mother needed to be moved into nursing care immediately upon the sudden death of my father, and we were very lucky to find a room available here. My mother was moved in quickly and easily (although the lift is not big enough to accommodate a stretcher - therefore a ground floor room had to be allocated).
This was a traumatic time for all of us, especially my mother, who was distressed and disorientated. However, the staff were kind and patient, and always on hand. I especially commend the Chaplain, who took an invaluable personal interest in my mother's welfare - we don't live locally, so it was a comfort to know that my mother was being so well cared for. My mother was bed-ridden and immobile, which restricted the benefit she could have got from her short residency before her death - there is a spacious lounge and a lovely enclosed garden with chickens! Having to move into nursing care is never easy, but in Abbey Park Nursing Home, I feel we had found the very best available in Coventry.

From the minute Mum arrived at Abbey Park Nursing Home, nothing was too much trouble for any of the Staff. Everyone cared, had compassion and importantly humour. We appreciated the Staff always knocking on Mum's door, a small gesture but showing respect.
We as a family always felt comfortable there,
and always felt like we could talk to the staff if we were concerned about anything. We cannot praise Abbey Park Nursing Home highly enough.

The care and attention given to my husband in the last 4 and a half years has been superb from all levels. Management, care-staff, kitchen and housekeeping all deserve a medal. We are also looked after as a family .
