I am always extremely impressed by the care my mother receives from the carers and nurses. She is treated with care and dignity even though very difficult for her to join in activities she is always included in events such as tribute artists which are her favourite and such a good idea. Her personal care is second to none, she always looks good and feels safe. Overall excellent.

My aunt passed away this morning in the care of the staff at this nursing home. The care she has received has far surpassed that which we had hoped for. She was treated with care, compassion and dignity during the short time she spent there, following a long stay in the hospital. We are so grateful that this was the place we chose for her for her final days.

We were provided with endless cups of tea, somebody to listen to us and support us throughout this sad time.

The staff at Abbey Park are the most caring people I have ever met. All staff from management to maintenance seem to know my mother by name and never pass here by without speaking. The care that she gets is second to none. Her care is carried out with complete regard to her dignity at all times. Nothing is too much trouble for these loving carers.
The home is spotlessly clean whenever we visit, there is a good programme of activities and residents are gently encouraged to join in regardless of their capabilities.

I feel that we as a family were really fortunate to find a place for Mum at Abbey Park and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff are amazing. They go above and beyond. The love and care they gave to Nan was outstanding. I wish my nan had been brought to this care home earlier than she was as she really settled and relaxed.

I cannot fault the staff for their care, concern and love for my wife. She was turned and made comfortable with delicacy and respect.
The room was rearranged to enable my wife to see out of the window. As my wife had problems eating and drinking she was encouraged by being given alternatives to the 'set' menu, and by the way, the staff administered the food and drink.

They would spend time talking to her and hoisting her into the lounge for a change is aspect and company. She was fully dependant on the staff and was cared for with the love as of a family member.

If you want a care home with the most wonderful staff, a proactive and attentive management team then do please consider Abbey Park in Humber Road Coventry.

For the time that our mum was a resident at Abbey Park, we witnessed compassion and care from every member of the wonderful team there. This gave us all peace of mind knowing that she was so well taken care of when we couldn’t be there.

Thank you to them all, we will never forget your kindness to our mum.

Following an extended hospitalisation of 22 weeks, my mother was discharged to another care home for assessment and reablement. We saw a gradual worsening of that establishment due, in no small measure, to the very low staffing. Mum was only having showers on a twice or three times a week rota so we resolved to seek a better home for her. The family visited a large number of homes so that we could get a feel for what was available.
It soon became apparent that Abbey Park was head and shoulders above the other homes that we had seen and the family of five children unanimously agreed that this home was the best. Mum was assessed and accepted. She had a daily shower which is what she had always been used to and all of the staff were efficient.

There were certain staff members in the "Dream Team" as we christened them who went well beyond their duties spending time with mum polishing her nails and generally fussing over her as though she was their Nan which we all wanted.

Abbey Park is excellent and a shining example of what a care home should be. After a serious accident mum, who had been a very independent lady, needed a lot of extra care and although it was a difficult decision, we feel privileged and grateful to have found this home. We were welcomed as a family and mum was treated with the utmost dignity and respect by all staff, who went above and beyond our expectations. Mum was always well cared for and the staff were superbly kind, caring, efficient and had a good relationship with mum.

They noticed if she was unwell and acted very promptly. Her personal, physical and all her medical requirements were dealt promptly and kindly. We could leave mum knowing she was being so very well cared for, which helped immensely. We will be eternally grateful to all staff for their wonderful care of mum. It was the very best we could have hoped for. We could not recommend this home highly enough and so comforting to know mum had the best care around.

Mum was only a resident for a couple of months - however, we were all very impressed from the start.

Consistency is the key - in cleanliness, quality of food, general and specific care, environment, all the staff, organisation, well staffed, attention to detail and adherence to protocols and care-packages. A warm, loving, caring place to be whether you were resident or visiting.

We couldn't have found a more caring team and environment.

As a family, we were, and are, fully appreciative of all they did for Mum and all that we could see for the other residents. We were very frequent visitors and the observations were absolutely consistent.

My mum spent the last two months of her life at Abbey Park Nursing Home, receiving palliative care as we could no longer manage her condition at home. From day one we were all made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble, which was greatly appreciated during this transitional period of mum's care. When I was unable to visit, I was able to chat with a member of staff, who had actually worked with mum during the day, over the phone. If staff were particularly busy, I was always invited to phone back later for reassurance. Hand overs between shifts were always on point and I was given a thorough account of how mum was. Certain staff were exceptional and treating mum as if she was their own mother, (in an appropriate way of course) which was comforting to us all. I spent mum's last few days with her without going home, and I was looked after and supported with the genuine compassion that was extended to my mum. I would really recommend Abbey Park as a care facility for your loved one.

Management and staff were always willing to listen to our concerns and act upon them. Accommodation allowed our mother to be as independent as she was able - doing her own breakfast/drinks/medication. The sitting room with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom made it less like giving up her own home than a care home bedroom only. Care at the end of my mother's life was excellent.

Outstanding service provided to my mum and our family. The care received was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The room was always clean and comfortable and my mother was very happy here, she was treated with dignity and respect. My family and I were kept up to date on her care and this was very much appreciated, no question was too small or silly and the management and staff always had the time to talk to our family. Abbey Park was always clean when we visited and staff were on hand to clean up any spills my mother had in a timely manner. What stood out most for our family was the sympathy, care and support they provided through a difficult time to both my mother and our family. Even though the home is a busy one the staff and management took the time to talk to us and check we were OK, I'm sure this is above and beyond their job roles. The staff at this home made a difficult time more bearable and for that, we will forever be grateful.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Abbey Park for over 8 years. She has always been cared for very well, she is always clean and tidy and the nurses, carers and other staff all take time to take all her needs into consideration. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday and everyone went to a great deal of trouble to help her and her visitors enjoy the day. The kitchen produced a lovely buffet and cake and it was good to see her able to interact and obviously enjoy the attention.

Having never wanted to be in a position where we were no longer able to care for Mum it unfortunately became a reality last year due to an accident and during this time she had been in hospital and a nursing home both of which were not the right environment for her as she is fiercely independent so when we searched for what we thought did not exist which is a good home with a fair degree of independence we were ecstatic to find Abbey.
During the time Mum has been at the assisted living self-contained flat everything we were promised during the assessment has come to fruition and despite running a very big home with many residents and members of staff, the home Manager always makes time to speak to you and seems to remember who your relative is which is quite an achievement in itself.

Mum seems as happy as she can be as she will always want to be back home but sometimes these things are not possible so this is definitely the next best thing for an independent minded person.
