Dovedale Court Care Home, located just outside the lovely market town of Wednesbury in the West Midlands, offers personalised nursing and residential dementia care in a friendly and welcoming setting.

A real home-from-home, Dovedale Court boasts a plethora of spots where residents can relax and socialise. Recently refurbished, residents also benefit from specially designed furnishings which maximise comfort and ensure residents feel at home. The courtyard garden is a tranquil spot in which to spend time and to catch up with friends and family, and the on-site salon offers the perfect space to enjoy a little TLC.

The dedicated and professional care team at Dovedale Court take the time to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests. Not only does this make it possible to build positive relationships with residents, but it also allows them to curate an activities programme that compliments each residents' interests, supporting them to get involved with the Dovedale Court lifestyle.

Residents are also encouraged to take an active role in the Wednesbury community in whatever way suits them, whether it be building relationships with neighbours in local community groups and schools or taking trips out and about in the local area.

My mam has been a resident at Dovedale Court since February 2024. She is very happy here and settled in quickly. Every member of staff is so helpful and kind, they are 100% caring carers and love their jobs. Communication is excellent, I always know how Mam's been every day and throughout the night.
She loves the food, the meals are varied and nutritious, and there are always plenty of activities. I can't recommend Dovedale Court enough. My mam is safe, happy, clean and well cared for.

Our mom spent her end-of-life care here after leaving the hospital. We instantly felt a warm, caring, happy environment as we first entered the home. Every staff member was kind, loving, professional and relatable. We were very happy Mom spent her last weeks in this home, it gave us much-needed peace
of mind. In her last hours, we were talked through the process, provided with food, drinks and emotional support. The management and staff here are excellent and we thank you all for the love and care extended to Mom and her daughters.

The care and support for my Father has been 1st class. The friendliness of the staff and their excellent response times have been such a reassurance to the family.
The managers, nursing and caring staff have the right balance between professionalism and the personal touch in my opinion.
For someone
who would only eat his Wife's food to say how good the meals are is the highest compliment.
The room and communal areas are kept very clean.
This is an excellent all-round 'caring and supportive home' and you all deserve credit.

Mom was recently put on end-of-life care as of end of January. Myself and several family members stayed over through the night and day, the staff were amazing went above and beyond supporting us as a family and of course Mom.
Offering us meals every mealtime, spare room to sleep in, and just general
care and concern for us all.
Mom was always kept comfortable, repositioned and changed on a regular basis, Mom has made a miraculous recovery and is improving every day, we've even had the kitchen staff come and see me to see how we would prefer her food, what and when we should give her as not a lot of appetite at the minute.

The manager and all the wonderful staff at Dovedale arranged a party for my father-in-law on Saturday 18th November to celebrate his 90th Birthday (20/11/23). All the family cannot thank everyone enough. It was fabulous and such a joyous occasion. They certainly pulled out all the stops and thought
of everything to make his 90th Birthday so special. Once again a great big humongous thank you. Your kindness will never be forgotten by all of us.

I am very happy with the care, attention and love shown to my mom. Nothing is too much trouble for anything I request for Mom.
The management have been really attentive to Mom's needs. Always there when you need to talk. All staff take a personal interest, not only in my mom but in all residents which
I have observed. Staff really care about family members too. I couldn't think of anywhere else I would like my mom to be cared for!

My dad recently passed away at Dovedale Court after spending the last 8 weeks of his long life (he was 93 years old) in their care, following 4 months in NHS care. We could not have been more pleased about how they looked after him, always with compassion and dignity.
They also 'went that extra mile'
- a favourite expression of my dads - in helping him to visit my mum, who is also a resident in another care home, whom he had not seen since March before he was taken ill. They helped him out of bed into a wheelchair for breakfasts and lunch, he had previously been deemed bed-bound and that facilitated him being able to visit his wife with the help of the care home minibus. Space does not allow me to mention too many names, but the care home manager and two who welcomed my dad on arrival and looked after him frequently deserve specific mentions for their professionalism and their caring attitude. Can't forget a big shout out to the welcoming residents in reception.

I could not have found a better care home anywhere for my parents. The staff are like another family. I am the last person who ever wanted my parents in a home, but I am so satisfied that they are being looked after, are safe and loved. I said the other day, 'I want to come here when it's my turn'.
Can not praise them enough. They would not be with us if it was not for this beautiful care home.

My mother was a resident at Dovedale Court, the staff are very friendly and welcoming she was there for fifteen months before sadly passing away, I was there during the night and the night staff was there for myself and my mom. She was well cared for and treated with dignity.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. My mom has settled very well at Dovedale Court Care Home which is very comforting for myself and family. The staff also are very good with my elderly father when he visits his wife. All in all, very happy with everything.

We have been very happy with the care provided to my father during his stay.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Dawn has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Dawn closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Dovedale Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Dawn remarked:


“I really enjoy being part of such a fantastic team. It means so much to me to work together to ensure our Residents are happy.”


Outside of work, Dawn is very family orientated, as she enjoys spending quality time with her children.
