Everyone knew him from the manager to the chef and the site manager and all treated him the same.
All the carers, including day staff and night staff, were excellent and retained a high level of care every day.
After Dad's passing, the emotion and love shown by the staff was overwhelming.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your kind words, he was a much-loved resident and will be sadly missed by all the staff and residents.
The staff were excellent with her. She lasted longer because of how well she was looked after.
Many thanks for your kind words, she was a much loved resident at our home and will be sadly missed.
Looked after, kept clean and the food was very good.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful, there were some activities if the patient was able to take part.
The home is well maintained and kept very clean.

Mom was only there for 4 days. From the time Mom went in on a Thursday due to a second stroke and PEG feed, we found the staff helped us to settle her, make her comfortable and she was even taken into to recreation TV area. They kept us informed and all my family were given comfort at Mom's sudden passing. Thank you, we got the best care for the money Mom paid.
We never expected to be in a position where we’d have to find a care home for Mum. She needed end of life care and the thought of putting mum in the care of someone else terrified us. From the moment we walked in Newbury Manor we knew she was safe. We’d planned on visiting many care homes, but the staff, the rooms, the atmosphere - it was all so comforting, like a little family, so we didn’t visit any others. The care mum (and we) received was incredible. Mum wasn’t herself towards the end - but nothing phased the nurses, they treated her with the respect, dignity and compassion that only people with genuine care can deliver. They talked to her every day, addressed any of our concerns, and even shared a tear with us right at the end. They even made us drinks and sandwiches when we’d visit. We can’t thank Newbury Manor enough for helping us all through such a difficult time. We would 100% recommend the manor if you’re faced with the same difficult decisions we did.
All the residents appear to be happy and well cared for.
My husband was in the care home for a short time but was treated with compassion and dignity.
Overall the care given to my mother was very good. What impressed over this was when inevitable difficulties arose the management welcomed discussion and an action plan was drawn up, with input from the family - problem solved.
A very happy place, always trying to keep residents active with various classes. Very good food. A very pleasant environment to live in.
My nan was in this care facility for end of life care. From the very start, the staff were extremely caring and respectful, not only with my nan but with us, as we sat with her during her final days. We as a family were looked after well with food and drink and found the support invaluable. My nan was treated with dignity, friendly, caring, polite and respectful staff. Thank you.
Very comfortable and caring environment.
Staff are extremely helpful. Good rooms and common facilities. Kept very clean and tidy.
A professional friendly team from the manager, reception staff, nurses, carers, helpers, cleaners and maintenance. We were kept well informed of all aspects of my father's care. The home provided an excellent choice of nutritious food and snacks.
Menus offered a good variety and looked appetising.
There was never unpleasant odours when visiting due to the high standard of cleanliness.
Newbury Manor were very accommodating and made the transfer from hospital to care home smooth. The staff looked after our relative with care and consideration.
My experience here has been very good. Never been in a care home before. You will, in future, be highly recommended. I will, once settled in, come and see you all. I thank you all for all your help. God bless and good luck in the future.
The staff were caring and attentive.
Very friendly environment. Excellent support for relatives.
The staff and carers are pleasant and very helpful. The home is very well maintained and kept very clean. The food is always varied and well presented.
He was treated with dignity and respect and was quickly made to feel welcome.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff who gave a compassionate and caring service both to him and myself.
My sister went to Newbury Manor Nursing Home on an urgent basis. We did not know the home and thought we may move her if not satisfactory. From day one, we were delighted due to her excellent treatment. She improved and survived months after her original diagnosis. This was due to the care, food etc she received at the home. As she gradually faded away, the wonderful care and sympathy continued. They were great.
