We were very fortunate to move both our parents into The Priory, the residential floor and the nursing floor providing for different needs. Whilst there are single rooms only, this arrangement proved to be appropriate for us. Our dear father passed away after 7 weeks and since then our mum has been very well supported. My brother and I cannot fault the caring attitude of all the staff. Despite concerns about Covid-19, the atmosphere has remained cheerful and positive. My mum appreciates the small human touches which help to enrich her stay at The Priory.
We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care. Thank you for your kind words.
All the staff are such wonderful caring and professional people, whatever their role, they have all shown my mother such warmth and wonderful care. They are so friendly when I visit, always offering us drinks etc. But what amazes me most is when I ring, especially at the moment when I can't visit, they recognise my voice and can give me a complete update of my mom's health and day, without having to look up notes.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us lovely comments.
The care my father received from all the lovely staff was wonderful. I am so grateful to each and every one of them, they work very hard and always with a smile always willing to stop and talk, explain and ease any concerns we had. They truly helped my father and us, his family, through a very hard couple of years. Thank you all.
We really appreciate you taking the time leave us such lovely feedback. Thank you.
Whist the standard of the majority of the nurses is very high the fact there are safety issues, poor management and a lack of training in cross infection make this a place I would definitely not recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
The staff at The Priory are loving, caring and excellent, nothing is too much trouble. My uncle needed regular dressings which were dealt with cleanly, quickly and efficiently. The rooms cater for the individual client and are clean. I felt very comfortable placing my uncle into their care.
Thank you for leaving such lovely comments.
Would recommend The Priory Care Home to family and friends. Very friendly, all my needs met, nurses, carers were extremely nice and look after me and were there when I needed them.
Thank you for your praise. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us.
The activity room is separate from the lounge, allowing for choice to residents who may not wish to leave the lounge.
The carers are, in the main, dedicated and compassionate. Mum loved most (but not all) of them and they were very friendly to family and visitors.
However, by the very nature of the establishment, there will always be emergencies or demands from multiple residents. This is not reflected in the staffing levels. For example, residents can be left longer than is ideal waiting for toilet assistance, especially if two carers are required for hoisting, this, therefore, compromises their dignity. The carers are very stretched in order to be available to varying needs of residents/patients. More staff are needed at mealtimes in the evening and at night times. The environment of the home is excellent, even a little hairdressing salon. More staff on the frontline would make it outstanding.
Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
The staff at Priory Care Home could not be faulted.

The kindness and care shown by the staff to both my grandmother and the members of our family has been second to none. I cannot praise them highly enough, they have all been wonderful throughout.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We are very pleased about you choosing the Priory for you grandmothers stay and hope to continue providing you and you family with the best possible care.
My mother died at The Priory Care Home on 7th January 2019 at the age of 104 1 month and 1 day having been a resident for almost three years. It is difficult to find words that adequately express how grateful I am to all the wonderful staff who not only cared for her but also for us her daughters especially during her final days. How fortunate we were to find such a lovely care home for her. Thank you all.

The quality of care offered to Mum has been exemplary. The staff always go that extra mile for mum. I always receive a cheerful welcome when I visit from the staff. If we have any problem the staff always help and provide advice. I have recommended The Priory to friends in similar circumstances with their relatives.

We could not have wished for better care of Mom in her final weeks of life. The whole staff were so caring and sympathetic not only to Mom but also to us, her family and friends. The facilities were excellent. Always a cup of tea and biscuits offered to us on arrival. I have marked N/A to three boxes as these simply did not apply due to Mom's circumstances.

My experience as a resident at The Priory has been very positive, including a warm welcome, an attractive, well-appointed en-suite room, always warm with good views. Good, well-cooked meals with choices from the menus, a sheet showing the activities chosen for each day, caring staff to assist when whenever needed, especially with early morning showers. Freedom for family and friends to visit at any time. A general attitude of caring.
Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you are enjoying your experience at The Priory, we appreciate your comments of our home.
My parents moved into The Priory together in April 2014. My mother passed away in 2015 and my father in February 2018. The care they received was excellent, the staff were efficient, friendly and fun. Their end of life care could not be faulted and the support given to the family made a distressing time more bearable.
Thank you for your review and I'm pleased that you and your family were well supported during this time. I am sorry for your loss.
So she is "not" getting what she paid for.

My mum has now been at The Priory Care Home in Solihull for 2.5 years and during this time she has always been treated with the utmost care and respect from all the staff. There is always a happy and homely feel which is of particular importance to Mum. There is a good range of activities, interesting progressive exercise classes, bingo, arts and crafts and I know Mum really enjoys the singer and visits from the local nursery children. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Priory Care Home.
Communication from staff is excellent.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments about our home.
My mother has to have liquidised food, unfortunately, she doesn't like mashed potato so this causes a problem.

Meet the Team (2)

We are all like a large family here at The Priory. My passion is leading the team to perform exceptionally in infection control procedures as I am the infection control champion for the home. I am also an engagement champion which involves me linking with other local homes to share best practice ideas and cascade to the team here. I thoroughly enjoy my role and look forward to many years to come. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to Reggae and I love a nice cold rum and coke.

I first started at The Priory as a Care Assistant. In 2019 I stepped into the role of activity co-ordinator. I love my role and providing a variety of stimulating activities for the residents. We particularly love doing themed days such as beach days, bastille day and various charity events involving the community. In my spare time I love holidays and dancing as I am part of a local dance organisation.
