Review from Gail S (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 October 2017 Submitted via Postal Card

My mum has received the most wonderful care and support during her three week respite stay. The staff have always been so kind and patient with her.
They have slowly built her confidence and with gentle encouragement, she has regained her appetite and is now eating all her delicious lunch and chatting to other residents.

You receive a warm welcome as soon as you step through the door.

Thank you for your review. I'm so glad to hear that your mum enjoyed her stay with us and that she has got some of her confidence back and enjoying her food. I hope that she will come and stay with us again for some respite care.

Lovely clean home with very friendly and caring staff that will help out with any requests. A few nurses are exceptionally good and seem to go beyond the call of duty. I would be very happy to recommend this home to anyone.

I came into Leominster Care Home in a very bad state. I cried for several days owing to my illness and the death of my husband. Whilst I was in here the carers took care of me and welcomed me and brought me back to myself after several weeks. I would tell anyone how nice it is in Leominster Care Home.

Carers generally caring and helpful. Sometimes seem to rush - probably because they have so many residents to see at the same time. Food, good generally and will react positively to suggestions. Laundry service good. Cleaning good. Senior staff will listen and act on request or suggestions. Some careers sometimes need to listen to residents requests more sympathetically.

Bupa Leominster are looking after my Nan, I am very happy with the way the girls are looking after my Nan. Always taking the time to talk to her and when they are generally walking past, they always pop their heads in the door to say hello. Food is always brilliant and my Nan never complains.

I was in the care home is nearly 5 weeks for respite care.

I am elderly and was suffering from a chest infection. I could not fault the care and attention shown to me by all the staff. I was treated with dignity and respect and everyone made me feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. I am diabetic and all my dietary needs were taken care of and I was even able to eat the wonderful homemade cake and puddings because they were diabetic friendly. There was always a good choice on the menu and food was tasty and good quality. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who needed extra care, support and TLC.

My father was fast-tracked into Leominster as he was not expected to live very long. Due to the care and dedication of the staff he has pulled through, is still with us some 8 months later. I cannot praise all the staff enough. They always make you so welcome when visiting and could not think of a better place I would like my dad to be. They are a credit to the company- well done.

My old friend of 90 years old couldn't have been looked after better in all ways of care to the end of her life in August 2016.

Apart from the occasional moment, everything was in place for top care from everyone at the home and I would recommend it to anyone who requires the best care possible.

My mum spent the last six years of her life in the Leominster Care Home, and during that time she was always happy, contented and very well cared for. Over the years, we have made many good friends amongst the staff, a great bunch of people working in an exceptionally well-run care home.
