My husband has been in Barchester The Mount House & Severn View Care Home since February 2024, he has many and increasing needs. I cannot praise the home enough. The staff are wonderful, patient and kind, knowledgeable and efficient. It feels like a home from home. My husband is as happy there as is possible under the circumstances.
Thank you very much for your lovely review of our home.
They look after my husband so well and in a crisis are fantastic, I know he is in safe hands. I'm so glad I picked Barchester The Mount House & Severn View Care Home.
Thank you very much for your lovely review of our home.
Mum has been so well cared for. The staff are amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for The Mount House - we really appreciate your feedback.
Barchester is a national chain and as so, only cares about making money out of your relative. Be prepared in that they charge you for a month even after a resident has departed and they even go so far as to charge for a further week if they sadly pass away.
It might be your first port of call or you may have no alternative but please seek the advice of other families and place yourself in a queue for a local, family-run residential home. There are a number with a fantastic reputation. I have never looked back and my mother is fully settled in her new abode, receiving special treatment and is now treated like one of the family.
Thanks for taking the time to add a review. We're sorry to learn you were unhappy with Mount House & Severn View Care Home and had not shared this with us at the time your relative was with us. We're grateful to you for sharing your feedback and we're sorry that we were unable to meet your...
My mother has been a resident at The Mount House for the last year. During that time, I have found the care to have been consistently excellent. Every member of staff has been welcoming, friendly and caring. The food quality is also consistently excellent. Even though my mother is confined to bed, the activities coordinator has gone out of her way to involve her where she is able.
Thank you for your kind words, I will endeavour to ensure the whole team is aware of your lovely review.
Both of my parents are in The Mount and I can say how well looked after they both are. All the staff including the manager are lovely, friendly and nothing is too much for them. What I like is, from the time my parents went in (different months) the friendly support that the home/staff have given me, has and still are helping so much for me to accept the change. I can't thank The Mount Care Home enough. This review relates from the time my parents joined The Mount.
Mum has had the most outstanding care whilst at The Mount. The entire staff are always professional and friendly and genuinely cares about Mum and the family. It has been a difficult time for the family, but the staff have shown such care and compassion for Mum and us - nothing was too much trouble. They included Mum in the Carol Sevice in her room; it was so moving and created a beautiful memory for us. We are so grateful to the entire team for Mum's last few days, passing with dignity, pain-free and peace.
My 90-year-old mother has been a nursing care resident at The Mount House for nearly a year. The care has been excellent and the staff superb, as visitors the family and friends are always made to feel welcome. Although she is confined to her bed I would like to particularly mention the 'extra mile' taken to involve her in the home's activities and extra personal care, manicure, hand massage etc. At Christmas, a personalised photographic card was made for relatives which was much appreciated. I take this opportunity to thank a particular member of staff (and all the carers and nurses) for that 'extra mile', it all goes a long way towards making her feel special.
Thank you for your lovely words! All our staff try their very best to ensure The Mount House is a "home from home".
Dad was quite poorly when he arrived at Barchester The Mount House & Severn View Care Home. His medications had been changed again and again in hospital and he was very confused. The staff were marvellous; he got his medications stabilised and supported him to regain his mobility and confidence that he needed in order to return home (with three times a day carriers). Thank you so much for giving dad his independence back.
Thank You for taking the time to leave your lovely review and I have passed your kind comments onto the care team. It was a pleasure to see the change in Dad and help him return to his home.
Stayed until Sunday 10/9/23. Very satisfied with all aspects. All staff were friendly and helpful and appeared competent. Catering very good with attention to particular needs and preferences.
Slight reservation on shower/bath facilities which seemed rather restrictive, but purely adequate for most residents who require assistance.
May need long-term care and would consider the Mount for this although financially would need serious consideration.
Lovely staff who go the extra mile to ensure the visit is a memorable one - they do the most amazing cakes! My friend is very happy and settled here and is very appreciative of the care he has received.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review; it's always a pleasure reading such positive feedback on the care my team provides. Your feedback will be shared with the team and, of course, the chef regarding the cakes! Thank you.
They have also been a great support for the rest of the family, every visit is relaxed and we take great comfort in knowing that Dad is well looked after and happy.
Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your lovely comments about our home, the care your father received and team at Mount House. Your feedback will be shared with the team who will be delighted to hear your feedback.
The care at The Mount House & Severn View Care Home was wonderful, the staff went above and beyond. All staff were professional, superb, caring and loving. We could not ask for anything better. We would just like to thank all the carers, nurses and management for being there for us. Thank you again.
Your kind words mean a lot to us and serve as a great motivation for our team. We strive to consistently deliver excellent care and support, and your review assures us that we are on the right track.
Thank you.
My brother has only been a resident at The Mount House & Severn View Care Home for 6 weeks but I really wanted to write a review to say how wonderfully welcoming everyone has been from the manager and nurses to the admin and housekeeping staff. The nursing care has been excellent. The home is clean and cosy and the food my brother tells me is delicious. We are so grateful for the ongoing care and would highly recommend The Mount House & Severn View Care Home.
Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation of the care we provide at Mount House, it's an absolute pleasure having your brother to stay. You're more than welcome to have lunch with us anytime, just pop your order into chef when you next visit. I will be sure to share your comments with the whole team.
My mum was only in the home for a few weeks before she passed away but my experience of visiting Mum was very positive. The care she received was wonderful as was the care they showed me. I can't think of one negative thing to say, everything from cleanliness to kind words, wonderful food and a homely atmosphere were all exceptional. My only wish would have been that Mum could have spent more time there before she passed away, as even though she had Alzheimer's she was happy, chatty and such a good patient. I will miss seeing everybody at the home but will recommend it to everyone I know. Many thanks.
Thank you for your wonderful review of our home and the care our team provides. It was an absolute pleasure having your mother stay at The Mount; her personality and warmth shone brightly. You're welcome to pop in at any time for a chat; there's always a slice of homemade cake waiting for you within our home.
The staff are very caring and the cleaning and maintenance staff go beyond their remit down to the smallest detail. We have been able to take personal things for Mum and have pictures hung and shelves fitted. The catering staff listened and provided the food requested. For Mum's 97th birthday, they made a lovely cake and treated her very well. The cleaning staff do more than just clean, they take care and chat and provide things when needed.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback about our home. We are pleased to hear that your experience has been positive and appreciate all of your kind comments about our team.
On my arrival at The Mount, the reception and welcome were amazing. The warmth and friendliness of the staff were lovely. This was my first time visiting a friend of mine and I was really pleased to find that she loves living at The Mount and spoke very highly of the staff and the home.
Thank you for your feedback, it is wonderful to hear such news -please be advised we will share this with the team.
Would have no hesitation in recommending Barchester The Mount House & Severn View Care Home. Staff are excellent and efficient in what they do, nothing is too much trouble. Food is very good, all homecooked. We're very happy with everything.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Mount House and Severn View, it means so much to the team. We have been trialling some new menus which are proving very popular so it is really positive to have further positive feedback.
My mother has been very happy and contented since her move into The Mount. The staff are very supportive and friendly. Even when busy, they will listen to concerns and try to find a solution. They have had to deal with a lot of additional responsibilities as a result of COVID and have done this with good humour and resilience. The ambience is very soothing and comfortable. Thank you for all of your help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the home, the staff go out of their way to make it home from home so will be so pleased with the feedback. It is wonderful to hear how happy your mum is with us here at the Mount House.
My 93-year-old mother moved into Mount House following a life-changing accident, which left her blind and after six weeks in hospital. I have the highest praise for the staff of Mount House for the way they help mum, encouraging her to regain as much independence as her disability allows, and ensuring she takes an active part in activities. The staff has also made family and friends very welcome and any queries have been quickly answered and resolved. In the 3 months Mum has been resident, she has changed from a frightened and confused old lady to someone who is enjoying life again.
It is very nice to hear how your loved one has been in good hands and that we made a positive difference.
Thank you again for your feedback and your lovely words.
