Roden Hall Residential Nursing Home in the hamlet of Roden provides high levels of care at a time when it matters most.

Absolutely incredible in every way. Every aspect of the home is beautifully done and to a very high standard. I have not come across a single unhappy resident on any visit to the home. The whole staff team are very helpful and contribute massively to the friendly, relaxing and caring atmosphere in the
home.
The range of activities and events is fantastic and it is wonderful that family and friends are always so welcome to join in.
Having a lot of experience of many different homes I would have to say Roden Hall is by far the best in every way.

My dad was a resident at Roden Hall for the final months of his life and we couldn't have asked for a better environment or a more caring team to look after him. As a family we felt supported and cared for and nothing was ever too much trouble. The care my dad received was the best and he came to love
and trust the staff and they made his final weeks as happy as it was possible. I would recommend Roden Hall to anyone who is looking for an exceptional care home with a professional and so very caring team.

Seldom have I seen a care home group which put so much effort into the quality of life for its residents. The facilities are of a very high standard but it is the ‘extras’ I admire most - staff enthusiasm and the wide range of activities in particular.

I cannot recommend Roden Hall, its general manager and her team highly enough. The building is absolutely stunning and is not yet 12 months old. Internally it's more like a five-star hotel than any care home I have seen, yet it's also inviting and wonderfully comfortable. It sits in its own grounds
which will be stunning come the spring/summer and give residents and their families/friends another beautiful space to enjoy. Inside there is a pub, cafe, cinema/theatre, arts/crafts room and hairdressing/beauty salon too! The food is home-cooked with ingredients locally sourced and is frequently and extremely positively commented on by my friend. Activities are many and varied and include one-to-one room visits for those who do not feel like taking part or who are feeling poorly. The level of care my friend receives is second to none with many of her carers becoming more like friends than purely carers and I have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending Roden Hall.

We were very grateful that Mum spent her last few weeks at Roden Hall. The care she received from all staff was excellent. Whilst the current building is looking tired and needing fresh decoration. It was very peaceful and friendly.

The care shown by the staff was second to none. My mother did not want to go into care for respite but was upset to leave. The building is tired but a new one is being built, just hope as it gets better the time given to the residents isn’t affected

My mother was a resident at Roden for over 3 years and in that time she was always looked after well and treated with dignity. I was always kept informed on her health etc and myself and my family were always treated well by the staff.

I am happy with the care my father receives at Roden Hall, he lives comfortably. The food is of a good standard and the staff are friendly and caring. Some aspects of the building are tired and in need of replacement, the windows, in particular, would benefit from replacement. Overall I am more than

The general cleanliness of my father is very good: cleanshaven, haircut, nails cut. He is very happy with the food and the care he receives. Biscuits and drinks are always available. Doctors visit regularly. Prompt action on occasions when required to go to the hospital. Staff are very caring and pop
in regularly. Overall we are very pleased with the treatment my father receives.

Roden Hall had been my stepmother's home since 2009. I have nothing but praise for the staff. The care she received during this time was first class. I have visited two ladies at Roden Hall Care Home for about 3 years, in the afternoons.
The ladies and their rooms always look clean and access to a doctor every week if necessary is good. One lady likes the food, the other is not interested.
When one lady was more active, we took part in activities
and enjoyed them.
I would just question why the other lady is in bed all the time.

When my mother was admitted to your care home, the Staff and Management were very passionate about what care my mother could receive. Whilst Mum was with you from our point of view, she has the best care you could offer. The room was lovely (the sort I would have in the future). Everybody did exactly
what they could do, even though Mums time with yourselves was a short one we are so very glad Mum had her last days in your care.

During recent problems with my mother, the manager was excellent and very professional.

I am the nephew of a resident of this home. The care provided by the home is excellent and the staff treat her with dignity and respect. Not only does this apply to her but to her daughter and long term partner who visit on a daily basis. I would not hesitate to recommend the home to other families.

The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The nursing care is caring and excellent. The home is warm and room well appointed and clean. The staff involve in the activities. The staff make it homely at present they are putting up Christmas decorations which look cheerful.

Overall, from observations and through regular contact with a family member, who is a service user, it is evident that staff deliver a good quality of care to residents as they are attentive, established rapport, meet all the basic needs and practice from a personalised approach. However the building
is not fit for purpose but the staff manage to overcome this exceptionally and it is kept clean and tidy to a good standard. Therefore, I would recommend Roden Hall Care Home with Nursing, but the location is difficult to get to for those such as visitors that do not drive.

My Uncle has been a resident for about two years. In that time he has received the appropriate care and consideration. Staff are friendly and efficient. He is always clean and tidy, his room being large and comfortable, overlooking the garden (which is his most favourite occupation!!) I visit weekly
and at differing times of the day and have always found his care to be satisfactory.

For 23 years’ prior, she worked as a Paramedic in the British Army.
