Choosing a care home for someone you love is never easy, but Hammerwich Hall has given us tremendous reassurance and peace of mind.

From the moment she became a resident, the staff have been caring, compassionate, friendly and professional. It is clear that they genuinely care about the residents, and this is reflected in the way they treat both my mother-in-law and our family whenever we visit. We are particularly impressed with the high standard of personal care she receives. She is always clean, well presented and comfortable, and it is obvious that staff take pride in ensuring she is treated with dignity and respect. They take the time to understand her individual needs and preferences, making her feel valued rather than simply another resident.

The food also deserves special praise. My mother-in-law regularly tells us how good the meals are, which is lovely to hear. She receives a well-balanced and nutritious diet!

We as a family highly recommend Hammerwich hall care home

When I visit mum twice a week the staff are always friendly and willing to help me with mum - if she's in the lounge and I want to take her outside. The home has been decorated to a lovely standard and the garden full of pots and flowers . New chefs in the kitchen have created a lovely food choice . There's lots of activities going on and entertainment with singers which always cheers everyone up and I myself have joined in with dancing . If I need anything for mum at night - the night staff answer as quick as they can and sort what mum needs and reassure me that she's okay . My mum has been here 8 years now and feels it's her home and I have a great relationship with all the staff and appreciate all they do . I would also like to add that we get regular emails from management to update us on anything we need to know - this I have to say has only been with current management and I think it's a really good change

I have been so impressed with the care my mum has received since moving into this home. Rather than her health deteriorating, it has actually improved. She is speaking much more, is ill far less often, and her overall mental wellbeing has noticeably improved.
The staff are truly wonderful. The Home Manager and senior team are caring, compassionate and always approachable, while the carers treat residents with such genuine warmth and affection. Seeing them greet my mum with big smiles and hugs gives me complete confidence that she is loved and well cared for. The chefs are also fantastic and always happy to discuss individual dietary needs.
The activities are varied, engaging and often great fun-the "Butler in the Buff" day was absolutely hilarious and brought so much laughter!

The home itself is beautiful, welcoming and always fresh and clean. It has such a calm, homely atmosphere rather than feeling clinical with odd aromas. I couldn't be happier with the care my mum receives.

It's never ideal to place someone you love into care, however if there is no choice Hammerwich is the place to support your loved one. The staff are kind and empathetic and nothing is too much trouble. My mom is treated with the respect and care she deserves. I have experienced a difficult 6 months trying to keep my mom in the place she now calls home. Without Kerri and Sophie going up and beyond to support mom I'm not sure she would still be here. I am eternally grateful to everyone who works at Hammerwich, the kitchen staff, the great chefs, the cleaners, the laundry team, the hands on care team, office staff, the whole management team and to the other family members who support each other and our loved ones. All Moms basic needs are met, as in most homes, but the difference at Hammerwich Hall is they really care about each individual resident and their family, I see the kindness and hear the laughter. Thank you

My brother only moved to Hammerwich Hall in April 2026 following a long stay in hospital. He has settled in very well. The care staff and management team are so helpful and supportive. This really helps his family to come to terms with the move from his home.
Whilst his bedroom is quite small, it is perfectly adequate and my brother spends most of his time with other residents downstairs enjoying, taking part in or watching the daily activities. Hammerwich Hall have a full programme of activities with family and friends welcome to attend and join in and partake the delicious Afternoon Teas arranged.
The gardens are a delight at this time of year and residents are encouraged to enjoy the sunshine with supportive staff and shaded areas.
I am so pleased and relieved that such a fabulous place has been found for my brother to live.

Thank you so much!

My mother sadly passed away mid January but I wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation to all the team at Hammerwich Hall. The week Mum passed away was very difficult for me but the team were all so caring to me and my family, and of course to Mum who received the most sensitive and dignified care we could have wished for.
Mum had celebrated her 99th birthday in November and had lived at the hall for nearly four years.

I will continue to visit so I can keep in touch with the residents and the lovely staff.

I'm so pleased I chose this care home for my Mum

A massive thanks to you all.

My mother has been a resident at Hammerwich Hall for the last 18 months. She is well settled there and looked after by very caring and friendly staff. The management and senior staff are all very approachable if I have any queries or concerns. I know I will be updated of any concerns or developments regarding my mother's care. We chose Hammerwich because it feels like a home. Not the clinical, corporate look of many residences. The team are very supportive and are always available to speak to. It can be a hard transition for people to go from independence to relying on others but the Hammerwich team do understand and are kind and patient during this time. The activities team work very hard and there is a good variety of things to do during the week. More therapy animals please! Looking forward to spring and the sunshine so Mum can enjoy the garden again.

Thank you Hammerwich Hall Management, all carers and home employees.
My Mum as been living at Hammerwich Hall for almost a year now. She is 94 and lived at home with carers providing her care. It became impossible for Mum to stay at home any longer due to frequent falls and declining mental health.
Mum has had Parkinson's disease for 27 years and now has the onset of dementia. The care at Hammerwich Hall has been so respectful, and sympathetic to her symptoms not withstanding she can be very challenging at times, they are patient and kind.
Mums general wellbeing has improved and she is now settled in the homes environment. She joins in activities which is so good for her mental health.
Visiting Hammerwich Hall is like going to an extended family gathering. I have got to know some of the lovely residents and family members and feel so welcome when I walk in.

Mum moving to Hammerwich Hall has given me back quality time with her. I could go on.

Mum has been living at Hammerwich Hall now since July 2025 after it became increasingly difficult for my 93 year old father to look after her at home . It took mum some time to settle but helped by the lovely staff this is now her home and she is happy there . Mum is much more engaged with what is going on around her thanks to the staff who provide activities and entertainment . The staff at the home are very caring and always welcoming to us as family. Managers and staff are always polite and friendly and professional and communication is good . They take time to get to know the residents which is important. Mum often comments on the lovely meals she has and so we must not forget the staff who work hard to provide meals for the residents , thank you, and of course cups of tea from the kitchen when they're busy. Nothing is too much trouble.
The home is gradually being refurbished and is beginning to look better , especially the new lounge .

Thank you to everyone for looking after mum

Mom 93, was being cared for at home twice a day carers until mid July 2025. At home, she was becoming withdrawn and increasingly in need of fulltime care.

After moving into care in July, there has been a total transformation. Mom is now engaging and back to her normal self. She accepts and appreciates the care given. Well done Hammerwich Hall, what a transformation. Thank you.

My wife and I visited Hammerwich Care Home, which is situated in a lovely rural environment, to view and arrange for respite care following a long period of treatment by varied bodies after my wife had a major knee operation in hospital. Though a busy day for the home on our visit there was a full commitment to welcoming us. We had tea/coffee refreshments in their attractive tea room. The staff were well supporting of residents and visitors. The manager was very friendly and we had a comprehensive discussion of her needs and the facilities available at the home. We were then kindly provided with a lovely lunch. The home is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. We have now booked for a respite break, and are confident that all facilities are there to make her stay pleasant. A bonus was the unsolicited offer by the manager to get my wife to have her hair cut as the hairdresser was on the premises that day. A real help given her immobility problems.

My mother has been in the facility since March 2024. Although physically well and mobile, she suffers from dementia and is now unable to live alone. The staff at Hammerwich are always smiling and welcoming, exactly the environment that my mother needs. Any phonecalls are answered promptly and the staff always do their best to answer any questions quickly and efficiently. The recent appointment of the manager, has been wonderful! He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about his role and encourages ideas and interaction between the home, residents and their families. The amount of activities has been increased and the residents are benefitting a lot. There are also plans to refurbish parts of the building, although it is a beautiful place already, elegant yet homely and the gardens are very nice. My mother used to love gardening and at Hammerwich she can continue the hobby she loved. Thank you to the staff at Hammerwich!

How lucky we are to have Dad in Hammerwich Hall. It is such a pleasure to visit him whenever we want. Dad has settled in well, with the Manager and staff team being friendly and welcoming. Their communication is very good - Dad is well cared for and changes are made to accommodate his needs. The home is well presented. It is clean and thoughtfully decorated for each event/theme day. There is a weekly programme of varied activities, in which visitors can also take part. Regular meetings take place with residents and relatives. All areas of care including catering, cleaning, laundry etc. are superb. My parents were given a lovely anniversary lunch recently, attention to detail on decoration of the tea room and the menu. Such special memories created. A lovely, quiet and rural location, we highly recommend Hammerwich Hall.
