Hammerwich Hall, near Lichfield, offers care packages tailored to older people’s needs. Carers are also experienced in the challenges of physical disability as well as stroke care. Packages are personalised to particular residential needs, including respite and convalescence provision.

A homely interior is enhanced by landscaped gardens, a sun lounge and many pleasing aesthetics from the home’s time as a private house before it was lovingly converted to suit modern care provision.

My stepfather resided at Hammerwich Hall from July 2020 until May 2022. From his rapid admission until he was taken to hospital for the last time, the staff were kind and considerate to both him and me, despite the pressures they were under owing to Covid restrictions. They dealt with his increasing
care needs and medical issues with professionalism and sympathy. They did all they could to positively interpret the Covid rules so that relatives and residents could stay in touch and visit whenever possible.
My stepfather was always well fed, clean and smartly dressed by the staff, and they dealt with all issues calmly and in an impartial manner.
Obviously, during the time my stepfather was at Hammerwich, the resident's activities had to be severely curtailed, hence my ‘don’t know’ score.
It would be ideal for all rooms to be ensuite, but I appreciate the difficulty (and cost!) of upgrading an old building.

My aunt has been in the care home for a number of years and I have always found the staff to be professional friendly and attentive. The home is clean the food is good and the grounds are well kept.
I would recommend Hammerwich Hall.

My mother has been a resident for over three years now. There are some excellent staff here, who are very caring and work really hard to ensure that all the residents are well looked after. Mom is assisted with all the tasks she can no longer do for herself, whilst being encouraged to be as independent
as possible.
There is a good range of activities available to the residents.
Festivals and birthdays are always celebrated, and a lot of hard work goes into making these occasions special for everyone.

My mother was taken into Hammerwich Hall Care Home for respite, as carers were unavailable for her to go home. I have to say I couldn't be happier with the care she has received in the time she has been there. I think we were extremely fortunate that she was placed at Hammerwich.

I have been visiting my friend for 2 and a half years at Hammerwich Hall. I have found that on the whole, it is a good home. Most staff are friendly and accommodating. The home is clean and welcoming. My friend is happy there and tells me the food is good. Her room is lovely with her own personal belongings.

I visited a family member today, given the current restrictions it is so pleasing to know that they are being cared for in such a pleasing environment. My dad settled extremely well into Hammerwich and I am extremely happy with the care he receives. The building and grounds are beautiful, all of the staff are really lovely and caring, not to mention extremely hard working. I think the pandemic has put lots of strain on the staff, and they have been
faced with extra roles on top of an already busy job role, however, they always give their all and do the best they possibly can.

My mother has recently celebrated her 100th birthday. The staff at Hammerwich Hall worked extremely hard to make the day special, decorating the dining room and the "visiting tent", providing two beautiful birthday cakes and afternoon tea for us when I visited. The evening meal was also to be a celebration.
Sadly I wasn't able to go inside due to COVID-19 restriction but I can't speak highly enough of the efforts put into making her day special.

My mother has recently moved to Hammerwich Hall. I was immediately impressed with the lovely atmosphere created by genuinely caring staff. This is a professionally managed home that puts the core of residents and promptly. The food is fresh and varied menu. The only downside is no en-suite bathroom.

Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to all the staff for looking after our father for the past six months. He has improved in health and confidence since moving into Hammerwich Hall, which is such a beautiful and grand home with every detail provided to make it a home from home - with
a bit extra, to make you feel like a guest rather than a resident. Unfortunately, due to our father's medical needs, he is now moving on to a nursing home, however, we can recommend Hammerwich Hall for any family member. If you want a true care experience, this is definitely the place to choose. Thank you so much for looking after him over the past months, we can't thank you enough. Brilliant staff, management and residents. Oh, the catering staff need a mention also and the food is amazing.

We needed to find somewhere for my Mother in Law at extremely short notice. The staff at Hammerwich Hall were appropriate, sensitive and helpful. They arranged an assessment quickly and welcomed her to respite care as soon as they could. My Mother in Law improved quickly and was only complimentary about
all the staff who really seemed to care about her wellbeing.

Well, mom came to Hammerwich Hall for respite in May for a week while we went on holiday and didn't want to leave! I think mom soon realised how lonely she had been on her own at home but now she is enjoying the company of other friends (as she now calls them!) Mom constantly tells me how wonderful
the staff all are and "nothing's too much trouble." Also, she feels safer. Needless to say - If mom's happy we are too!

This care home was well chosen from other local homes.
The whole atmosphere about the house and garden is extremely welcoming, from the first day my mother in law arrived, she has felt at home and relaxed.
She has no complaints at all.
Some days she has moments of memory loss, even so, she feels
safe and well looked after. We enjoy visiting her and the staff keep us updated with her care needs.

I’ve since returned home as a Team Manager, a role I have held for the past six months, and I’m now honoured to have been given my dream job as Home Manager at Hammerwich Hall. In this role, I lead on delivering high-quality care, working alongside compassionate colleagues who genuinely care from the heart.
