This care home was well chosen from other local homes.
The whole atmosphere about the house and garden is extremely welcoming, from the first day my mother in law arrived, she has felt at home and relaxed.
She has no complaints at all.

Some days she has moments of memory loss, even so, she feels safe and well looked after. We enjoy visiting her and the staff keep us updated with her care needs.

Hammerwich Hall is a lovely residential home and my father has been made most comfortable in a very nice modern room. The manager and her staff are most helpful and friendly and cannot do enough for my father or his visitors. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hammerwich Hall to anyone.

My mother-in-law arrived at the home, took one look at her room and immediately felt at home.
Her eyes lit up, she sat down and said, "I'm home". For us as a family, this was a magical moment for her and us.

Ever since that moment, we have found everything about this home, magical, warm and nothing is too much trouble in the care of our mother and everyone else there. It is superb and are welcoming.

I was very satisfied with my care after my gall bladder removal at hosptial. I went straight to Hammerwich Hall and was treated with care and consideration during my two-week stay at the home. The food and care was very good - nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The care was the same no matter what time of day or night.

Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Staff and residents very welcoming, which makes visiting a very pleasant occasion. Have nothing but praise for the care given to the person I visit. A lot of time and care has been taken with this beautiful home to become the lovely place it is, how fortunate for the residents to have a lovely safe home to reside in with great care.

Two years ago, following the death of her husband, increasing frailty in her own health, and her family residing overseas, my friend had to move to residential care. Her son in law and I visited many care homes prior to our decision that Hammerwich Hall was the most suitable choice to care for her needs. Set in peaceful surroundings, the home is welcoming, clean and bright. Staff offer outstanding care, respect, patience and compassion to their residents. The transition from independent living to residential care is not necessarily one smoothly achieved, yet the staff have done everything within their power to make this as pain-free as possible. The home offers a variety of well organized social activities and outings and whilst residents are encouraged to engage in these, their right to 'opt out' is also respected. Residents are encouraged to personalize their bedrooms into their 'home from home'. The staff are welcoming to visitors and the management team is always accessible.

Since our Father/Grandfather has moved into Hammerwich Hall, he has received fantastic care. The staff are attentive and show a real understanding of his needs and requirements. He entered with mid-stage dementia which has, over the last few months progressed but they have always shown a great understanding of the condition and have always been patient even when he has the really bad days. He is monitored regularly and the home has even invested in new monitoring equipment throughout the whole home as well as a pressure mat just for him as he is no longer capable of alerting the staff using the usual triggers. On his worst days, we have entered his room to find some of the carers sitting with him helping him to eat, just chatting to him or holding his hand to comfort him. Finally, the residents themselves are lovely people that make everyone including the relatives feel welcome into the home. We feel this is more than just a care home it's like a home from home.

In looking for a care home for my mother-in-law I visited six care homes in the area and found that Hammerwich Hall run now by Advinia was far the better home for my mother-in-law. In cleanliness and staff, smartness and professionalism. The variety of food was the best for choice. The dignity the staff and management provide is far above and beyond their duty, nothing is too much trouble. We were anxious at the initial entry into the home but we had no need to worry, my mother-in-law is most happy at Hammerwich Hall which makes us as a family at ease.

Mum moved into Hammerwich last summer after an accident that sadly meant she was unable to return home to live independently. It has been a very emotional time for her but the staff have all been very supportive and extremely caring in helping her to settle in. It is an extremely clean, bright, homely place where we, as her family, are always made to feel welcome by all members of staff. She is treated with dignity and is encouraged to join in activities by the staff and the activities coordinator, who is doing a great job.

My Mother constantly remarks how lovely her room is and how happy she is at Hammerwich Hall. She says she feels safe and well looked after.
My Wife and I feel confident of the care my Mother receives and are kept well informed of any issues that may arise.

It would be difficult to criticise any aspect of the care given to my father during his 4-week convalescent stay at Hammerwich.

In addition, the administration and the effective and sensitive communication and attention given to his wife, myself his daughter and other interested members of the family were exemplary.

At the age of 94, after a serious illness and 2 weeks in hospital, he was very weak, had lost weight and was generally very low both physically and psychologically.

The care he received resulted in significant weight gain, a recovery of his appetite, which has been maintained since and a general air of optimism and return to his old self.

As well as the personal treatment and care given to my father, the entertainment, stimulation and general positivity of all the staff made the experience as good as it could possibly be in the circumstances.

The cost of care at Hammerwich is by no means the cheapest on the market but for us was worth every penny.

I am extremely pleased with the care provided at Hammerwich Hall Care Home. Unfortunately, my Father passed away while my mother was in your home. You were very understanding and caring to my Mother and indeed the rest of the family when they came to visit. All staff are excellent, giving care and support when needed without any hesitation. My mother has settled really well and is now socialising with encouragement from staff and beginning to join in with the varied activities provided. Thank you.

Have found this home to be very friendly, quiet and clean. We visit every week and are welcomed by the manager and resident staff. Activities keep the patients occupied and the menus look good and variable. We are treated to a cup of coffee and biscuits which makes our visit more enjoyable. We are looking forward to the Summer months and maybe spending time in the garden grounds. Parking is easy and convenient.

Just before Christmas, we were seeking urgent respite for my mother. We arrived unannounced at Hammerwich Hall at 8pm in the evening for a viewing. As soon as we stepped into the beautiful hallway we knew that we had found a lovely, warm, welcoming, clean home. Both staff and residents were friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate. Circumstances have dictated that my mother is still there three months later. Throughout that period we have not had one cause for complaint or concern. This home is a real gem.

Dad has lived at Hammerwich Hall for over seven years and we are very happy with the overall standard of his care and believe his needs are met at the Hall. He is treated with respect by the staff who refer to him by name. If he has any medical issues, they are dealt with quickly and we are informed of any problems which might arise. Dad is happy in his room and just uses it to sleep, he prefers to sit in one of the lounges where he enjoys joining in with activities such as Communion services, Bingo and other activities put on by the Activities Manager. Dad’s room is kept clean and tidy and we are informed if he is in need of any particular toiletries or clothing on a regular basis. Dad enjoys the food and always has a choice of where and what he eats. If any issues arise, they are dealt with very quickly and the Hall manager responds quickly to emails and sends minutes out of meetings regularly.

My mother-in-law has made a big improvement since moving into care at Hammerwich Hall. She seems more alert and appears to be happy to take part in activities going on in the home, which can only be down to the good care from all the staff. She is able to move around the home safely as her room is on the ground floor. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.
