A happy, well run, caring community has evolved over the past months. It is a delight to visit our mother here and we are always made welcome. Any medical issues are swiftly dealt with and relevant medical professionals are involved when necessary. Thank you to all Hilderstone Hall staff!

It was a big relief to know that my mother was in safe hands
Thank you for taking the time to make this comment, we were very happy to be able to help you when you needed us most.
My aunt has been in Hilderstone Hall for 8 years. In this time, she has always been looked after and happy. We have seen many changes in this time but I think the home is at its best now. The staff are all excellent, they are trained and have got to know my aunts needs extremely well.
Thank you for your review, this is excellent feedback for the staff, they are all very caring and supportive of residents and to each other.
Extremely happy with the service and care given to my aunt. The home is welcoming and friendly and the staff are very attentive to users needs. After viewing many other care homes, Hilderstone Hall stood out from them all.
Thank you for your kind words. They are very much appreciated.
I have had a long association with Barchester Hilderstone Hall through 3 of my relatives having received care.
I am extremely satisfied and grateful to the all of the staff, who have made this association a pleasant one for myself and my relatives.
Individual needs are met fully, thereby ensuring that the best possible service of care is afforded to the residents.
My relatives have always been shown courtesy, compassion and respect for their particular situation. Above all, they have had their dignity assured.
The staff conduct their duties selflessy and with a noticeable pride.
As the registered Next of Kin, I am always kept informed of situations concerning my relatives as they arise; and am offered advice and guidance as to the course of action available to me if necessary.
Thank you for your lovely kind words. I will ensure that your information is shared with the staff within Hilderstone Hall.
Dad was a resident here for the last seven weeks of his life. The staff treated him and our family with great kindness. Dad and I appreciated the availability of the piano in Memory Lane - he much enjoyed hearing it played. Dad could not have been better cared for. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely words, it was a pleasure to know you and to care for your dad.
They were always very kind and caring. Staff made an effort to get to know him and his likes and dislikes which meant they could personalise his care. I often visited with my children, all the staff were extremely welcoming and kind to them which helped a lot.
Thank you for your kind words, Kerry, I will ensure that your comments are shared with our team.
It was a pleasurable experience.
Thank you for your review, we will share this with the team.
Staff all in departments are caring, helpful, polite, understanding and patient, nothing is too much trouble. Accommodation is excellent. Other rooms - dining, lounge etc are light, airy comfy and if I ever need a full-time care home, I would apply to live at Barchester Hilderstone Hall.
Thank you so much for your review Dougie, we really enjoyed meeting you and sharing our home with you.
My wife arrived here in a very poorly condition. She has been cared for in a very loving and professional way. The staff have all been very welcoming and friendly. The whole experience at the home has been beyond every expectation.
Many thanks for this review, it's always nice to hear we're doing a good job, I'll make sure the staff are aware of your comments.
I came to Hilderstone Hall (my second stay) after surgery to recuperate, suffering shock effects from a drip administered in hospital where I had to return suddenly for several days. The staff at Hilderstone Hall were very kind and understanding dealing with eating difficulties (effects of drip) that slowed my recovery. Also, always cheerful, friendly and willing to help from management to all levels. I am very grateful to them all.
Thank you for your comments, we hope that you are settling back in at home. We are so happy to have been able to help you. Take care.
The care attention and affection our mother received while she was with you, was second to none. We could not have expected or wanted better or more.
Thank you Christine for taking the time to complete such a lovely review. I am sure that I can speak for the staff when I say that this is much appreciated.
Unbelievably friendly, caring and attentive. Proven by the fact that your relative is very settled and very happy.
Kind Regards, General Manager
Dad had a lovely and dignified 'send off' with staff and some residents paying respects.
A lovely buffet was provided afterwards with staff giving me great warmth and support.
A marvellous team.
Thank you for taking time to make your great comments at such an emotional time for you. Your kind words are much appreciated, your dad was a lovely gentleman and is fondly remembered. Best wishes, General Manager.
A beautiful place in a stunning tranquil setting, Perfect for respite care. I can see there are on-going renovations being done at the moment but what has already been done is homely and unlike what you expect for a care home. All the staff that I met were friendly and could not do enough for you.
An outstanding place that I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Thank you Debbie for your kind words. We continue to work hard here at Hilderstone Hall to ensure that our residents and their family and friends have an enjoyable experience.
Please keep it up. Thank you.
Staff and management are always lovely.
Kind Regards,
I was so pleased to see the residents treated with the utmost respect, care and dignity.
The welcome provided by the admin officer was faultless - polite, helpful, cheerful and very welcoming. A great advocate and representative of Hilderstone Hall. The home was bright, clean and welcoming and all the staff were approachable and kind.
In process of a refurb but looks promising.
Warm reception.
Hilderstone Hall was undergoing extensive renovations when I visited. Despite this, the staff ensured a happy

Meet the Team (7)

Hello, I'm Charlotte, the Acting General Manager at Hilderstone Hall.
I joined the home in early 2024, initially as a Bank Nurse before progressing into the post of Deputy Manager and now acting General Manager. I had previously visited Hilderstone Hall when working for the NHS as a Community Nurse and Practice Nurse, and I was delighted to have the opportunity to work here. The home is stunning. I was drawn to the beautiful countryside setting, and the residents and staff here are remarkable.
I am a Registered General Nurse and have additional qualifications alongside my nursing degree in disease management, specialising in diabetes and respiratory conditions. I am passionate about encouraging and promoting high standards for the delivery of person-centred, holistic care.
Outside of work, I am kept busy with my family, my two pooches, and I am a lover of holidays – I always make sure the next one is in the planning!
I look forward to welcoming you and your family to Hilderstone. The team and I are always here to help.

Hello, my name is Carrie, I have been in the care sector as a Home Administrator since 2006.
I joined Hilderstone Hall in April 2023, with a wealth of experience in administration roles including completing a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
My duties are the day-to-day running of the home, payroll, invoicing and contracts. I enjoy meeting and greeting relatives, residents and professionals, making time for everyone as I have an open-door policy.
The staff at Hilderstone Hall are all very welcoming and strive to give the best possible care which I am very proud to be a part of.

Hi, my name is Tania Lane, I joined Barchester in 2016. I started as a housekeeper and worked my way up to the position of Head Housekeeper. I take great pride in my work, I am so happy when residents really like how their rooms look and feel. I also love to talk to the residents while I’m cleaning their rooms. I aim to help residents remain as independent as possible. I also especially enjoy facilitating new families and future residents' show-around so that they can experience the home before moving in.

Hi, my name is Lyle and I joined the team at Hilderstone Hall in 2022 as Head of Maintenance.
Most of all I love the interaction and variety my role provides and I feel privileged to be able to make a difference in people’s lives by ensuring their home is maintained and presented to a high standard. Before joining the Hilderstone team, I worked in the theatre world.

Hi, my name is Cheznath and I am a Registered Nurse here at Hilderstone Hall.

Hi, my name is Brenda. I have worked at Hilderstone Hall for 2 and a half years on memory lane. I have worked in the care industry for 30 years in a range of different sectors. My hobbies include gardening, which I encourage the residents every year to plant seeds and grow veg. I also enjoy sewing, making bags, and aprons and attending local craft fairs. I have 3 grown-up children and many grandchildren.

Hi, my name is Joanne and I joined the home in 2014. Within my role as a Hospitality Host, I strive to create a stimulating environment for our residents so that we can give them the all-round care and support they deserve.
We want our homes to be warm and welcoming with interesting events and first-class hospitality. As a Hospitality Host, we have an important part to play in making sure that happens. In particular, we provide a friendly, engaging and helpful service in our dining room and bar areas. It’s a fulfilling role that will give me a real opportunity to enhance the lives of all our residents and one which I enjoy!
