Rider House Nursing Home

A very pleasant place to visit, staff are always very helpful, CJ is always very happy and content. Everywhere is clean and tidy and operational. If ever I have to go into a home this is the one I would choose.

The care by everyone is absolutely first class its a lovely family feeling and atmosphere where we feel totally relaxed but we know there is someone to ask if we've got any concerns at all. The home itself is immaculate again testament to all concerned.

All communication with Rider House has been excellent, prompt and clear. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and all of the team are helpful and have a very positive attitude, we are being cared for and welcomed as a family which is very reassuring. Excellent hygiene standards throughout. Hands on management with clear focus on resident needs. All promises have been kept and nothing is too much trouble for the hard working team. We feel very supported at a difficult time and are very grateful to everyone at Rider House.

Every time I visit my mum which isnt as often as I would like as I dont live nearby. I am always met by friendly, helpful staff who's kindness and care is shown throughout their dealings with the residents and their colleagues. I am always impressed with all services supplied and I gain extra insight when im not visiting, through Rider House's Facebook page. I look forward to seeing what the residents are up to and take delight seeing the end results of their activities. Amanda, the manager, as well as the other staff will always take time out if I have any questions and never make me feel that I am taking up their time. I am so impressed with the working relationships betweem the staff, residents and families and its a joy to see my mum so settled, relaxed and happy within this environment which is now her home #1stclass #ahappyplace

Rider house is ideal for recuperating from an injury or operation in my opinion.

Everyone is very good, kind and helpful. Cleanliness is excellent, they even wash the floor every day. And the laundry is excellent if I put something out in the morning it comes back the same day. They come quickly when you press the button.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They look after my Father very well and he has been so much better being here.

The food looks good and I have seen staff helping to feed Mum.

My Mum hasn’t been the easiest of residents but Rider House (and particularly the manager) have been very patient in settling her in and making her feel at home. We are very happy with the care she receives.

Most importantly is the care and kindness shown by the staff. Nursing care has always been of a professional standard. The room occupied by my brother is small and basic but clean and well-kept.

Rider House took my sister in as an emergency. I was apprehensive at first as my sister has complex needs. It was easy to see that the home is well-run and has a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming and so caring in the way my sister has been looked after. I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful home. We hope to see them all again in the not-too-distant future.

I worked in care for 14 years, I've been to lots of care homes and have been very concerned over the years. Rider House Nursing Home is a really lovely place from my mum, everyone is supportive and caring. I can visit and call and ask about Mum, always a positive response. I've seen exceptional patience towards my mum and other residents their webpage always shows us the activities they do, Mum has settled. She shows no sign of distress which was paramount at home, great place for Mum 10/10.

The care home provides excellent service. Residents are well cared for by all the staff. Rooms are really fun lovely and they all have their own personal touches.

Our sister came to you earlier in the year, having moved from a care home because of medical issues. She was having lots of problems previously, with mental health too. All of the issues have gone. She is happier and settled, and her quality of life has 100% improved. We can't tell you what this means to us, relief, yes, both just that, the care and love all of your staff give us superb. Whenever we visit, our sister has her beautiful clothes., matched with her jewellery, which for her and us is so important. Alwats that extra mile. Thank you all so very much.

Our sister moved to Ryder House in April 23, and the care, support and love we have experienced have been amazing. The whole team maintains very high standards and is always friendly and supportive. The manager keeps us all really informed of any care plan changes. We are included in all decision-making, and so is our sister. Their priority is to ensure their residents have a warm, loving environment and maintain their dignity and some control over their lives, which is so important. Thank you.

My sister moved to Rider House in April 23. This was the best decision we as a family have made. She needs full-time care because of her progressive MS. Since moving from her previous care facility, we have noticed a major change in her moods; she has been encouraged to join in activities which she didn’t do before and is very happy and settled. The staff are all very caring and helped her settle in, and the staffing doesn’t change much, so she knows who is looking after her, which she finds very reassuring. The manager runs a tight ship, and it shows. She's always clean and well dressed, even down to matching jewellery for her outfits. Fantastic - cannot fault you in any way.
