Staff are kind and friendly, they know the residents well and their needs. Residents are treated with respect. Staff work hard. The home seems to be short-staffed at times. Communication with family could be better at times.
Reply from Honor Keatley, Managing Director at Treetops Court Care HomeMany thanks for writing a review. It's essential that we have constructive feedback to help move forward - I will speak to the home about staffing and communication. Thank you also for your lovely comments about the team members.

I am impressed with the service my mother receives. I have rated all as good or excellent except for 'Value for Money' as I think for the cost, which is certainly not cheap, I would expect a very good service to my mother. That said, the staff, management and activities are of a very high standard.
Reply from Honor Keatley, Managing Director at Treetops Court Care HomeMany thanks for taking the time to write a review. It's great to read that you are impressed by the service provided and the high standard of staff. The cost of care is often a topic of conversation for all of us in the care industry but we do try to ensure that the cost is appropriate for the service provided.

Treetops is an effective care home. My mum is safe and properly looked after. She has continual needs and the staff have shown diligence and kindness, not to mention patience and caring for her.
If I have any critisms they would concern the lack of activity and entertainment (residents often seem bored)
and the food, which is plentiful and meets dietary requirements but lacks the occasional x-factor.
Reply from Honor Keatley, Managing Director at Treetops Court Care HomeMany thanks for your review. It is always helpful to have feedback that both identifies areas where we do well and also areas for us to work on. I look forward to hearing that the activities and food soon both have the 'x-factor'.

Lovely staff, highly recommend. Exceptional care for my grandad during end of life. Very accommodating to the family during this difficult time - looked after not only my grandad's needs but the family too. The view from my grandad's bedroom was lovely and the bedroom was beautiful and clean. Thank
you to all the staff.

We cannot speak highly enough of Treetops Care Home. The care that our grandad has received in his final days of life has been absolutely outstanding. The care and compassion shown has been amazing both to grandad and to ourselves his loved ones and has made this difficult upsetting time as stress-free
as possible and we as a family cannot thank each and every member of staff enough. You have made grandad's final days so comfortable and have been attentive and compassionate and respectful to his every need. Thank you to each and every person that has been involved in grandad's care from the bottom of our hearts.

My mum was in this care home for almost 12 months and during that time I have not found the need to complain. A well-run home with wonderful, caring staff in lovely surroundings.

My mum has now passed away but the amazing, dignified care extended to not only Mum but also myself was outstanding and

comforting. A credit to all.

My Aunt, after several weeks in hospital, was admitted to Treetops for only 9 days before she passed away.
Treetops is in a lovely setting.
From the reception area to the dining room to the communal areas - all are fresh and bright and the reception area is very welcoming.
The bedroom was nicely
furnished in a modern, bright way, with a lovely view of the garden.
All staff were extremely helpful, caring both to my Aunt and to our family.
My Aunt was always treated with great respect in a very dignified way.
Thank you Treetops!
For those who are able, the food is home cooked and a wide entertainment offered.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.213)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.213) out of 10 for Treetops Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.652 for Treetops Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 141 Ratings = 4.652
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.561 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Treetops Court Care Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14. 11 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.786
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
