My brother was admitted to the home as 'end of life' unfortunately. During his short stay, from the manager, nurses, care workers, kitchen staff and maintenance workers, their care and compassion was second to none.
Reply from Alison Foreman, Commercial Director at Treetops Court Care HomeThank you for your review. Your kind comments are much appreciated as everyone in the home works hard to ensure that only the best of care is delivered to residents, no matter the circumstances. Kind regards.

I have been very impressed by the professional, attentive care and dignity shown to my brother by the nursing staff keeping him clean and as comfortable as possible.
The senior medical staff have kept me well informed on his ongoing medical condition and treatment.
His room is well appointed, equipped
and clean.
The dining room and lounge are spacious and comfortable.
The outdoor garden space is well kept with lovely sitting areas.
Although my brother is limited with his food, the catering staff try very hard to give him food he can enjoy.

Mum was admitted for 24/hr palliative care. The welcome and support offered to us as a family was second to none, nothing was too much trouble and staff were always available to talk to and gave their utmost to meet any needs or concerns we had.
Their professionalism shines through and the care given
by all staff. Domestic, caring and nursing were excellent. The admin lead and team were efficient and had all bases covered to ensure mum's paperwork was all in order. I can honestly say the calm, caring atmosphere is 5* well done.

The staff here are absolutely amazing! The care they show to the residents just shines. I’ve seen a couple of dementia homes and by far this is the best. They have a vast amount of human compassion and this is definitely a home I would recommend.

The staff were hands-on with the residents which I liked.

To celebrate my mum's final birthday the staff (particularly the chef) went to great lengths to facilitate a happy event. That night the skilled night manager noticed mum having breathing difficulties and called an ambulance. After a spell in hospital, mum returned to Treetops Court Care Home this time
on the nursing wing.
A state of the art pressure monitoring bed was ordered for her and arrived promptly. The care mum received was exemplary and I would recommend Treetops to anyone. The staff were amazing, skilled, professional, caring and kind.
The lighting in mum's room was initially too harsh - just a single light hanging from the ceiling in the centre of the room. Mum was forced to stare up at it as she lay on her back dying. However, when I mentioned this to the staff, they produced a lamp immediately which was plugged in. We were able to switch off the blinding central light and have soft lamp light as befits a bedroom. It is my belief that all rooms should have a soft lamp as a standard comfort.
They looked after my family and me as well as they looked after mum.
The flow of tea and biscuits really helped. The night-manager called us at 7 am to ask us to come to mum's bedside quickly showed that she had great skill. Mum died at 8 am and we were all with her, thanks to the night manager. We are indebted to her.
Reply from Alison Foreman, Commercial Director at Treetops Court Care HomeMany thanks for taking the time and trouble to share the positive and caring comments regarding the care of your mother at Tree Tops Court Care Home. It is so touching to read that you valued the input of the staff team so highly and I am sure that once your comments are shared with them, they will be moved as well. Just picking up your point about lighting, bedside lights are available in most rooms but in some instances replaced with residents own to make rooms more personalised. I will be sure to ask the Home Manager to check that all rooms have bedside lights and should they have been removed at the resident request, they are replaced at an appropriate opportunity. Many thanks again for your wonderful review of care and services. Kind regards and condolences to you and your family.

My mother spent the last six months of her life in Treetops Court. I cannot praise the care given to her enough. She received kindness as well as medical care and nothing was too much trouble. The staff made us feel welcome at all times too. I would recommend this care home to anybody looking to place

It has been a tough few months for the care home but throughout the staff have maintained their professionalism and gone above and beyond. The nursing staff, care workers and managers all need the recognition that they do a great job, it's a tough job but rewarding. Their motto is 'treat the patients
with the care and respect you would like to receive yourself'.

I have a relative in Treetops Court the age of 92 years with terminal cancer. This made him very angry and not a happy chappie but the staff never got upset with him, talked to him kindly. He refused food and drink, staff did the best to encourage him to eat and drink. He was always shaved by staff
and had clean clothing. Whatever he asked of them they were obliging.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.213)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.213) out of 10 for Treetops Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.652 for Treetops Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 141 Ratings = 4.652
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.561 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Treetops Court Care Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14. 11 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.786
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
