My uncle has been in the nursing side of the home for a number of years now and i am truly grateful for all the love and care he is given . I honestly do not think he could be in a better place.
Recently he was taken poorly with pneumonia and the quick response from the nursing team got him to hospital promptly and treated .
He returned to his care home to be continued to be looked after by all the wonderful staff. I cant thank them enough for making my uncle feel safe , loved and cared for.
The staff know him and take time to speak to him even though he can not now communicate very well at all.
I absolutely wouldnt want him to be anywhere else .
Thank you very much for such lovely feedback, it is a pleasure to support your uncle.
She enjoys the food and eats well. Drinks are readily available.
The doctor goes in every week and residents can see them if necessary.
There is some sort of activity or entertainment daily if the residents can be persuaded to join in. The Carers are loving and respectful to my Mum.
Her room could be better equipped ie nicer curtains and bedlinen. As the building is so old its also quirky and sometimes the heating and hot water doesnt reach certain parts. However the staff do everything to make this work and Mum seems happy and comfortable in her room as far as Im aware. Only issue is if the lift breaks, which has done several times during Mums stay. The home should have priority call out for repairs, this is not the homes fault however.
Overall we are very happy and grateful with the care given here.
Thank you for your positive comments in respect to your mother's care during the four years she has lived in the home. I will discuss the decor of your mothers room with the Regional Support Manager who is currently overseeing the day to day management of the home in the managers absence. In...
The staff at Springfield House are always very welcoming when we visit my mother. They are very kind to my mom and understand her needs. They provide foods that she requests (and she does have some unusual requests). My mom has settled in well and is well looked after.
We are so pleased your mother has settled in well and the staff make you feel welcome when you are visiting. The Cooks will always try to cater for everyone's tastes so we are pleased your mother is receiving the food she particularly likes. We will ensure your comments are passed to the team in Springfield.
Love the way staff interact with my sister ball games music bingo lots of lovely things I would like to mention Louise she is so welcoming I love all the staff there but see Louise mostly thank you
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your sister is enjoying our activities, especially the ball games, music, and bingo. Our team strives to create a welcoming and engaging environment, and we will be sure to pass along your lovely comments to Louise-she will be so happy to hear that she has made such a positive impact.
The expense of the room she is using is draining on her finances. We would like to be considered for a smaller room with en-suite facilities if one becomes available.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about Springfield House. We are absolutely delighted to hear that J. is very happy with us and that you are satisfied with the care our team provides. I will be sure to pass along your compliments to our catering team as well; they will...
My Mum has been in Springfield House since May 2025. It has not been an easy time, due to Mums dementia but staff have strived to ensure that all Mums needs have been met and any problems have been addressed. Mum is treated with dignity and staff go above and beyond to help Mum and the other residents. There are activities daily and Mum has been involved and enjoyed these but it's her choice if she becomes involved. There have been external people visiting to entertain the residents and all residents are given the opportunity to join in . I've had good feed back from either people who have had residents in Springfield House or have experienced the home themselves, this was after Mum became a resident . I feel no worries or concerns regarding Mums care or leaving Mum as there is only me to visit and I cannot always get there ,but I know she is safe and cared for and I know I will be contacted if any changes occur or just to ensure I'm aware of what's taking place .
The facility is first class, staff very friendly and helpful. Everywhere very clean and tidy. Would recommend to everyone who requires the service.
Thank you so much for your feedback we are so pleased you would recommend the home and you have found the staff helpful and friendly, we will ensure this is passed on to the team.
A wonderful caring facility where the staff are a credit to the profession. Our family member was treated with absolute dignity up to the very end and we couldn't have asked for any more.
Thank you so much. I will pass on to all of the team.
My mum spent the last six months of her life at Springfield House, I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received from the first day the staff showed exceptional professionalism, compassion and respect. Both to mum and my family, the dignity and kindness was overwhelming and so gratefully appreciated. My mum genuinely enjoyed her time there. I am sincerely grateful to everyone at Springfield House.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It was a real pleasure to have mom with us. She was a lovely lady and we all miss her very much
I have been well looked after with staff ensuring that I am clean and tidy. Staff will always check and support my comfort when required.

Thank you for looking after her.
Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a pleasure to have her with us and meet all of you. It was a shame that she was only with us for a short period of time. I hope that you and the family ae all ok. You are welcome to come back and visit when the time is right for you all.
My aunty had been at the home for about 6 years and all the time she was treated with respect and dignity. We were kept informed of any issues and always felt welcomed when we visited. Her needs were all taken care of and I was more than happy with the care and nursing she received during her time there.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I am pleased to hear that you were happy with the care she was given. We will all miss her. Our thoughts are with you and the family. You are more than welcome to come and visit when the time is right for you and the family.
My expeince with my mother is very good and the home is very good with my mum. Food is good and her room is very good and tidy.

My uncle came to Springfield House for end of life care on Christmas Eve from hospital. The care given to him and support to not only him but me as next of kin has been incredible. Every step of dignity was given during his stay here was done with care and compassion right up to the end. From management, nurses, care team and excellent communication, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Springfield House.
Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments. I am pleased to hear that you were happy with the care given. I will pass on to the rest of the team.
Highly recommended. Professional, caring, lovely, respectful, helpful, lovely people who cared for my mum during the final few months of her life. Also exceptionally caring to me and my wife during this psychically and emotionally challenging time. We will be forever grateful.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts at this difficult time. It sounds as though the team really did make a difference at a time you needed it most. With best wishes.
My husband was taken to Springfield House directly from the hospital for palliative care. It has been amazing. He had not been out of bed for 14 weeks, but he had only been there two days and they managed to hoist him into a wheelchair. We all sat outside with him and had a cup of coffee. It was such a lift for his spirits. Can't praise Springfield enough - his final days are going to be peaceful and cared for.
I am so happy to hear that you were happy with the care given. It was a privilege to have him even though it was for such a short time. Thoughts and best wishes to you and the family.
The guitarist playing for residents today was brilliant, not only was his playing very good but he interacted with residents who were clapping and tapping to the music. Everyone had a lovely time.
Thank you for the lovely comments. The entertainer is indeed very good and residents love him. He plays the first Tuesday of each month, free of charge on alternate sides. You are welcome to come along and join us on those days. He starts at 2.00 pm.
I appreciate so much what they are doing for my mom and all the love and support they are offering me.
Thank you.
Thank you for all of your lovely comments Jackie. I am happy to hear that you have been happy with the care that Mom has been receiving. I will pass on to all of the staff. Please let me know if you require any further assistance from the team.
My father has been a resident at Springfield House since April 2021. Since day one the team have been quite amazing. I am not going to say that everything is 100% perfect - I don't believe any place can be - it is true that in places the building needs investment but the ladies and gentlemen who make up the core care team are so kind, so caring, so patient, the standards set by the residential manager are exceptional and her team follow her lead. I would recommend Springfield wholeheartedly.
Thank you for your lovely comments about the staff at Springfield House being kind, caring and patient. I will make sure to pass your comments on to the staff team and the unit manager.
I can't praise the staff in the residential part of the care home enough! They have provided my aunt with a new lease of life and cared for her like a family member. The manager leads by example, a truly remarkable person!
Kind regards.
