My sister has been at Springfield now for over a year, set in beautiful gardens.
We can't thank the staff and events team enough for all they do from flower arranging and crafts to singers and alpacas visiting. Throughout lockdown, we have been updated with photos and phone calls, and she seems to be very happy with where she is.

Our family would like to say a big thank you to everyone who works there and for keeping all the residents safe.

I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful care home. My brother has been a resident for almost two years and he loves living here, he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

It is his birthday today and the whole team made such a fuss of him, despite being in lockdown, activities for the day were all planned around his love for Wolves football club - he was full of smiles and happiness. The manager and activities coordinator couldn’t be more helpful and they ensure the residents have many wonderful activities planned for them. All of the staff are friendly and caring, I know my brother is in safe hands.

My Brother has been living at Springfield for the past two years now. I cannot compliment this home enough, everything they’ve done for my brother is beyond what me and my family could have imagined when looking for a Care Home. My brother is in an environment where he is well cared for night and day. The activities team are incredible and do so much on a daily basis, even though the Home has been in lockdown; I’ve never felt closer to my brother. We’ve been taking part in virtual quizzes monthly through the home's Facebook page which has kept all the family having fun. Finally a massive thank you to all the carers and nurses who have kept my brother safe through the pandemic. Would recommend to all.

On 23rd March 2020, I had to leave mum at the door of Springfield House due to her health deteriorating. I was unable to go in with her due to COVID 19 restrictions, which I was so glad to hear were already in place. Mum was reluctant to be left but was greeted by a young lady who had the biggest welcoming smile I have ever seen and said she had been waiting for mum to arrive. Mum was soon out of the car and happy to leave me. I cannot thank the staff enough for the exceptional care and attention given to mum. Her health has improved so much thanks to the devotion of the staff. The staff are never too busy to give me an update over the phone to reassure my concerns, not that I need to be worried. Mum has told me how lovely the staff are and that the food is really good. She feels as if she is being spoilt every day and taking life there as a lovely holiday.

Everyone, here really deserves a huge thank you and I would not hesitate for a moment to highly recommend Springfield House.

Reply from Melanie Auckland, Director of Operations and Compliance at Springfield House

Thank you for your very kind words, we will ensure they are shared with the Care team. I am delighted that your Mum has settled into Springfield and that she is enjoying the food, the care and very importantly the attention.

It has been a very sad time. I visited regularly with friends son to enable him to get there more often. The staff were very caring and respectful. We were kept informed of all aspects of her care/condition. As a retired nurse, I have experience of such situations and can honestly say the standards of care and liaison with family was excellent. End of life care was 100%.

We were both quite low when we came into Springfield House but the staff were so kind and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. We quickly made friends with all the excellent, caring staff. The rooms are well equipped and the situation of the home amongst the beautiful grounds is a tonic in itself.

I was extremely disappointed with the standard of care I received during my stay. I feel very let down as when I initially visited this home I was assured that all my medical and care needs could be met i.e. help with injections as I am a diabetic, washing and dressing. I required this help whilst I recovered from an operation on my right hand. The whole experience turned out to be a shambles and not one I would wish to repeat.

This home is sensational. Didn’t know what to expect when my brother and I put Mum into care. Springfield House went above and beyond in every single area. Visiting every day, the staff become like a family to me and Mum. Everything is just so quiet and peaceful unlike some places I’ve heard of. The staff are all very friendly and you can tell they all enjoy working there. Mum has been very well looked after.

My father stayed at Springfield House Care Home on respite care for two weeks in October. I must say the home and the staff that work there are fantastic! We've tried respite care in a number of other homes around and Springfield is by far the best. Friendly staff members that really give great customer service. I had great peace of mind that my father was being looked after whilst me and my family were away.

Dad is unable to talk but can indicate yes/no and unable to move except for his left arm. Care was excellent, management and staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. Dad is unable to participate in most activities so this did not apply much to him. The food was good somedays but very basic others - but staff did ask residents if they would like something else cooked. The home did not have that 'old people' smell and the residents always looked clean and well turned out. A couple of criticisms are the music in the dining room could be more age related - such as Glenn Miller, Tony Bennett etc and the television in one room has a black stripe in the centre which makes it difficult to watch, particularly football.
