My thoughts and opinions of here are it's an excellent place. It is kept thoroughly clean and is also tidy, if there was a speck of dust it would be dusted. At mealtimes, the cooker is cleaned. The bedroom is kept very clean. I'm very happy.

Mum's care during her 18 month stay at the care home has been lovely. She has always been well looked after and has seemed happy. I would like to thank the staff for everything they have done for mum as she came to the end of her life. if was nice to know she was looked after so well.

This is the second time my elderly father has resided in Brindley Court Nursing Home, and I can unequivocally say that staff are excellent and go the extra mile to care for the residents. Their compassion, work ethic and kindness are second to none. Any small issues are always received in good faith
and acted on immediately, which is something even the NHS struggles to achieve. As a family, we are truly grateful to the manager and to all of the nursing and domestic teams who have cared so well for my father and have kept him safe during some difficult times and more lately, through the uncertainties of the covid-19 pandemic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brindley Court Nursing Home to other families seeking reassurance about a supportive and caring environment for their loved ones in their twilight years. Thank you all.

We are so pleased that we chose Brindley Court for our dads care. Obviously, with how things are at the moment, we haven't been able to see everything since Dad went in on January 15th. Once things allow, we can't wait to see Dad more occasionally. At least we have seen him now though. Special thanks
to the manager for helping with organising Dad going in, and also, for the professional way she acts. Thanks to all the staff for caring for Dad so well.

My dad only spent a short time in Brindley Court but the staff treated him like he was part of their family. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to visit so we did the skype calls. We will be forever grateful to all the staff but especially to the three staff members as I spoke to these beautiful ladies
on a regular basis. Keep doing what you do, you are all amazing and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Our family would like to send a huge thank you to all the staff at Brindley Court Care Home for the care and kindness that was shown to our mum whilst she was a resident here. Our mum was very happy and we couldn’t have asked for better care until she passed away in January of this year. Her room was
her own little sanctuary, it was clean and tidy and had everything that she needed. The food was excellent at all times and the staff were a joy to know, they were very kind to Mum and constantly saw to her every need. They were very good with families, and in our case, we got to know them more as friends than carers. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Thank you Brindley Court Care Home.

I would never have expected to have ended my days in a care home. I am disappointed at the lack of freedom that is experienced in this home although it seems necessary in a lot of cases. I am now settled in but do not feel comfortable although we are treated well.

Thank you for your review; we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you also for providing the Home Manager an opportunity to discuss your concerns with you. The current uncertain times of this Covid-19 pandemic have placed social restrictions on many of us, and this can be particularly disheartening for people who recently moved into a care home. Rest assured that when circumstances allow, our home based wellbeing co-ordinator and the Brindley Court Team will be planning trips out in our mini-bus and they will offer you the support you need to fulfil your aspirations.

Our father was cared for at Brindley Court, for a period of 18 months until he passed away in February 2020. In this time, the staff were fantastic to him, initially reassuring him, as he adjusted to his new surroundings. As time passed he saw his carers as friends, someone he could joke with, he felt
comfortable in the surroundings which gave his family great peace of mind. The facilities are good, the food on offer is decent, there are various daily activities organised. His family are happy with the choice we made and sincerely thank the staff and management of Brindley Court.

Mum was cared for in Brindley Court in the last six weeks of her life. She was always shown care and consideration, even at her weakest moments. We will always be immensely grateful to the staff. The lounges and her room were impeccably clean and well furnished. Mum often commented that she felt she
was in a hotel. Everyone was always welcoming and cheerful.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.265)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.265) out of 10 for Brindley Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.892 for Brindley Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (74 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.892
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.373 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brindley Court Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 registered maximum number of service users is 10.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.673
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
