Staff seem very friendly, clean home, well fed. Although I don't feel the residents go out into the fresh air enough, particularly in summer. Also not enough singers come into the home.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased you find the home clean, friendly and our people well fed. We hold a monthly Resident and Relative meeting which we would love you to attend to discuss your ideas for activities.
My mum has been in Chatsworth Lodge Care Home for 6 months and has settled really well. The staff has been a major part of why she is settled, they have been lovely and very caring.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will be sure to pass this on to the team in the home. It is always our pleasure.
Mum was in Chatsworth Lodge for short-term rehabilitation. She was well looked after by the excellent staff who were friendly, caring and accommodating. We felt that mum was safe and she became much stronger and able to return to living independently.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is always a pleasure to help someone to be able to return home through rehabilitation.
Home was very clean and bright. Staff were always very kind and patient understanding and cheerful. Sarah was very helpful with my mother's issue with wound care & dressing. Meals were nicely presented and home cooked and plenty of choice and variety. Senior staff and managers very helpful and knowledgeable and always had much appreciated advice.
Sarah will be especially thrilled to have been mentioned...
My wife was in care at this care home from 03/09/2025 to 20/10/2025. During this time I felt she was looked after very well, hence my high ratings. Would definitely use this facility again.
Thank you for your kind review of our home. It was a pleasure to care for your wife, and we are pleased you had a positive experience in the home. We are looking forward to welcoming back for a short stay in December.
The security is excellent to ensure the residents are all taken care of.
The food is top quality and always choices for a variable diet.
I will pass your comments on to the team at the home.
Care has been prompt, kind and appropriate, especially when she was ill.
Thank you for your kind review of the home. We are pleased you have found the home to be understanding, prompt, kind, and appropriate. We will cascade your review to the team. It really spurs us on to know we are appreciated.
On all my visits to my sister, she's been fine and happy. The staff are attentive when needed. They go beyond even when I come, I'm made welcome and fed.
Thank you for your kind words. we love making a difference to the lives of people who live in our home and their loved ones.
Very well looked after, happy, good food and staff very nice. Everything is clean. Really happy with everything. Auntie has no complaints.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are pleased that you and your Aunt are happy with the service provided.
My mum is very well looked after and we are very happy with the care she receives. Although security is very important, sometimes we find it difficult to get in and out of the nursing home. My mum has a room downstairs and sometimes, although we know staff are always busy. We struggle to get out of the security door and when upstairs we have to wait to get out of the main door.
All in all a lovely atmosphere at this home.
Always a nice welcome from staff, residents are cared for and given attention. Communal areas are not over crowded. Residents are allowed to sit where they like. There are no lingering smells and residents are clean.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It's lovely to know that the hard work staff put in to create a welcoming, caring, and clean environment is acknowledged and appreciated.
Mum only moved into the home on 16th December 2024. She seems to have settled well. The room is spacious and clean (bedroom). Staff have been helpful and welcoming. The care home is clean, tastefully decorated and a welcoming environment.
Thank you for leaving such a positive review. We work hard to ensure we deliver the care people deserve.
Dad is cared for very well by Chatsworth Lodge Care Home. The manager is a very good manager and getting the staff organised.
Thank you for your review. We take pride in delivering a great service to the people in our home.
All the staff have been really welcoming, friendly and helpful. I can tell they genuinely care about the residents. Nanna seems really happy here and it puts all our minds at ease.
Thank you for your kind words. It's a pleasure and a privilege to be able to do what we do for people in our care.
The care and attention is excellent. The staff are friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and always a choice. Residents are treated with dignity. There is always a range of activities where residents can be involved as much as they want. We have no worries about the care my mother receives.
This is such a lovely review to receive. Thank you so much for your kind words. Our staff do work very hard to deliver the care and support that our people need and deserve. It's lovely to know that our hard work is acknowledged and appreciated.
My sister was a resident of Chatsworth Lodge Care Home for two years. Throughout that time, she was treated with care, dignity and respect. Although her initial reaction to going into a care home was one of the great reluctance, she was made to feel welcome, safe and secure. She often said she loved being there and the entire family are grateful for the dedicated care she received in her time in the home, many thanks.
Neglected my dad after being in respite, my dad was not showered or bathed for a month. My dad had a water infection the first week and was treated twice but not administered antibiotics correctly and completely. I had to alert the managers three times about my dad's urine being dark. They ignored my concerns and made excuses to why they couldn't get a water sample I got the sample twice myself. With delays in his care needs and basic fluids my dad came home and had emergency care ambulance for dehydration and check for sepsis. My dads dementia has deteriorated and delirium has been ongoing since. Stay was from September 17th until 7th November. Paracetamol wasn't given when clearly unwell. GP prescribed it, they wouldn't give it because dad's temperature had come down after I gave him my paracetamol, and the same day the GP prescribed them. They just didn't seem concerned at all. Poor medication administration and lack of consistency with care. Food poor, no fruit, small portions.
This was Mum's first experience of respite care which was on the whole pretty good. The care home manager was brilliant in welcoming Mum and was always willing to answer any questions. The staff were mostly friendly, my only issue was it sometimes took a while to take Mum to the toilet when she needed it but I understand that there were lots of other residents to look after too. Overall a good experience.
First impressions count and from when I first viewed the home I was not disappointed. It's always been my Mum's worst nightmare to go into a home but she's brighter, no longer lonely, joins in or watches activities, and has even been taken out to the local supermarket shopping. The rooms are bright, the lounge is arranged with groups of seating areas (not in one big circle) and the conservatory and garden are a bonus. The best compliment is to all the staff simply amazing. Nothing is too much trouble - definitely the home's best asset.

Meet the Team (2)

I’m an experienced Home Manager with over 14 years in the health and social care sector. I’m passionate about providing outstanding, person-centred care for older people, particularly those living with dementia. I believe every resident has a unique story, and I’m committed to ensuring the care they receive reflects their wishes, dignity and individuality. My focus is on creating a warm, welcoming home where residents thrive, families feel reassured, and colleagues are empowered to deliver compassionate, high-quality care every day.

I am a dedicated Deputy Manager at Chatsworth Lodge with a strong passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care. My journey into social care began with an ambition to pursue midwifery, which sparked my commitment to supporting others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Starting my career as a Care Assistant, I have progressed into a management role, gaining valuable experience in leadership, team development, and delivering outstanding care standards. I am committed to creating a supportive environment for both residents and staff, ensuring dignity, respect, and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
As a mother of five, I bring empathy, patience, and strong family values into my professional life. I understand the importance of building trust, nurturing relationships, and treating every individual with the same compassion I would expect for my own family.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly exploring the Peak District. I am also passionate about fundraising and personal challenges to support meaningful causes. I have completed a skydive to raise awareness for brain injury and aim to take on a wing walk in the future to continue making a difference.
