I can't praise you enough. The moment I walked in, I knew my mum was in safe, caring hands. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Staff engaged the residents well and were always upbeat, lifting the spirits of the residents and their relatives. I have always been made welcome and would have been very
happy to see mum stay here long term.

My father in law moved to Chatsworth Lodge a year ago after a batch of ill health. He is not able to move around on his own anymore so living here has given him the constant safety and security he now needs with care staff on hand to attend to his needs including personal hygiene and washing clothes.
The day accommodation is warm, bright and airy. He is not able to join in with some of the entertainment arranged but the TV areas and hustle and bustle of activities help to create a homely (not alone) feel. Meals are regular, ample and well presented. Night time accommodation is comfortable with many additional safety features introduced to counteract his nocturnal activities as he has the propensity to fall out of bed. The home reliably manages prescribed drugs and ensures medical attention is provided. It has given me peace of mind knowing he is in a place of safety during this difficult time of his life.

The staff are friendly and caring with good efforts of communication to residents. The cooks ask what meal is requested individually to the residents. But staffing levels or just haste to get people up means skin creams and sometimes teeth cleaning do not happen. A good atmosphere.
Issues:-
Hearing
aids can be lost and found days later.
Clothes/toiletries are lost eg a named coat.
Chiropodist infrequent.
Laundry - clothes returned to the wrong room.

I visit the home every week. I feel like I know everyone there. The staff are very very friendly. If I want anything at all, it is never too much trouble for them. Staff are very good with the residents.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful. My uncle is not a fan of loud TVs having reasonable hearing himself. Also, not a fan of group activities although I can see the benefit amongst other residents.

My aunty has been in Chatsworth Lodge for one month so it is early days to have witnessed 'across the board' but I can say the staff are all excellent and caring and welcoming to all visitors and the care my aunt has received has been very good so far. The other residents all appear happy and well looked
after.

Mum is clean and very well cared for. Residency always smells fresh and clean food is tasty, nourishing, well presented and the homemade cakes, soups delicious sandwiches etc. Visitors invited to eat with residents, I love the various areas encouraging interaction with others. All tastefully decorated.
Mum says "I love the staff and they love me" I can see why she says that as from the management, carers and kitchen staff are wonderful.

Chatsworth Lodge Care Home is a very homely place. I visit my relative regularly and am welcomed by staff and the manager.
Since the new manager has been in post, the home has grown with her, her vibrance is infectious. So glad to hear CQC gave them five Goods. Well done to you all.

When entering the home, I was greeted by the manager, who gave me a real warm welcome and was able to answer any questions I had about my relative.


The home is wonderful and offers a home from home experience and would recommend to anyone.

My father went into Chatsworth Lodge for a weeks respite and I cannot praise them enough. They were brilliant. The staff are happy and smiley talking to the residents and making sure they are Ok at all times. The place is clean, no old people home smells and good home cooked meals. Dad does not like
going away from home but I need a break now and then. He liked it there and is keen to go in again which says a lot. The manager is busy but always has time for you, she is a credit to Chatsworth Lodge. Thank you to all the staff, they are wonderful.

I think Chatsworth Lodge is a lovely, warm and wonderful home where they look after my mum and make sure all her needs are catered for and she is treated with dignity and respect.

I am a dedicated Deputy Manager at Chatsworth Lodge with a strong passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care. My journey into social care began with an ambition to pursue midwifery, which sparked my commitment to supporting others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.


Starting my career as a Care Assistant, I have progressed into a management role, gaining valuable experience in leadership, team development, and delivering outstanding care standards. I am committed to creating a supportive environment for both residents and staff, ensuring dignity, respect, and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.


As a mother of five, I bring empathy, patience, and strong family values into my professional life. I understand the importance of building trust, nurturing relationships, and treating every individual with the same compassion I would expect for my own family.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly exploring the Peak District. I am also passionate about fundraising and personal challenges to support meaningful causes. I have completed a skydive to raise awareness for brain injury and aim to take on a wing walk in the future to continue making a difference.
