I visit the home every week. I feel like I know everyone there. The staff are very very friendly. If I want anything at all, it is never too much trouble for them. Staff are very good with the residents.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful. My uncle is not a fan of loud TVs having reasonable hearing himself. Also, not a fan of group activities although I can see the benefit amongst other residents.

My aunty has been in Chatsworth Lodge for one month so it is early days to have witnessed 'across the board' but I can say the staff are all excellent and caring and welcoming to all visitors and the care my aunt has received has been very good so far. The other residents all appear happy and well looked
after.

Mum is clean and very well cared for. Residency always smells fresh and clean food is tasty, nourishing, well presented and the homemade cakes, soups delicious sandwiches etc. Visitors invited to eat with residents, I love the various areas encouraging interaction with others. All tastefully decorated.
Mum says "I love the staff and they love me" I can see why she says that as from the management, carers and kitchen staff are wonderful.

Chatsworth Lodge Care Home is a very homely place. I visit my relative regularly and am welcomed by staff and the manager.
Since the new manager has been in post, the home has grown with her, her vibrance is infectious. So glad to hear CQC gave them five Goods. Well done to you all.

When entering the home, I was greeted by the manager, who gave me a real warm welcome and was able to answer any questions I had about my relative.


The home is wonderful and offers a home from home experience and would recommend to anyone.

My father went into Chatsworth Lodge for a weeks respite and I cannot praise them enough. They were brilliant. The staff are happy and smiley talking to the residents and making sure they are Ok at all times. The place is clean, no old people home smells and good home cooked meals. Dad does not like
going away from home but I need a break now and then. He liked it there and is keen to go in again which says a lot. The manager is busy but always has time for you, she is a credit to Chatsworth Lodge. Thank you to all the staff, they are wonderful.

I think Chatsworth Lodge is a lovely, warm and wonderful home where they look after my mum and make sure all her needs are catered for and she is treated with dignity and respect.

Hello! My name is Zenka Shires, and I'm the Home Manager at Chatsworth Lodge Care Home in Chesterfield.


I've worked in care for over 25 years, and have the experience of working my way up from being a Care Assistant, to Senior Care Assistant, and through to the Management levels since joining Chatsworth Lodge in 1995.


Chatsworth Lodge holds a special place in my heart, and our friendly team are here to make your loved ones feel comfortable, safe and happy. Come by and say hi anytime!
