Chatsworth Lodge Care Home

Chatsworth Lodge Care Home became Dad's home three years ago and we could not have wished for better care in his final years. The staff have all been excellent and looked after him with amazing care. We know that Dad enjoyed his time here. The tender care that was shown to Dad and us in his final days was exemplary.

My mum has recently moved into Chatsworth Lodge Care Home and to say she didn't want to go in was an understatement. From the minute she went into the home she was greeted by management and staff and was made to feel very welcome. Mum has settled into the home now and is loving it. She loves the staff and the banter they have looking at them as more like family. The staff cannot do enough and nothing is too much trouble. They are very friendly and caring and the management keeps us informed of any issues. The food is of good quality and Mum really enjoys the meals - she is now thriving. The home is excellent and we feel so lucky to have got Mum in. We feel, as a family, that Mum is being very well looked after.

Dad is very happy when I visit him which for me speaks volumes.

She had fairly advanced dementia and it was no longer feasible to keep her with me at home. She did not take long to settle into the home and enjoyed the banter with the staff, whom she came to treat as family. I cannot fault the care she received especially when, with her dementia, she could be difficult at times. The best example I can give was once when I was visiting and she was sitting in her room waiting for me she told the carer, who was showing me in, that she needed her hair brushing, to which the carer very nicely said 'but I have just done your hair', to which my mother held out an imaginary brush. The carer then proceeded to take the imaginary brush off my mum, pretended to brush her hair with it by lightly using her finger, then placed the imaginary brush very carefully on the bedside table next to her. Mum smiled her thanks. I didn't need to see anything else, this was tender care. I have no hesitation recommending the home.

All staff are very friendly and courteous to my mother. Respecting dignity at all times. She speaks well of the staff and managers and enjoys the meals that are prepared and offered.

Coming from hospital, my mother could not get used to being in isolation, but was helped by the staff. Her room was comfortable and very clean. The carers were extremely efficient in everything they did for her. The manager was very helpful and informative, nothing was too much trouble and I am sure her stay will be a pleasant one.

Staff are informative and I feel that I can call anytime.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Don't worry about mum because I know they will get in touch with me if there's something wrong with mum, and I know she is being looked after well. All staff are very caring and seem to know what every individual needs. Would recommend the home to anyone.

I have always found the staff I have met to be pleasant and caring. My wife has never complained to me about anything.

Every effort has been made during these challenging times to normalise things for mum where possible. Staff appear very friendly and have been helpful on all occasions.

I always get a polite, helpful and friendly welcome from staff. They always ensure all Covid protocols are implemented fully. The home is really well run, giving the greatest care for all the residents. They are treated with great care, dignity and respect. The fees are very good value for money. It is always a pleasure to visit and knowing my friend is so well cared for and secure.

My grandma has been here for nearly 2 weeks, everyone has made her feel very welcome and been very kind to her. She seems to be settling in and happy.

I can't praise them enough especially during these difficult times.

I felt safe and secure during my week's respite care and was well treated by the staff. Unfortunately, frequent disturbances from other residents were distressing, especially at night.

Good standard of care and lovely staff. Extremely pleased with the level of support over Covid-19.

I was most surprised at the outcome of my wife being admitted to Chatsworth Lodge. The service and hard work by the staff and the friendly residents gave her much pleasure and brightened her life considerably. She is extremely well looked after and enjoys her life there.

I think the manager and staff are doing an amazing job in the very challenging times we are all experiencing. Well done to you all.
