The staff are always helpful, friendly and welcoming; they treat my mum as one of their own. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they take time to explain things in a way I can understand, not just in medical jargon. All the staff have been a Godsend during the lockdown periods, and I feel at ease knowing they are looking after Mum when I can't get in to see her.

The Meadows took excellent care of my mother during a lack of service provision by social services. Whilst initially apprehensive about entering a care home, the fabulous staff soon put her at ease and she really enjoyed her “Christmas Holiday” with the team and other residents.

My relative, who was in nursing care at The Meadows, became ill and needed palliative care. This was administered with dignity. She had been happy throughout her time there and her final days were made as comfortable as possible. I was allowed to visit as often and whenever I wanted to, to give her some support and assurance at this time. Thanks to all concerned.

I couldn't get in to see the inside, due to covid. My mother seemed settled when I visited, but without going into the home myself, it is hard to review the facilities. I reviewed it as good to give the benefit of the doubt.

We were satisfied with the care given to our mother. She was there for end-of-life care. I was sat with her most days with the door open. I never heard a raised voice or complaint from anyone. The staff were pleasant and kind and always came when I requested help for her. With regards to food, she hardly ate anything but there were carers trying to coax her.

Staff and care workers are caring and diligent towards Mum and I have no complaints at all. Thanks to all for their efforts during the covid era. I cannot comment on Mum's room as I have never seen it - covid rules.

I am delighted that my mum is here. When I visit, she is well dressed and looks cared for. Since February 2021, I have not had to worry knowing she is well looked after. During Covid, I've felt that she, and I as a visitor, are safe. I've not been in Mum's room due to Covid, but know that things have been put up to cheer my mum.

My spouse arrived at Rose Court in the evening; we were both welcomed warmly. After settling him in, I was allowed to be with him, reassure him where he was, and he was safe. Over his last six days, he was cared for with compassion and dignity. I and my family were also looked after through a traumatic time. I cannot emphasise how much this helped. All the staff were welcoming and professional at all times.

My parents moved into The Meadows in February 2021. I could not wish for a more caring environment for them during a very difficult period of adjustment. Since then, my father has passed away, all the staff were a great source of strength and comfort to my mother and myself. Because my mother is a resident at The Meadows, it has allowed me to be her daughter again.

My husband passed away on 19th June 2021. He was only at Rose Court for three days, but the staff were fantastic, caring and helpful, always asking if we needed anything. They are a credit to the home. Thank you so much for looking after my husband in his last few days of his life.

Although my aunt has recently passed away, for over the last 2 years she had been a resident of The Meadows Care Home. During this time she has received excellent care from the staff. The staff have always been helpful and compassionate in their care; knowing the needs of my aunt, which has helped to allay any concerns. All knew my aunt and when asked could readily inform me how she was, what activities she had taken part in and what she was wearing. Despite being disabled through a stroke the staff ensured she was always well dressed, her hair done and smart - always important to my aunt. With the difficulties caused by the coronavirus for the last year, the staff have also had to virtually take on the role of family for this period, which clearly has been difficult for all and which I greatly appreciate and thank them for.

My mother was living in Lavender Court up until just before Christmas. Then she was moved to Rose Court. She was looked after and cared for by great loving staff in both Lavender Court and Rose Court, which I cannot thank them enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them with the residents or visitors. Very highly recommended.

I have had three family members cared for by the staff at the Meadows (Rose Court); they were treated with dignity and respect. They deserved compassion and understanding for the relatives. Every member of staff from carers, domestic and kitchen staff gave the upmost care in giving my loved ones a comfortable transition into their next life.
I would highly recommend The Meadows.

Thank you, everyone.

The staff at Rose Court are absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. They were there not only for our Dad but for us as a family too. He was treated with the utmost care and dignity, for which we will be forever grateful. Unfortunately, our Dad died recently, and the staff are still there for us. They genuinely care for the residents and their families too.

My mother had her final days in The Meadows, and the staff were fantastic in every way caring for mum, and for us, as a family. Giving us support at this difficult time in our lives, and for this, I am forever grateful. You all do an amazing job, especially in this difficult time with the pandemic.

My beloved grandma was a resident at Rose Court and well, what can I say, the care was just outstanding! The compassion shown by all members of staff from nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and beyond was just amazing. They ensured my grandma's individual needs were met and were so supportive of her family too. Sadly, we lost my grandma recently, and that same care and compassion were demonstrated with utmost dignity throughout.

Thank you to all at Rose Court for all you have done for my grandma. You made her last few months of life safe, relaxed and enjoyable for her, and we will be forever thankful.

My mother-in-law had been in the care of Lavender Court for about a year, then on to Rose Court. She soon settled into Lavender Court, where we felt she was safe and enjoying games etc. Then on to Rose Court at end of life; she was given the utmost care from both homes from all the staff. Appreciate all they did to keep Mum comfortable; forever grateful.

I began my caring career at 19 years old as a care assistant and worked my way up to being a Home Manager over a decade ago. When I found Milford Care in 2023, it was like coming home.

Our ethos and values are so unique, and our passion for what we do makes Milford Care a very special place to be a part of. I love that every day is different at the Meadows, there is a diverse and unique community of people here, and I love to celebrate that.

I thrive in a busy environment with lots to do, and the Meadows is just that! I love to bring positivity and laughter to our home.

Outside of work, I love to keep busy, spending time with my family and singing in a choir based in Belper.
