The care and kindness we have experienced for mum and ourselves has been overwhelming, and I would have no hesitation in recommending the home for any family member looking for a place for a relative.
Kindness and care starts from the very top with the owners direct involvement visiting and sitting with residents and family, offering encouragement and always concerned about maintaining high standards. This standard of care is followed up by the Manageress who ensures high standards are the key factor of the care delivered to residents.
During our daily visits we have met nurses, carers and cooks and it is impressive to see not only their commitment to care, but to see them smiling and happy in the job they are performing.

- Outstanding - The service is performing exceptionally well.
- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
- Inadequate - The service is performing badly and we've taken action against the person or organisation that runs it.
- Not rated - we have not yet rated this area of the service, this is normally because the assessments we have carried out have been focused on other key questions.

I have worked at Morton Grange since 2002 and this is like my second home. I am a nurse by profession and have completed a Masters Degree in Dementia. I am a member of the Social Care Nursing Advisory Council and also the Chair of the Registered Managers Network for Derby and Derbyshire. I have won awards in Dementia care, Dignity in care, the Chief nursing officer award as well as a National Award for Registered Managers. I was also honoured with an invite to Buckingham Palace recently for my contribution to Social Care.
My door is always open and I work late into the evening meaning you can always come in for a chat with any questions you might have. I love my job as it feels like being surrounded by your family. My residents and staff are part of my family and together we are making lots of happy memories here.

My career journey started in 5* hospitality and then in 2008, I joined Morton Grange as their Administration Manager. Ensuring those who work at Morton Grange have the same common passion for caring means we can all thrive in such a positive environment. My career background ensures we keep high standards of maintenance, cleaning and hospitality. The residents will always be my priority and I believe they deserve the very best. I am here to listen to them and make their stay as comfortable and as welcoming as possible.
