Shelton Lock Care Home

My aunt was brought here from hospital for end of life care. From the beginning, the staff were professional, communicative and helpful. Whilst my aunt would have preferred to spend her last day at home, she was certainly well cared for.

My brother has dementia and is receiving nursing care which is excellent. The complete service of the home is through and very satisfactory.

I love Shelton Lock Care Home it is my home.

I have only visited a few times but found the staff very helpful. Having had limited exposure I have none the less found the home clean, there appears to be plenty of activities and it's always easy to find a member of staff to deal with any questions.

Dad was only in the care home for a few weeks until he died, but in the short time he was there the staff were wonderful. He was treated so tenderly and always looked clean and comfortable. Our family also were shown every consideration and given time to say goodbye because they kept us informed towards the end of his life. Can't thank the staff enough.

At a sad and difficult time, it was wonderful to visit my husband and feel we were among friends and he was treated with great love and dignity by all the staff.

I have been visiting my friend for many months now. The welcome I get is always friendly and helpful. My friend always looks very well kept and happy. The home has a lovely homely feel to it. This home would be my first choice if I need to go into a home.

My aunt was only at the home for a few short days, she was the end of life. The care was exemplary, good knowledgeable staff. Kind and compassionate at all times. My aunt had good care when it was important nothing was any trouble. They helped with arrangements after death too.

All staff extremely kind and compassionate. Nursing staff see to everyone's needs. Food is lovely and I eat regularly with my husband. Would like more fruit, other than that I am extremely happy with my choice of care home.

I have visited my friend at this home for a number of years. I have always found staff available and very approachable. My friend appears well-cared for in his disablement and need.

I find the staff very friendly and accommodating and the actual home, comfortable with a lovely garden, birds to watch in the aviary, clean everywhere too.

Food seems to be very good.

I feel sorry for the staff sometimes as they can't be in more than one place at one time and people can't understand that. I worked in a hospital ward so I do understand that. Also, messages are hard to pass on sometimes. Above all, very good "homely" home.

I'm really loving it here. I am treated very well.

My father is a resident at Shelton Lock Care Home. It is homely caring and safe. The staff are friendly and very caring. The management team are supportive and knowledgeable. I really like the way they know my dad and his little ways. I can't recommend this home enough.

They are all kind and helpful to the residents, even the chef who makes delicious meals.

My father has had to use respite several times in the last few years. We have not used Shelton Lock before. I will certainly recommend this care home. The staff actually care. Always felt safe and secure, room was very nice and clean. I have been treated with respect and dignity at all times. I couldn't fault anyone, they are all really really lovely and I'm not kidding. I love them all.

Very friendly atmosphere. All staff are very attentive to both residents and visitors. The home is clean, comfortable and kept at a pleasant temperature for the residents. I spoke to several residents and they all seemed happy, with mild joking comments with the staff. Members of staff were professional in their dealings with residents and acted very quickly when the need arose.
