Harley Grange Care Home is a purpose-built care home offering comfortable living for people looking for residential, nursing and dementia care.

I found the staff friendly and helpful. The place is clean and always tidy. I find in these difficult times it is very difficult to see my sister and you are doing your best within the law.

My aunt seems well-cared for and is quite happy and relaxed.
There is a pleasant atmosphere and the general staff are friendly.
The management is a bit defensive and could be more approachable.

Harley Grange has always provided excellent care. Since the virus lockdown, they send regular newsletters and photographs of your relative. So although you cannot visit them you can still see what they have been up to and how they are looking.

Over the last 2 1/2 years, Harley Grange staff have taken great care of my mother as if she was their own. They were very prompt in letting me know when she was near the end, enabling me to reach her in time. They also took great care of me at that time. Communication was excellent throughout and after

First impressions are very nice with a cosey entrance. Lovely caring and thoughtful staff. Dining area and living room are very clean and cosey too. Garden is kept looking neat and tidy. Overall, a very homely atmosphere, I would very much recommend Harley Grange Care Home. Very good food.

My mother was discharged from hospital for end of life care and I needed to find a suitable home at short notice. I viewed Harley Grange and was immediately impressed by its facilities and response to my enquiry. The manager visited the hospital the very next morning to carry out an assessment to enable
my mother to move. Since her residence began my mother has responded very positively to the care she has received from the caring and friendly staff.

I was transferred here from hospital for up to four weeks while some equipment and installations were installed in our house. I have never lived in a care home before and this has been a very positive experience. I have joked and said I sometimes think I am in a hotel!

I find the staff very friendly and helpful. Any problems they are there for you. I can't thank them enough. Mum has had such a traumatic experience but the staff at Harley Grange have been absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Harley Grange.

My friend has been a resident for the last 2 months. The staff have been very supportive during her difficult time accepting she can no longer live at home. They are kind and treat her with dignity. The activity facilitator tries very hard to engage the residents which can be difficult.

Visited today, Saturday, and was not impressed! Only one staff member visible, although there were others around they appeared to be hiding. One resident asked to go to the toilet and the member of staff disappeared for 15 minutes and when she returned seemed surprised nothing had been done for the
resident, who had wet herself by the time she was attended to.


Another resident was visibly distressed who was completely ignored. Nothing to occupy the residents. Only snooker on the TV. A film would have been more interesting. I have eaten with residents at meal times and the food is not good.

Thank you for your comments. We take all feedback seriously and aim to provide a kind level of care at all times. I am sorry to hear on this occasion you did not have a good experience of this. In response, the home manager will be holding an investigation to find out what happened on the day and will also feedback to the team regarding the findings of the investigation. The Home Manager has asked if possible for you to contact the home to arrange a meeting so more details of the issues raised can be discussed. The Home offers a varied activities plan over seven days and is staffed to meet our Resident’s needs. Management makes regular out of hours visits to ensure the home is meeting levels of kind care at all times.
