My husband who has mixed dementia now resides in the care home after a four week trial period. I gave 4 stars as there has been one or two basic care plans that I had to address more than once. Its's early days but my husband seems to have settled in nicely. The staff are friendly, caring approachable, and go out of their way to help with any questions you may have.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Eccleshare Court Care & Nursing Home. Your feedback is appreciated and we shall look in to the care plans. My door is always open for you to pop in so we can discuss your husbands care and needs further. It is a pleasure to welcome you and your husband into the Eccleshare family. Warmest wishes,
Thankyou to all the staff at Eccleshare who show competency and compassion towards my Mum Jan, it's very much appreciated at a difficult time for the family. The facilities are very good and catering is excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Eccleshare Court Care & Nursing Home. Your kind words and feedback mean a great deal to our whole team and to hear that you feel your mum is being cared for with compassion and professionalism during what we know is a very difficult time means...
Communication: this from my experience is the key to making people feel valued, the communication around the TEAM is second to none, the team let us know of any changes, incidents, falls, misbehavior (on mums behalf) and dietary changes almost instantly, this level of communication breaks down the stigma attached to the care industry and so often to care homes.
Great work Eccleshare, keep it up.
Thanks
Mums team.

My wife has been a resident for five years now. The care and support she has received throughout has been of the highest quality. All the staff I have met have been friendly caring and supportive and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for everything they do.
Thank you so much for leaving your review for Eccleshare Court Care & Nursing Home. Your kind words and feedback will be shared with the staff team here who will appreciate your lovely comments about the support they give to you and your wife. Warmest regards,
The care and kindness shown by all staff is outstanding. The staff once again went above and beyond in providing a 101st birthday tea party for my father, including catering, decorating the dining room with bunting, tablecloths, photos, etc. The 1237 squadron RAF air cadets were invited, along with the Warrant Station Officer, RAF Waddington. The air cadets provided a drumming session, and all came bearing gifts. The genuine concern of staff during my father's recent illness is humbling. My father is happy and treated with dignity and respect. He is lucky to be living in the right place for him, which gives peace of mind for the family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review for Eccleshare Court Care & Nursing Home. Your kind words and positive feedback will be shared with the staff team. 9/10 everything runs fine, if there is a problem it is quickly sorted at least that is my experience. Sometimes short staffed which makes extra work overnight staff.

My husband was here for 4 years, and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. We were always informed of any incident and kept up to date with his care. I would recommend this home, especially for dementia residents. The food was of high quality and well presented. Outings were varied and always enjoyed. The reception staff were equally good.

Your lovely comments and feedback will be shared with the staff team, and it means a lot to all of us knowing that you would recommend our home. Warmest regards.
My mum was sent here from hospital. From the moment I walked in when mum was admitted I knew I'd made a terrible mistake. She was left hanging in a hoist as the battery was not charged, before being taken in the lift to her room, shouted at for not for not lifting her leg (she had had a stroke) and put into a bed with no cot sides, which didn't appear till the next day! Arriving the next morning mum had a large skin tear on her stroke hand, she was given a normal meal for lunch, explained she was a level four puree as in her notes, mum was then given a soft diet, spoke to the nurse and she said it was a puree, didn't even know the difference! Mums leg fell out of hoist, had her chest burnt in the shower, often left in a wet bed, fought 5 weeks to get her out of there. I've worked in care 3 decades and knowing what to look for, I've never seen such bad care. Please don't do it!
We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how distressing this must have been for you and your mum. Ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of all our residents at Eccleshare Court is our highest priority, and we take feedback like this extremely seriously. We would like the...
The home needs some attention. Don't believe the owners spend much on it, especially as the fees are disgusting for what the residents receive. The manager is lovely and very helpful but one member of staff thinks she is the manager.

I am happy with the care mum receives. I don't like being unable to care for her myself but Eccleshare Court is the next best thing. The team are approachable and happy to help with any of my questions.

Overall rating good but some staff are better than others so lack of consistency. Silly little things which niggle at you could be easily rectified if staff took a little more time and care. For example, mother dressed in a really creased jumper, tee shirts left on all day with tea stains etc from breakfast, hair not brushed, wheelchair not cleaned on a weekly basis, like it should be.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review for Eccleshare Court Care and Nursing Home. Your feedback is truly valued and appreciated. We continuously strive to provide excellent care, food and engaging activities for our residents. Warmest regards
Seems to struggle keeping and motivate the key care and nursing staff as there is quite a turnover. The key staff are always amenable and approachable, unlike the management, don't see much of them and I don't feel they are approachable. The reception area is always a nice welcome. The care staff seem always to be smiling when with residents, even with the difficulties they face.
Activities are always good and interesting with a great variation, this person has now left so not sure how the direction will go. Time will tell. Food, mostly good with an excellent variety, occasionally you see something strange on a plate, like tinned tomatoes! The quantity of food served can be very variable, especially at tea time- sometimes 1 quarter of a sandwich and a cookie others 3 quarters of a sandwich and a cake, still less than 1 slice of bread! Occasionally more like a fish finger and a few chips. But the quality is good, just make sure all carers distribute the same and a minimum of two slices.

My husband receives excellent care from the care staff. They are friendly, cheerful and caring despite having a difficult job to perform. We have never had any reason to complain about the service we receive. I know I can rely on the care my husband receives and he is in safe hands. The food is good and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard. I would recommend this care home.

Harriet has nearly 15 years’ experience in the care sector, including 9 years as a qualified Adult General Nurse with a strong background in mental health care. As Home Manager, she is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care and creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and supported to live fulfilling lives.

David joined Eccleshare Court in April 2018, after working as an agency nurse and had done some shifts at Eccleshare over the previous 2-3 months. He really liked the home, so he applied for a permanent role. Prior to this, he worked for United Health in care homes in Lincoln and Scunthorpe so he was familiar with the care home environment.
David felt that he could use his skills in a more meaningful way in a care home, as nurses have much more time with people and don’t just treat them and move them on as quickly as possible. In a care home you get to know a person’s medical history but also their personal background enabling you to build long term relationships not just with them but their families too. You make connections with people that you just don’t get working in acute care. The goal here is about enabling people to have the best possible quality of life.

Noel works closely with the care team, residents and their families to understand everyone's individual preferences and nutrition needs. He takes care to ensure that he asks for feedback by speaking to residents regularly about their meals.
Noel and his team provide fresh cakes every day in our coffee shop for residents to enjoy with their visitors. Noel is especially creative with celebration cakes for birthdays and special events and ensures that every resident has a personalised birthday cake.
