Mum seems to have settled, after being in the home now for approximately three months. Seems happy. The only problems we have as a family is trying to talk to her on the phone, every time we ring the phones are playing up and the staff have to ring back, on their own mobile phones.

My mother had only been in the care home for a month before lockdown started so I didn't get a lot of chance to evaluate the place. What I did find in the time I had, I was very satisfied with. Mum has a nice room, the staff are lovely and she soon settled in. I am looking forward to visiting more often
as soon as I can. I wish they'd had a screened room to visit in lockdown.

We visited Aspen Lodge without an appointment when looking for a care home for Mum. The manager at the time was professional and friendly. No request was too much trouble. The staff were kind, courteous and lovely to Mum. With the care she received, I felt I was given an extra two years with her. I
have no hesitation in recommending Aspen Lodge.

Our mother is shown love, respect and dignity at all times by all staff.
We have been shown the highest standard of compassion during the bereavement of our father who sadly passed away. His final hours were respectful and much care and dignity shown at all times. We can do nothing but praise all concerned

Dignity and respect, love and care shown by all staff always. Father passed away surrounded by caring staff. His final days were spent in a superb home. Staff treat you all like family. Wonderful place.

When Dad first arrived at the home he was very confused, he was reluctant to enter the home, staff were very helpful by coming out of the home to talk to dad and reassure him.
Eventually, he went into the home and was settled in well with excellent help from all the staff, including the manager.

My mother became a resident 3 months ago and we were under the impression that where residents were mobile, they were encouraged to socialise. My mum has a lovely room and is well looked after but still spends most of her time in her room with meal brought to her on a tray. She needs people to mix with
and activities to keep her occupied. We could have kept her in a room and fed her.

My sister was in Aspen Lodge for 2 and a half years. Whilst she was here, she received the very best of care. The staff are warm, caring and efficient and her time here has been very happy. She is leaving to go back to her native Nottingham to be closer to her family, otherwise, I'm sure she would have
spent her final years happily there.

Very homely and always clean. The staff go above and beyond and genuinely care about their residents. Residents are treated with respect and looked after to a very high standard. Food is excellent and regular throughout the day. The care my grandad received on his final days was outstanding. We never
had to worry that he wasn’t being looked after properly. Highly recommend.

I moved to Aspen Lodge Care Home after I was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer after my daughter recommended I use it. I can say that I have been satisfied with everything while I have been here and would recommend the lodge to everyone. The staff are wonderful, the food is excellent and rooms spotless.
