Management & Staff are Outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, they will do their up most to Grant residents & Family wishes, ranging from care, to Meals to entertainment, even favourite bed time drinks ! The whole team is so friendly & all staff & residents seem very happy.

Recent introduction of a structured regular entertainments program, instead of random visits is appreciated although anything like this needs input from the residents relatives to succeed long-term.

We will always remember the two months he was in Cedars and thank you all for everything. In his final few days, it was clear how much he was also respected and the steady trickle of carers coming to see him and check on us was beautiful, and so appreciated, thank you so much.

My husband moved in last week and has settled in very quickly. All the family and friends that have visited this week have commented on how clean and airy the home feels. The staff quickly got to know my husband's care plan and medications were in place swiftly. The staff are all very friendly and approachable. The food is excellent - all home-cooked and healthy but tasty!

All I can say is what a wonderful nursing home. I am. really happy with the care they provided. When I go in everyday to visit my father the staff are extremely helpful and do an amazing job making sure the residents are safe and they treat them all with dignity and kindness. Leanne and Julie and all members of staff are very approachable and professional at what they all do.The residents are there main priority which is what you want to see. If you ever have any concerns they are dealt with in a most efficient and professional manner. The residents all seem to be busy doing activities with Sara the activity coordinator who involves everyone which is great to see. Nothing is to much trouble for the maintenance staff if we ever need help with putting aTV on the wall or door hangers up. I thank you all for making such a traumatic experience (Dad having to go into nursing care ) such a positive and supportive experience. I would definitely recommend The Vale your doing fantastic.

My father has been at Aspen Lodge for a year now and I could not have asked for a better level of care for him. Kate and Sam, the managers of the care home, go on this difficult journey with you, they take the time to listen and help on a daily basis. They also remember the seemingly small things like our family's names which really means a lot and shows that they care. The staff are incredible, my dad has lots of challenging behaviors which they handle with ease. They also remember small touches like, my dad loves extra butter on his toast and cream on his porridge, this really puts a smile on my dad's face. My family and I are so so grateful to Aspen Lodge. Larches side of the care homes is very friendly and welcoming there are lots of activities to occupy the residents. Mum and dad love it here they say they are well looked after by the staff.

Those final weeks meant everything to us and knowing that she was comfortable, supported and surrounded by such warmth gave us real peace of mind during a very difficult time. We will always be grateful for the love and dedication shown to my mam. Thank you for making such a difference when it mattered the most.

I am a Section 12 approved GP visiting at the request of a family member to undertake a Mental Capacity Assessment. I was impressed with the orderliness of the establishment and, in particular, with the Unit Lead (Zoe) for her knowledge of the patient.

I was disappointed, if not disgusted to find that the resident cats had been removed on the whim of one complaint. The therapeutic effect of pets on mental health especially in the aged population is well documented and I feel that to deprive your residents of this opportunity for interaction and comfort is nothing short of disgraceful. I sincerely hope that the person who was petty enough to make this complaint is thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

The care she received was excellent as her dementia progressed . She made friends in the home and was well cared for until her death . The staff were caring , proactive and professional and sensitive at the end of her life.

The care is excellent especially the nursing who have always got time to listen everyone is appropriately and have always got my bother best interests at heart it is clean well kept and the food looks fresh

My aunt + uncle moved into Wainfleet Care Home in Oct 2025. They have received the most amazing care and affection especially after my aunt passed away in December 2025. I'd like to especially mention the carer - Daniel - who accompanied my uncle to the funeral. It was his day off and he purchased a suit to wear for the day. His care for my uncle that day was so kind, personal and thoughtful. Thank you.

My Dad is 91 and was admitted at the same time.

My father moved to Ty Mawr in September 2025 ,when he arrived he was very anxious and wasn't sleeping at night, since he has been in Ty Mawr there has been a remarkable improvement , obviously his memory hasn't improved but he can interact with the other residence which is a pleasure to see .Also since the new Management have taken over there has been a great improvement to the living arrears and Bedrooms , the new Muriel's on the walls are great , I would recommend Ty Mawr .

Over the last 4 years the care shown to my mother-in-law has been extremely good. Their care and compassion showed even more when my mother-in-law passed away in November. Not only were the staff considerate to my mother-in-law they helped us through a difficult 3 weeks. We can't thank them enough for all they have done for our family.

We never felt he was just a number, and the amount of staff who popped in to say their goodbyes to my father was heartwarming, and something we will not forget.

I was in hospital for two weeks & l don't remember going in. My sister said l nearly died. They now have a clinical nurse called Jane which is better. My lens from my broken glasses were saved in the glasses case but was taken away & can't be found so Leanne said said because they weren't bought from the visiting opticians, they won't be replaced which is unfair.

My father moved in to Ashville at the very end of August 2025. He settled very quickly and was cared for in a professional manor. Dad was suffering with advanced Alzheimer's and life was difficult for him. All of the staff were patient, understanding and so respectful towards him. I cannot fault them in any way. Unfortunately dad is no longer with us but I know that during the final months of his life he could not have been looked after any better or made more comfortable than he was at Ashville. The staff were always wonderful with us as a family also. Nothing was ever too much trouble and were were always greeted with a smile and cup of tea when visiting. If Dad could have chosen a home himself I'm sure he'd have picked Ashville.
