Toray Pines Care Home

This is my mum's first time in a permanent care home, and particularly during these difficult times, all the staff have made this transition for my mum most pleasurable, and they have been very supportive to my mum and myself.

During these difficult times, the staff have been excellent and made my gran feel welcome and comfortable. The home is clean, and the food is excellent. My gran has settled quickly; she is very happy and content.

Chairs were comfortable, and our relative was soon opposite.

The visiting pod was very clean, and communication was good.

Safe in the knowledge that my mother is in good hands, eating well and living an excellent life!

For the last six months, while living at the home she has thrived, this is down to the dedication and heartfelt support of the staff. The activities personnel are outstanding, my mum now takes great pleasure in arranging, sticking and displaying anything that is put in front of her. She has a new group of friends that she wants to spend time with, an extremely caring and supportive team of staff around her in a clean, tidy and well-organised home. The team have made a huge difference to Mums life, she now enjoys every day, dancing, laughing, eating puddings and generally being her old cheeky self. Thank you to a great team; you are making a real difference to Mums last journey in life.

In my opinion, my father was given a quality of life he might not have enjoyed elsewhere and I will always be indebted to the staff who were tireless in the professional and compassionate care they extended to my Dad, their kindness will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

From the moment my parents were admitted to Toray Pines, they were treated as part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are caring, loving and empathetic. I cannot rate this home highly enough. During her last days, Mum was struggling and the staff rallied around her. Nothing is too much trouble for the Manager who always kept me updated with changes in Mum's health. I don’t have enough space to describe my admiration and gratitude to the earthly angels in Toray Pines. To the two ladies who sat with her as she breathed her last breath, I salute you both. Nobody could have done more and I will never forget your gift, to Mum, of the yellow rose and how beautifully she was dressed. Dad loves living at Toray Pines and speaks of the staff with affection. He struggles to mobilise and the staff are constantly reminding him, in such kind ways, to use his walker. God Bless you all at Toray Pines.

Excellent care home, beautifully decorated and maintained, and with a truly outstanding staff team. Care and compassion are shown through every element of daily life, patient's dignity and respect are always maintained, and staff strive to go above and beyond. During the challenges of the Covid Pandemic, they have adapted, supported and ensured we could maintain ties with our relatives through phone calls, video calls and email updates. I would recommend Toray Pines without hesitation, and will always be grateful for the care shown not only to my nan but to me also.

My father has been here since February this year after an operation. I cannot praise the staff enough; they have worked wonders with my father, friends and family that have visited him whilst they were able before the lockdown. I cannot believe how well he looks and how happy he is. I do not know what magic they have, but his quality of life has improved 100%.

Cannot fault any member of staff. All helpful and considerate. Allow patient dignity and comfort. Contacted when necessary and swiftly. Don't get frustrated when ones are difficult and deal with falls etc., very quickly and professionally. Cannot be more satisfied, apart from 'things' going missing! I hope your staff are appreciated.

The care staff do care!

Toray Pines is a beautiful care home, so well managed by the manager and her team, it is home from home for the residents. The carers are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble, and they are always cheerful. The home is always clean and tidy, with no unwanted smells. Lots of activities and games, not to forget the theme teas like 'tastes of India'. The one thing I must say is when I go home after visiting my wife I have no worries, I know she will be well looked after and safe.

If I was in similar circumstances as the majority of the residents I would without question apply myself to be able to call Toray Pines my home.

My parents were admitted on 11/8/16 for respite care and we cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Toray Pines. I wish in particular to mention the activity manager who has been absolutely marvellous. She has communicated with me whenever we have contacted her, she has gone above and beyond to help our family at what has been a very stressful time. She is a true credit to this establishment and I cannot speak highly enough of her.

My mother has been at Toray Pines since December 2016. Staff are always pleasant and obliging. Any queries we have had, have been dealt with efficiently, quickly and explained clearly.

My mother has been in Toray Pines for 15 years. I all that time, she her sister and friends have been treated with utmost care and love. The staff and home staff has changed over the years, which has always been managed with little disruption to residents. As and when, if as a family we have any reason to speak to matron or management there has always been total professionalism throughout. My mother is a fine example of a well managed caring home. Excellent food/facilities.
