My mother-in-law lost her husband, she moved to Willow Court being unable to live alone. She was welcomed by all staff who have been very sensitive about her loss. The grieving process is a long one, especially after 65 years of marriage.

I cannot fault the staff, my mother-in-law's needs have been met, she has a lovely room which we have been allowed to make feel like home. There are numerous activities to take part in and the home cooked locally sourced food is excellent. We feel very happy that she has been placed at Willow Court, this is certainly a different league to other care homes used for respite care. Thank you.

As a result of the support and care shown by staff my mother settled very well into Willow Court. It was a difficult time for her as she had just lost her husband. The care home provided a carer to look after her on the day of the funeral. The level of care, sensitivity and professionalism was exemplary throughout this difficult day.

Mum has been living at Willow Court for just over a year now and during that time I have, on many occasions, been impressed with the level of care she has received and the kindness shown her by members of staff, particularly when she has been unwell. Low staff turnover means she has consistent and familiar carers who have come to know her well. Everyone is very approachable and any problems have been dealt with in a thorough and professional manner and outcomes reported back to me quickly.
With a resident activities co-ordinator and their own minibus residents can go out on visits as well as enjoying a wide range of in-home activities and entertainment - so important to someone like Mum who always enjoyed socialising. There is also a good range of visiting professionals eg. chiropodist, beautician.

Before deciding on Willow Court Mum and I visited a number of local care homes but Willow Court stood out as having a far better quality offer and it has lived up to our expectations.

My Mum came to Willow Court as a result of reaching crisis point at home. Unfortunately, despite many requests for home-care support, my elderly Father had struggled to look after her at home on his own for a number of years; however, Mum was in the latter stages of Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and becoming increasing fragile.

Sadly on the 1st January 2016 Mum lost all mobility and the need to move her to a nursing home was essential. At what was a most distressing and worrying time for all the family, we met Care Home Manager who quickly put the 'wheels in motion' and Mum was admitted on the 5th Jan. From that moment on we were all welcomed into the Willow Court Family and I can not praise highly enough the kindness and compassion shown by all the Care Workers, Nurses and the other staff we met.
Sadly, due to the rapidness of Mum's deterioration in health, it became necessary to discuss palliative care and again, both the home and doctors were empathetic and professional in both their approach and support of our desire for Mum to avoid hospital and remain at the home as our preferred choice.
On Jan 24th 2016 Mum peacefully passed away with her family by her side, in her room, surrounded by pictures and mementos of the Grandchildren etc.
As a very close family, we could not have asked for a more calm and peaceful passing and everyone at Willow Croft helped ensure Mum stayed safe and well cared for til the very end.
Dad went to see Mum every day whilst she was in the home and the staff were also brilliant at ensuring he was really well looked after and supported at all times.
From our experience, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Willow Court as their genuine concern and kindness is what makes them special.

Thank You All once again for all your help and support. XXX

All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. My mum was very poorly when she arrived here, and if this is where she is to end her days then I can think of no nicer place for this to happen.

When my mum was taken to Willow Court my immediate reaction was how friendly and caring everyone was. It was a relief to have her in such a lovely atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so understanding because when you are not sure about anything it is fully explained. A truly wonderful experience at a time when things could be very worrying. I would recommend the home to anyone.

Looking for a home for my mother was a daunting and upsetting time. The deputy manager at the time made it so much easier with her friendly calm approachable manner. Since my mum had been in Willow Court I feel she is well looked after and cared for with thoughtful attentive staff. All the staff are great!

I am so pleased there was a place here for my husband. The family is in full support. Relatives who visit are impressed by general conditions here. I feel that as my husband has numerous health issues is safe and well cared for. Food is very good and this gives him a good appetite. His cleanliness/hygiene seem very good. The atmosphere when coming in is very good no nasty smells. The staff look after him very well even when occasionally he can be a bit "naughty". I feel he is content and safe. The gardens/plants look nice. Occupational needs are well catered for and activities are second to none. Our only slight concern is sometimes he may not always get enough to drink as he needs help.
