The staff at Apollo make the home a comfortable, safe place to live for all the residents. My father was never one to join in until he moved there. He looked forward to the daily activities, walks to the park, sitting outside in the sun reading his paper & the occasional pub lunch. There is always a celebration (lots of decorations) going on, birthdays, Christmas, Halloween & party afternoons with music & dancing & we were always welcome to join in. We took in his own furniture, TV & pictures/photos to make his room feel homely. The staff always welcomed me by name every time I visited & had time to chat, especially if I had concerns about my father's medical issues. My father was contented & felt safe & looked after & we also had that same reassurance. I want to thank ALL the staff as they made my father & us feel part of their family.
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Apollo House that you took the time to share your experience.
We are honoured to have cared for your father . Knowing that he felt safe, content, and able to enjoy activities and companionship is...
At our initial meeting, the Manager of the establishment made it clear that the quality of personal care was paramount and that is exactly what we found in the attitude of the staff. Friendly and accommodating. My wife was only there for four and a half days as a result of having been discharged from hospital with a worsening chest infection. Staff were instrumental in securing a timely and appropriate outcome resulting in readmission to hospital for treatment. Totally satisfied with her brief stay at Apollo House.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we wish your wife a full and speedy recovery.
My Mum lost her life Tuesday 30th Dec, I'm so please she got to spend the last three weeks of her life with these amazing caring people, they also treated us The family with love we'll be raising money for Apollo house because they deserve all what we can get for them,

Apollo House has numerous activities each week and significant dates are celebrated (E.G. - Halloween - Birthdays etc)
Mum did have a fall which meant that she needed to be seen in a major trauma unit - the staff dealt with this so calmly and efficiently! We were informed immediately - as is usual, as the home keeps us up to date with any changes or issues. Mum was in hospital overnight and then discharged back to Apollo House where she was immediately reassessed and a new care plan implemented with positive effect.
I can highly recommend Apollo House as the care and personal needs of each individual resident is continually reassessed and changes are implemented and monitored.
Our team understands how challenging certain behaviours can be, and it means a great deal to know...
Felt happy, looked after and to be honest they provided amazing care. Without them I would not be going home today. Lovely staff. At all times they treated me with respect and exceptional care
Thank you all.
After a troubling time in hospital, dad's stay at Apollo was deeply healing for him. The staff were kind and attentive, his room was large and spacious (I think they're all a similar size) and there were some fun activities to be had too! The follow on care he received who facilitated his transition home was exceptional. All courtsey of the NHS, which really came through for us. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful to hear that your dad's time at Apollo was a healing experience for him. Our team takes great pride in creating a supportive and comfortable environment, and it's heartening to know that their efforts made a positive difference. We're...
My mum lived at Apollo house since January, she sadly passed away in the beginning of June. Mum's stay at Apollo was very nice and she was comfortable and well looked after. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Management have been very supportive . All in all the home is very clean and tidy. A happy place.
I applaud the dedication and care the staff showed my mother in law , she loved her time there after being transfered from hospital, can't thank them enough , the staff was patient and kind , food was amazing , she was very happy to be there and was sad to leave
All the staff were very helpful, caring, professional, polite and attentive to my husband. They showed endless patience and kindness with the sometimes challenging behaviour of some of the residents. They were always able to help with any special requests (my husband often wanted his lunch a bit later than the usual time as he wasn't hungry at the appointed time), and they very kindly served his lunch a bit later.
He improved enormously during his 6-week stay and is now back at home
Thank you to all the staff at Apollo House.

My brother-in-law has sadly now passed away but the care and kindness shown to him and the family during his final days was very much appreciated.

My father-in-law moved to a permanent care home in early Oct 2024. The family would like to thank the staff at Apollo House for their care of him. They even said they would miss him as he is certainly a character!
Thank you so much for your feedback! We hope your father-in-law is settling down in the new atmosphere.
I am writing a review on this lovely well well-maintained home and the staff are above and beyond at Apollo House, one of the best I have ever visited. Nothing is ever too much for them, they look after each patient so lovingly, I would recommend it to anyone and be happy for any of my family to be there. Top marks from management to domestic, can't fault the place.
Overall seemed a friendly home and my friend was ok being there.
Apollo is very caring and works hard with all their residents in my opinion, my husband has a lot of issues like so many there. But all the staff take it in their stride to reassure them when necessary.
We have found all the staff to be friendly, caring and kind during the hardest of times. We can not thank them enough for the care given to my grandmother during her time spent there. We would highly recommend them for their professional manner.
My dad was in here for 8 weeks, I was absolutely amazed at the care he received from all the staff on floor 3. I’ve worked in many care homes and the staff that work here are the most patient, understanding and polite carers I have ever met. I have not one complaint at all. My dad was visited at least three times a week by his family and every time the staff were amazing. You all deserve a medal.
My brother was in this care home for the last year of his life with Dementia. As soon as I walked in Apollo House I could feel the warmth and felt it was a very homely place. The facilities were good - he had a nice big room and an ensuite - all of which were meticulously clean. I was kept up to date by phone on how he was. I visited as often as I could and was always made welcome. The staff always had a smile for us. The were considerate, compassionate and very kind to all the patients. My son who is autistic could sometimes not go into the room with me as sometimes it overwhelmed him so he would sit on the floor in the corridor outside - he was always brought a chair and we were always offered refreshments. The atmosphere was lovely and calm. In his last days he couldn't walk he could only sit in his room. The staff made sure he had the radio on to keep him company - he loved music. I owe all the staff a huge debt for looking after my brother so well. Thank you.
The atmosphere at Apollo makes it always pleasant to visit. The staff are attentive and communicative and their attention to patients is exemplary and respectful. Well done.
All staff are very professional and caring. Looked after us when my father passed away with great compassion. Nothing was too much trouble, we highly recommend Apollo House Care Home to look after your loved ones. The home is very clean and well-run.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have Dad at Apollo House.
Communication about my mother’s medical condition was empathic, professional and totally reliable.
Everything that could be done to support my mother was done.
It is a pity that the review policy forbids naming anyone as the chief male nurse was outstanding in every respect.
