My husband has been at Apollo House for two years and in that time all the carers have been really polite and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I can't praise everyone enough for the very good care my husband gets.

My parents moved to Apollo House six months ago when they could no longer live at home. Apollo enabled them to stay together (despite their different needs) and spend valued time together until Dad sadly passed away.
Apollo has a great team and it really feels like you are part of a bigger family all
working together for the safety and well-being of your loved one(s).
The rooms are large, clean and well-equipped and you're encouraged to make them feel like home.
Apollo has provided a high standard of care, treating my parents as individuals, and with dignity.
Nursing care is excellent and the team works closely with the family. The management team is future-thinking, very supportive and understanding. Visitors are greeted like friends. Everyone works hard but makes time to say hello and give you an update.
As eye-watering as the charges seem when you are out of the system I can honestly say that it is worth it to know that your loved one is safe, well cared for and happy.

My husband was in Apollo House care home and died there in November. The care and kindness that was shown to him and to us his family was extremely good. Always a very welcoming and supportive environment we were shown such kindness always a cup of tea and biscuits and the staff would come and sit and
talk with us in what was a very difficult time. It's always hard to lose a loved one but knowing he was in a place that was familiar to him with people who understood him, and that he was always comfortable and cared for means a lot to us. Huge thanks to all of the staff who worked hard to make my husband's last days as good as they could be.

I don't have the words to express my feelings of total gratitude to all the staff at Apollo House. The nursing and care my wife received was excellent. The hard work they displayed at all times to all in their care. After visiting my wife I left Apollo House with knowing my wife was being well looked

I am very happy our Mum is now in Apollo House. She is well cared for and the staff are very kind to her. Like some of the other residents, Mum can have her off-moments and they know what to do to make her feel safe. I am so impressed with the way the staff are experienced with dementia. For example,
they develop strategies which are specifically tailored to the individual resident, taking into account the things they remember from their family life and former work. They are also very patient. It is also important that family members like me can feel at ease and have no tension when we visit. I never worry about visiting Apollo House and as a family member, I am always greeted and made to feel welcome. Aside: the fact that each floor has its own individual "restaurant" is excellent. What a good idea that is.

My mother was transferred to Apollo House from hospital under assessment. Throughout the assessment, the staff have acted with professionalism and kindness towards my mother, who can sometimes be quite a challenge. It is this professionalism and kindness that prompted the family to ask for my mother
to be made a permanent resident, which she now is. I am confident her needs will be addressed and she will be well cared for in Apollo House.

I was a little apprehensive about placing Mum here due to the CQC report. My sister and I visited first and were advised of the new management in place. Mum has been here just over 4 weeks and we cannot fault the place. Mum always looks well looked after, dressed nicely, and has clean hair. When we
visit the staff are very attentive, noticing if any help is needed and seem to genuinely want to support the residents, nothing is too much. Since being here Mum has had a TIA, they agreed to monitor Mum at the home rather than the distress of a hospital stay. The nurse keeps us updated on how Mum is. We have been able to visit regularly which is great.

Since the home has been under new management, the level of care received by my sister-in-law has improved markedly. Her health and general well being have improved accordingly. Our visits are now a pleasure. It is so good to leave the home knowing my sister-in-law is in safe hands. The care is personalised
and suits occasions such as birthdays - as in our case, nothing was too much trouble to make a special day, one to remember for all, including the family.

My husband has been in the home since November 2020 and he seems as happy as he can be. When I visit he is always clean and well looked after. After my wife had spent 9 weeks in another care home in another town following her release from hospital. After seven months she eventually arrived at Argyle House, 3 weeks before she died.
I cannot praise the staff of her care enough. Everyone spoke to us and the care she was given was superb.

My mum in law has been at this home for three months now. She has a lovely spacious room and we have been able to put her own furniture in it. She is very well cared for and all the staff are so caring and kind. The meals provided are excellent and are served in a lovely dining area. We are very happy

Overall, very happy with the care mum gets. Most of the staff are very friendly and informative and treat mum very well. The activities and entertainment are very good. Overall, mum seems quite happy.

I've been here since 27/12/17. I have never been in a home where staff (nurses, HCA, kitchen staff and housekeepers) are very friendly and they have gone that extra mile to make me feel I am a part of a family. I have made lots of friends to talk to and they all listen to any of my problems if I have
a problem. The management is always there to comfort me and make me feel I'm at home.

I am very pleased with the care my Husband receives. He is happy and likes the food and eats well. The chef is very obliging, my Husband likes salmon and I asked the chef if I took some in would she cook it for him which she did and he enjoyed it. It's the little personal touches that mean a lot.
