Carers are very helpful and show empathy.
Activities are okay, although activity assistant often finds it difficult to manage on her own, needs more help.
The rooms are generally well maintained. The lounges could do with being brighter, not well lit and the residents cannot see to read or knit etc on these dull; winter days.

Mum enjoys the camaraderie of living here.

My mother-in-law doesn't like getting out of bed and sometimes get upset. The staff are always supportive, kind and give her a cuddle when needed. There's never an unkind word spoken, even on one of her bad days, she loves living at Glenmoor House.

The care my brother received has been first class. He feels very safe and secure. Staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is a good one. Meals are very good, his room is bright and airy with a view to the beautiful gardens. We could not wish for a better end of life experience for our brother. Thank you.

In the time that my "Aunty" has been a resident, I have noticed visible improvements in her physically. She benefits greatly from the social aspect of eating together in a dining room and the variety and quality of food are clearly nourishing her, helping her to gain a little weight and have better colour and tone to her skin.
There are a variety of activities arranged to suit the interests and abilities of all residents, "Aunty" particularly enjoys the singers who visit and she joins in readily with the songs that she is very familiar with. Other activities that are arranged are both mentally and physically stimulating.

As a resident with dementia, she is not always easy but the staff treat her with dignity and respect, which is a comfort to see. Overall "Aunty" is happy as a resident and I'm confident that she is well looked after. As a regular visitor, the staff recognise family and friends and treat them with a professional yet friendly and kind manner.

Whenever I visit mum, I am always welcomed like a family member and greeted by my first name. Even when I have not been able to visit as regularly as I would like, due to my own health, my mind is put at rest in the knowledge that mum is well looked after. Should her condition change suddenly, we would be informed straight away. The home has a pleasant atmosphere, just like a home from home.

My husband is well looked after and has settled happily here. I sometimes feel his personal care and clothing could be better but am not sure if it is his problem with mobility that creates the situation.

In the last four months, the activities and food have improved greatly for which we are really grateful. I would love to see the management walking around a little more often so that they can relate to residents and see all the positive things happening.

I have no complaints regarding the service my mum has she's well looked after. There is plenty of entertainment daily with excellent entertainment staff residents seem happy and content. The chef is excellent giving a good varied option of tasty food. The resident's families all know each other and it's like a little family. The carers are kind.
