The bright and spacious home boasts a number of sitting rooms where residents can enjoy some TV, reading or simply spending time catching up with other residents. Bedrooms are cosy yet well equipped to offer residents the care they need, providing a private space where they feel safe and at home. Silverwood also offers a popular hairdressing salon and a beautiful courtyard garden, which is cared for by some of the residents, complete with a budgie aviary, fish pond and water fountains.

We had been looking for a nursing home and got recommended Silverwood from a family friend. I can honestly say, from having a look around to losing Father, Silverwood went above and beyond for not only my father but myself and my family. The staff are so compassionate. I was unsure at first, but the
kindness of the staff is what swayed my decision. Thank you, Silverwood.

I searched high and low for a care home for Dad and it wasn’t an easy task. I visited Silverwood unannounced and met the manager and her team and the rest is history. Dad has been there for a few months now and the care and support we all receive is amazing. There is a very homely feel coupled with
quality expertise. Everybody cares and we have been made welcome at every visit. Thank you so much everyone. You are the best.

Sadly I could not look after my wife at home anymore as her needs were too great, such a hard decision was made to feel very comfortable and the process was handled with such compassion and care by the managers. The care staff are wonderful and did anything to accommodate her needs. Wonderful people,

The staff and management have been very helpful to myself and my husband. It was a massive decision for my husband to go to a care home, but I'm glad he came to Silverwood. I know that he is cared for when I can't be with him, and he is treated with respect.

My mum recently had the pleasure of staying at Silverwood. I am in complete awe of how this team pull together and makes every day special. No matter how busy the staff were nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone was happy to help. The management and admin were very knowledgeable and quickly
put any questions I had into workable sections. The care and compassion shown to my mum in her last weeks were second to none. I felt supported and loved by the staff and felt included in all aspects of her care. They work together like a big family. My only regret is that we didn't find Silverwood earlier. I want people to know just what a special place this is. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone.

My husband was looked after at Silverwood Care Home for the last two months of his life. The nursing care he received was exemplary. All staff - managers, nurses, carers and all others we encountered were kindness itself. They were attentive to his needs and to that of me and our son, while we were

My mum was a resident until she passed away last October; she was so happy there. She was loved and greatly taken care of by the wonderful staff that work there. She didn't want to go into a care home initially, but the care and love she received made it like home for her, and I am so glad she went
into Silverwood.
The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome when visiting; it has a warm welcome, with the offer of a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, even chocolate, as my mum was a chocoholic.
She was kept clean and tidy and a visit to the resident hairdresser when she wanted, who, by the way, is a lovely, friendly person.

Having only just come to terms with the loss of my mother in April this year, I would like to thank the staff at Silverwood from the bottom of my heart. The carers are fantastic from start to end. Although Mother wasn't at Silverwood long, it became an extended family to her. The kitchen staff went
out of their way to cook meals they knew mother would eat, and the well-being was just amazing, and management always had time for any questions or concerns I had. They made such a hard time for me as nice as they possibly could have. Thank you very much.

We cannot recommend Silverwood highly enough. The care my mum received throughout her time there was excellent, and all the staff really went the extra mile to help Mum and support us as a family. Mum spent her last months at Silverwood. I am so glad that she did. I found the staff to be extremely attentive to Mum's needs. They kept her clean and happy, and every encouragement was given in all areas. Her rooms were airy, clean and comfortable. As a named carer, I was welcomed in to visit and
care for Mum regularly.
Mum sadly passed away at the end of March, but the staff were with both her and me right till the very end and after.
The care given at Silver wood was second to none. I would highly recommend this care home. I miss my visits.

When we came across Silverwood, we were relieved to find a home that felt like people cared and the residents were their first priority. Silverwood is a happy family of caring professionals who gave my dad company and compassion as well as considerate personal care. I was delighted he was with Silverwood,

The staff at this cate home are excellent, coming as they fo from a wide range of backgrounds and seemingly unfailing in their care for the patients. Even the cleaning staff are not beyond showing care at times. This, of course, reflects on the high level of competency of the management team. The overall
welcome and help to visiting relatives should also not go without mention, considering the trials they have faced over the last two years. All in all, an excellent home.

From the first, Silverwood took great care of our mother. After only a week, they seem to know her and her needs well. Throughout the year until she passed away, the team kept us informed as to her health and progress.
The staff were friendly and open, and my mother said she liked it there.
The home
was always clean and tidy. They made every effort to meet Mother's needs, whether that was for a haircut or having her nails painted.
I would recommend Silverwood without reservation and in the strongest terms.

So very kind and helpful. Do anything within their power to make my nana comfortable and keep her pride and dignity. Lovely place to be, with a lovely outdoor space. I would 100% recommend it. Made to feel very welcome in such a difficult time.

After working as a Manager within residential and dementia care homes for the past 20 years, Debra has achieved many awards to highlight her commitment to kind care, such as Manager of the Year and Best Activities Provider.


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Debra has gained a wealth of experience in providing care to elderly people to help enrich their lives.


Debra closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that means they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoyed most about her role, Debra remarked: “I love being able to make a difference, as helping people fulfil their dreams as they get older is extremely important to me.”


Debra credits her biggest achievement to becoming a mother and grandmother.


Outside of work, Debra enjoys spending time with her seven grandchildren, teaching them how to bake and taking them to the park with her dog, DC.
