Everyone is always happy and cheerful. The care staff are really good. The home is always clean, tidy and welcoming. Really bright and warm and feels really homely. I've already recommended.

The staff are outstanding in their levels of compassionate attentive care. My mum spent the last 10 days of her life in East Lodge and was treated with gentleness, respect and good humour throughout that whole time.

I was less impressed with the agency nurses who didn't seem to fit in with the ethos of clear and open communication that your employed nurses always maintained. My brother and I spent each night with mum and were able to observe how well other residents were cared for too.

My mother-in-law passed away in early September 2019 in Silverwood Care Home.
All the staff were excellent and kept us informed at every stage during a very difficult time for the family.

I would recommend this care home.

My father was admitted to Silverwood for end of life care. Whilst sadly only in for a short time, I can honestly say that his care was first class and this alleviated a lot of our worry and anxiety during a difficult time. Staff were incredible - compassionate and caring to my dad and to us as a family. Thank you to everyone - I take my hat off to you.

I visit my mum on a regular basis and on what I see, I would say the level of care is good. Most of the staff are courteous and friendly. There are a number of staff that seem to be long-time served at Silverwood, others seem to come and go (high turnover). This is the only drawback I can pick out.

Overall, a good place.

In the last few months, there is a marked change at Silverwood.
The home is fresher and more inviting. The staff appear more motivated.

My father responds to the staff in a way that is heartwarming. They are brilliant with him.

The management were very helpful in all respects of her care and finance. The staff help mum a good deal as she is not able to do much for herself. Alternatives are offered at break time, she receives good care.

My brother had been to seven different care homes within a two year period. This one was by far the best nursing home. The staff, from management down to the office staff and cleaners, are excellent. The kindness shown to all visiting family by nurses and carers made our visits more pleasurable. When referring to Silverwood, he always said home, so that speaks volumes.

Mum is going through significant change just now, including my potential move away. However, I would not even be considering such a move without my trust in the staff and HC One's ethos, which they live really well. Thank you for your kindness.

Since moving into Silverwood, my mum has improved greatly. She still is not completely with us at times but very much better than where she was I put this down to the care staff and the environment she is in. The meals and care staff are excellent.

I was very pleased with my mother's care. I thought the food was great and the staff caring and always there to have a chat with her. Sadly she passed away on 12th July and two of the staff were at her bedside with my sister and I. They were stars.

I cannot fault this home in any way.

The staff were great and really looked after mum during her 1 and a half years there. She never did want to go into a care home but once she was there, she never once said I want to go home to my husband. The staff are marvellous and became friends as well as carers. Even when she passed, they were there making her comfortable. Brilliant. I'm only 50 but would want to go there.

My mother has settled really well into this lovely supportive and caring nursing home. The manager is absolutely superb and she has been responsive to any of our worries and concerns. She seems to be present in the home most of the time, even at weekends! The atmosphere amongst the staff and residents is relaxed and joyful. Nothing is too much trouble for all of the staff, from the carers to the kitchen manager and the activities co-coordinator. My mother has significant complex needs including Dementia and bowel problems which affect her diet and behaviour around food and drink. The staff have worked closely with the family to support her and ensure that she is prompted with drinks and given appropriate food. There is a real sense of being safe and cared for, as you would in your own home, and this is apparent right from first entering the lounge. The home makes me and my mother smile every day, it is certainly an asset to the Beeston area.

With a new manager in place recently, things are looking up at Silverwood. Already we've noticed some improvements, long may it continue This is basically a good care home with hard-working staff, but not enough of them, especially at weekends. The office staff and the team in charge of outings and entertainments etc are excellent and always ready to go the extra mile for residents and relatives alike.

Our father, who had last stage dementia and required palliative care, spent his remaining months at Silverwood.
The care and compassion given by the staff was exemplary.
This and the support provided to the family provided tremendous solace to us all.

Indeed we feel blessed.

I am so glad we got Dad into this care home. They are extremely proficient in management if people with Alzheimers/Dementia. My dad had three things that made it imperative he was well looked after - he had dementia, AMD, so was virtually blind, and hearing problems.
We made them aware from the beginning of his admission how much help he needed, and they didn't let us down - they kept an eye on him and recorded in his care plan any tumbles he had. They also had a pressure mat next to his bed - and a crash mat over that which would sound out if he was out of bed.
The staff were immensely understanding, caring, and knowledgeable, they took the time to reassure Dad if he got anxious or agitated about things.
Kept him warm, dry, clean and cared for, until the very end.

Thankyou Silverwood.
