Personal hygiene care to patients not attended to enough.
Food excellent.
Would not want my mother staying there as their £815.00 per week is not justified. Need more staff.
Thank you for your comments. Ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents is paramount to all the staff at Springwater Lodge and we welcome any feedback. We are very sorry that we have not been able to meet the expectations for kind care on this occasion. We have reviewed staffing in the...
Very happy to have mum stay with you. The staff are very caring and make mum feel very welcome.
Appreciate the consistent care and attention the staff give my wife. Good humoured and friendly they give us all the comfort that her dignity and health needs are catered for.
I like to say a big thank you for all the care and support that the carers have given to them since he has been at Springwater Care Home, they really are great persons to know. I know I'm pleased to have found a nice place where he is happy a big thank you again.
The welcome everyone receives here is the very best possible. I have friends who visit other homes and they have all been impressed with the service here. I know from my visits what a trial some of the residents are but I can only speak too highly of their care and dedication to their job.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
Cleanliness and hygiene were very good. My mother always looked clean and well-dressed.
Rooms and furnishings more adequate. The room was perhaps a little small if space was needed to walking frame and commode.
Activities were well organised and imaginative. I'm sorry my mother was not able to take part in more of them.
Excellent staff - caring, thoughtful and deal with residents with dignity and thoughtfulness. Nothing is too much trouble. Extremely humbled by them.
My father has been a resident for seven weeks. He has dementia. The change in him since coming here is amazing - he is so happy and settled and well cared for and that is such a comfort to us. The staff here are all wonderful and obviously love what they do, and they make the place a lovely environment to be in.
They are approachable - if as a family we have any concerns and try their hardest to resolve them asap. They try their hardest to make it a home from home.
I like it here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Food is good, better than I could cook. I have every I need. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
We were happy with my Mum's care during her stay, even though the staff seemed to be overworked and had limited time, but having said that they were caring and always dealt with anything I requested. It is a difficult job and we appreciate everything that was done to make Mum's life happy.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your Mother’s care. In relation to staffing levels, they are constantly being looked at to reflect the Homes and Residents current needs. The staff work hard and at times can be affected by colleagues last minute absences. These are normally covered internally but at times agency staff need to be used to ensure the Home is staffed at a safe level.
I like to keep to myself and they let me which is just what I want. Staff are always happy to help even when they are run off their feet. It is a lovely home and I am happy to live here.
Her needs have always been put first and her care tailored to her abilities i.e independence encouraged and encouraged to join in the social activities when she first went in. Unfortunately, her needs have altered and now she is totally dependent but the staff still treat her with respect and take her into the resident's lounge if she is up to it or eave her in her room if she prefers but they always pop in to see her.
They have always kept us informed if there are any changes to her condition.
I cannot speak highly enough of the home and the staff.
My mum received the best possible care at Springwater Lodge. The staff were always conscious of being respectful both to my mum and the family. Nothing was too much trouble. When she passed away the staff were brilliant.
My mum was clearly happy there, which was a pleasant surprise as she was independent and reserved, and never wanted to go into a home.
During the last week or so before she died, we stayed by her bedside sometimes 12 hours a day. Every member of staff without exception did everything to make her comfortable and also offered us food and drinks, and tried to look after us in any way they could. It was gratifying to know she had been well looked after during her stay.
The care given to my husband who had terminal lung cancer was excellent and the food was great. All staff were so helpful and very considerate and very supportive. I couldn't ask for anything better. Should I need nursing home care I hope I'd get the care and compassion that my husband got. Thank you to all the staff.
Dad felt welcomed and at home before he even arrived. He was overwhelmed at how the care staff and handyman were prepared to accommodate his wishes and desires. Nothing was too much trouble. It was wonderful to see him enjoy his food for the first time in months, it was delicious. The care and nursing staff catered for his needs with respect and dignity and allowed his sense of humour to see some action in his final weeks. This allowed him to pass away happy. I'm so pleased he was able to go to Springwater Lodge.
My mum only had a short stay at Springwater but the care shown to me and my family was outstanding. Thank you.
My wife has received excellent care in a safe, clean and welcoming environment. All staff were very friendly and treated my wife as an individual and very professionally. All cleaning was done regularly and thoroughly. Nursing staff reacted to all situations quickly and professionally. Management were fully aware of what was gooing on and regularly involved with the day to day caring of the residents. Routine medical procedures and general care procedures
The care staff are very good.
